Response to I'm disheartened

Scott:

It’s good to know that you have been added to the Lord’s church and that your teaching ministry is in the Lord’s church. (I am glad to inform you that I, too, have had a similar experience, through my father who, with/in his family, had gone through very serious studies of the Bible independently [on his own]. After a series of leaps from one denomination to another—several of them, in fact—he finally came to know based on his personal study of the Holy Scripture, that the teachings regarding man’s salvation and God’s expectations of the Christian to live faithfully in order to receive the crown of life in the end were/are found in the Lord’s church.) It is certainly our hope that you will continue to serve the Lord in that capacity for a long, long time.

I’m not so surprised at your reaction to this website—which has been misunderstood by some who have not paid special attention to its main objective. [Thanks for taking time to know “about this site for some time.” But please let me explain.]

This website known as “Concerned Members” speaks for itself—that it is for members of the Lord’s church who are/should be concerned about all the intrusion, diversion and division caused by zealous perpetrators of the culture-driven Church Growth Movement. These are the “change agents” operating in the brotherhood.

This website was not designed by its owners for those outside of the church, although their opinions and viewpoints are allowed to be posted. And in usual cases, “hatemongering” or the appearance of it, as you mentioned, is caused or initiated, in fact, not so much by those outside the church as by those within the church. While we are only to inform about what’s happening in “changed” congregations and the utter “havoc” experienced by them when unwanted changes were forced upon the members, the change advocates couldn’t care less, and they are here to distract and divert and effect negativity against all the warnings that we feel should be heeded by peaceful congregations in the event that they are attacked.

Please do not misunderstand that “concerned members” of the Lord’s church go along with you in the fact that the gospel of Christ needs to be delivered to the lost and dying world. That should be a mission to be accomplished by members of the Lord’s body, and to: “Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.” The unfortunate part, you see, is that the misguided objective of the “Church Growth” proponents is to exert their efforts to evangelize WITHIN THE CHURCH—instead of outside. And in so doing: (a) they provide entertainment to attract the “un-churched” [in reality, it is an invitation to a “collection” of those who happen to be members already of other churches in the community—and not those who do not know or haven’t heard of Christ; and (b) they intend to “transform the church” by changing its doctrine or set of beliefs and teachings only to CONFORM to denominationalism and to COMPROMISE the truth.

So, as you said, the gospel of Christ is timeless. It is our intent to thwart the efforts of the change agents with “transforming the Lord’s church” and with changing God’s directives for the church as their agenda.

If you have not been able to see that the change agents are here and there to compromise the truth and to conform to the teachings of the denominational world—from which you and I came—I don’t know of any other way to explain our cause any further.

Donnie

...........................THE BOOK

What Happened at the Madison Church of Christ?

There are thousands of churches being taken over across America.

This book is only about one of those churches. It's about the Madison Church Of Christ. By studying the methods used here along with the resource references you might be able to inoculate your church. At the very least you will recognize the signs early on.

Many of the current members of the Madison Church of Christ still don't know what happened.
Some never will know! This book is for them as well.

Madison Church of Christ was a 60 year old church. At one time it was one of the largest churches in the US, and the largest Church of Christ.

It thrived for many years on the vision of it's elders and those of it's ministers. Those visions undoubtably came from the the inspired word of Jesus Christ.

At sometime in the last 10 years there was a deliberate plan by a majority of the elders to take the Madison Church of Christ into a more worldly realm.

They used secrecy, covert planning, and outside sources to scheme and to change the format and direction of the Madison Church of Christ.

The Elders knew that the membership would never approve such a plan. Using the tools of the "Community Church Movement"(consultants, books, seminars, meetings, planters, seeders) they slowly started initiating change so it was never noticed by the members until it was too late.....

At the heart of the plan was the fact that old members were going to be driven off so new techniques could be used to go out and reach the unchurched through new "Contemporary Holy Entertainment" methods developed by the "Community Church Movement"

Old members had to be kept on board long enough to get their plans ready, or the funds would not be there to pay for the new building. So by the plans very nature, it had to be secret.

The church had no plan in effect to renew or approve elders. There was never any need. The elders had always been "as approved by God". 10 of the last 15 elders would begin to shed some doubt on that.

The Elders did not even need a majority at first, because some of the elders went along unwittingly.

This edition starts shortly after some of the members begin to smell something strange in January 2001. Later editions may go back and fill in some of the timeline.

To even start to understand whats happening here, you must read the background materials in the first of the book.

This is only the first edition, and not the end. New editions will be printed as needed. To keep abreast of current changes, please visit our web site; http://www.concernedmembers.com/madison

Here is the list of players;
