Rubel Shelly is feeling the heat for all of the STAFF INFECTION to replace the ministers claims that Timothy was a LOCATED MISSIONARY. If wrong, then Rubel is self condemned. West End has a $90,000.oo dollar Song leader when they probably have a dozen FREE ONES. Brent McCall is the EXECUTIVE minister (Kingly peasant) at Farmer's branch and heaven knows how many others teaching false doctrine. The Purpose Driven Cult speaks of making a transition to a STAFF DRIVEN church where all of their too-close buddies can join the coffee club. But this is all the BIG LIE where Satan makes you pay the bill for leading you into spiritual captivity even as you "sing and clap." Paul said to Timothy:
"Neither did we eat any mans bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you: 2 Thess 3: 8
For nought means:
Dorean (g1432) do-reh-an' acc. of 1431 as adv.; gratuitously (lit. or fig.): - without a cause, freely, for naught, in vain.
Ergazomai (g2038) er-gad'-zom-ahee; mid. from 2041; to TOIL (as a task, OCCUPATON, etc.), (by impl.) effect, be engaged in or with, etc.: - commit, do, labor for, minister about, trade (by), work.
1 ergazomai (Verb)
"to work, work out, perform," is translated "minister" in 1Co. 9:13; the verb is frequently used of business, or employment, and here the phrase means "those employed in sacred things" or "those who are assiduous in priestly functions." See COMMIT, A, No. 1. Notes: (1) The verb CHOREGEO, rendered "minister" in the AV of 2Co. 9:10, and the strengthened form epichoregeo, rendered by the same verb in the AV of 2Co. 9:10; Ga. 3:5; Col. 2:19; 2Pe. 1:11, in 2Pe. 1:5, "add," are always translated "TO SUPPLY" in the RV. Both verbs suggest an abundant supply, and are used of MATERIAL or of SPIRITUAL provision. See SUPPLY. (2) In Eph. 4:29, AV, didomi, "to give," is translated "minister" (RV, "give")
4 diakoneo (Verb)
Akin to A, No. 1, signifies "to be a servant, attendant, to serve, wait upon, minister." In the following it is translated "to minister," except where "to serve" is mentioned: it is used (a) with a general significance, e.g., Mt. 4:11; 20:28; Mr. 1:13; 10:45; Joh. 12:26 ("serve," twice); Ac. 19:22; Phm. 1:13; (b) of waiting at table, "ministering" to the GUESTS, Mt. 8:15; Lu. 4:39; 8:3; 12:37; 17:8, "serve;" Mt. 22:26, "serve," Mt. 22:27, "serveth," twice; the 2nd instance, concerning the Lord, may come under (a); so of women preparing food, etc., Mr. 1:31; Lu. 10:40, "serve;" Joh. 12:2, "served;" (c) of relieving one's NECESSITIES, SUPPLYING the necessaries of life, Mt. 25:44; 27:55; Mr. 15:41; Ac. 6:2, "serve;" Ro. 15:25; Heb. 6:10; more definitely in connection with such service in a local church, 1Ti. 3:10,13,
"to minister in priestly service" (akin to hierourgos, "a sacrificing priest," a word not found in the Sept. or NT: from hieros, "sacred," and ergon, "work"), is used by Paul metaphorically of his ministry of the Gospel, Ro. 15:16; the offering connected with his priestly ministry is "the offering up of the Gentiles," i.e., the presentation by Gentile converts of themselves to God. The Apostle uses words proper to the priestly and Levitical ritual, to explain metaphorically his own priestly service. Cp. prosphora, "offering up," and leitourgos, in the same verse.
Priests got a daily dole of food while serving at the temple.
THE PRIESTS HAD NO SALARY: THEY WERE GIVEN FOOD WHEN THEY WERE DISCHARGING THEIR TASK. THE REST OF THE NEEDS OF THE PRIEST WAS SUPPLIED BY HIMSELF. IF HE WANTED A NEW CHARIOT HE DID NOT BADGER THE WIDOWS TO GIVE MORE: ALL PRIESTS HAD THEIR SECULAR OCCUPATION.
Denoted among the Greeks, firstly, "one who discharges a public office at HIS OWN EXPENSE," then, in general, "a public servant, minister." In the NT it is used (a) of Christ, as a "Minister of the sanctuary" (in the Heavens), Heb. 8:2; (b) of angels, Heb. 1:7 ( Ps. . 104:4); (c) of the Apostle Paul, in his evangelical ministry, fulfilling it as a serving-priest, Ro. 15:16; that he used it figuratively and not in an ecclesiastical sense, is obvious from the context; (d) of Epaphroditus, as ministering to Paul's needs on behalf of the church at Php. ippi, Php. 2:25; here, representative service is in view; (e) of earthly rulers, who though they do not all act consciously as servants of God, yet discharge functions which are the ordinance of God, Ro. 13:6.
PAUL'S DEFINITION OF A MINISTER WAS ONE WHO WORKS WITH HIS OWN HANDS TO SUPPLY THOSE IN NEED. WHEN THEY WERE FREE PAUL TAUGHT THEM THE BIBLE AND NOT SOME PSYCHOLOGICL GARBAGE. If you cannot AFFORD to do that then you are excused: you will do more damage than good if you are not dedicated.
If one wants a Musical Worship Ministry he Pollutes the church. If one wants to lead the worship then he is a form of the minister or deacon:
Chorêgos 1 [choros, hêgeomai] or worship leader
I. a chorus leader, Plat.:-- the leader of a train or band, Soph., Eur.
II. at Athens, one who DEFRAYED the COST for bringing out a CHORUS, Dem., Aeschin.
2. one who SUPPLIES the COSTS for any purposes, Dem., Aeschin.
IF THEY ARE LYING ABOUT THE TITHE OR THE "LAW OF GIVING" GOD EXPECTS YOU TO BE AS WISE AS THE GUY WHO WANTS TO GIVE YOU 5,000.OO IF YOU GIVE HIM $1,000.OO.
WE despise scam artists who get about 5% to 10$ to the POOR. Why are we not as honest when STAFF DRIVEN and PURPOSE DRIVEN churches fleece all but about the same as the worst tele-marketers/
Think about it, time is short and you should resent being made a FOOL OF as Paul warned the Corinthians specificially about men held in admiration who ROBBED them: "Fools love to be fooled."
Jesus issued a DIRECT COMMAND: you can get 100% of your alms from your hand to the hand of the destitute. Jesus commanded you to PRAY in your closet. Paul issued a DIRECT COMMAND: you can glorify God ONLY by speaking or teaching or singing THAT WHICH IS WRITTEN. Can't fools see themselves as others see them when they are fleeced out of $90,000.oo for a Song Leader who is going to TAKE AWAY THE KEY TO KNOWLEDGE and, as informed by Amos, leave you hungering and thirsting for the WORD until someone puts a fishing hook into your nose and leads you away to the beat of harps and timbrels.
The message is close to 100%.When you fall under the Lucifer's Spell of cunning, crafty sOPHISTs (serpents), singers and musicians you will NEVER GET UP because you have lost the ability to read the FREE water of the Word.
Time is short If not, why identify yourself as one who would send $200,000.oo to the widow of Mumbo Jumbo who gave you "new style songs" crafted after Voodoo. He also gave you the "little man (spirit) in the big man (me)" Godhead.
Honest "ministers" have given up being rich and work to the point of trevail to FEED those who are destitute AS he teaches them the gospel." We have mortally sinned and only a heart crushing repentance and prayer can save us. In the mean time, craunched bones of widows are gnawed by Hypocrites or actors and Scribes as book peddlers and Pharisees who perform prayers and sermons so they can eat up the living of widows. Singers and Musicians are the unredeemable "sorcerers" and "parasites" working for the unholy prostitute.

Terry Briley and subverting Isaiah

The Lipscomb News: I Saw the Lord theme of 2002 Collins Lectures

The oozing toward Babylon really began with the Jubilee 1989 intending to radically restructure churches of Christ. Some of these KEYERS have moved on and "transistioned THEIR congregation" into the instrumental sect. Here is a picture of the ACCEPTABLE WORSHIP in Amos and Isaiah IF THEY HAVE THE RIGHT ATTITUDE.
Isaiah 6 is the subject of the lectureship. However, Isaiah 5 which Briley missed while writing a commentary speaks of God singing a SONG which is always a prelude to JUDGMENT.
As usually it is LYING IN WAIT TO DECEIVE to say that the people were condemned for a BAD ATTITUDE and "There is nothing wrong with their worship." God sings and the Spirit OF Christ gives the REASON which was IDOLATROUS WORSHIP which they performed with a good mental attitude:
Is. 5:11 Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; that continue until night, till wine inflame them!
Is. 5:12 And the harp, and the viol, the tabret, and pipe, and wine, are in their feasts:
......BUT they regard not the work of the LORD,
......NEITHER consider the operation of HIS HANDS
God did NOT say that you can hold religious festivals with wine, women and instrumental noise which CAUSES the people to be IGNORANT of the Word would be ACCEPTABLE if they just used music to make the lambs dumb before the slaughter WITH A GOOD MENTAL ATTITUDE. Their instrumental idolatry was BEYOND REDEMPTION because you cannot REPENT and make the people Bible Literate.
Is. 5:13 THEREFORE my people are gone into captivity,
......BECAUSE they have no knowledge:
......and their honourable men are famished,
......and their multitude dried up with thirst.
Eur. Alc. 766 Then taking an ivy-wood drinking-bowl in his hands and drinking unmixed wine, offspring of the dark grape, until the fire in it enveloped and warmed his heart, he garlanded his head with sprays of myrtle and howled songs out of tune.
There were two sorts of melody one could hear.
He was singing, paying no attention
to the trouble in Admetus' house,
while we servants were bewailing our mistress.
But we did not show our faces in tears to the stranger, for those were Admetus' orders. And now I must feast the stranger in our house, some knavish thief or brigand, while my mistress has left the house without my following or holding out my hand in mourning for her. She was like a mother to me and to the other servants,
Is. 5:14 Therefore HELL hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure:
......and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.
Is. 5:15 And the mean man shall be brought down,
......and the mighty man shall be humbled,
......and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled:
Is. 5:16 But the LORD of hosts shall be exalted in JUDGMENT,
......and God that is holy shall be sanctified in RIGHTEOUSNESS.
Is. 5:17 Then shall the lambs feed after their manner,
......and the waste places of the fat ones shall strangers eat.
Therefore as the FIRE devoureth the stubble, FLAME and the fire consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the Lord of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel. Is.5:24
All of the APOSTATES claimed that
Terry Briley: Jesus' citation of Isaiah 6 in the parable of the sower in Matthew 13 suggests that losing sight of the glory of God is recurrent in human history, making a study of the book just as relevant today."
Outwardly, there's nothing wrong.
But their hearts are not engaged and their lives are disconnected from their worship.
