This prophecy in Isaiah 6, 29 also appears in Ezekiel 33 where God likened the SINGING and INSTRUMENT PLAYING to the Jews looking for homosexual favors from Ezekiel and God.

From long experience I can tell you that people CANNOT begin to grasp plain English that these people were not TOTALLY DEPRAVED so that they were limp noodles just waiting for the "spirit person" to get INSIDE of their carnal body and GIVE them faith because they are such ingrates that they REPUDIATE God Who gave the GIFT of Faith by giving us HIS WORDS to believe.

These people were not BORN slaves to sin but they YIELDED themselves to sin. The word is NOT predestinated but:

Histemi means to

Histemi (g2476) his'-tay-mee; abide, appoint, bring, continue, COVENANT, stablish, hold up, lay, present, set (up), stanch, stand (by, forth, still, up). Comp. 5087

They made a personal COVENANT with sin. They had FREE WILL. They also had the power to COVENANT in another way. Therefore, they were NOT predestinated TO BE a slave as indeed the idea is not Biblical and is insane.

But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin,

but ye have obeyed from THE heart that
form of doctrine which was DELIVERED you. Rom 6:17

In Romans 6 Paul defines BAPTISM as the FORM of doctrine. This is a TYPE which means a "PATTERN INTENDED TO BE IMITATED." Grace lets us be baptized instead of--like the thief on the cross--being crucified for OUR OWN sins.

They obeyed from the HEART which proves that they were not BORN SLAVES unable to obey the gospel.

In Romans 10 Paul insists that FAITH COMES by hearing the Word of God. "Calling on the Name of the Lord" is what we do when we ASK for God to cleanse our own spirit. (Acts 22:26 from the same Paul."

Only AFTER repentance and obedience to baptism are our sins REMITTED. Walt would say that HE never HAD any sin because he was predestinated from eternity to heaven, FAITH was put into his head and he has always been FREE from sin. However, the CONTEXT of his proof text says;

God has turned Walt over to Satan for strong delusions if he quotes 6:20 and CANNOT SEE that Paul speaks of VOLUNTARILY yielding yourself to sin and also OBEYING from your own HEART or VOLITION the gospel which INCLUDES the demand to be baptized.

Oh, so being a VOLUNTARY SERVANT of sin does NOT mean that they were DEAD and unable to hear, believe, repent and be baptized SO THAT their sins would be remitted. Sin has to MATURE to bring forth DEATH. On the other hand, there is NO LIFE until you have become a SERVANT of Christ at baptism:

But now being made FRE from SIN, and become servants to God,

ye have your fruit unto holiness,
and the END life. Rom 6:22

For the wages of sin is death;

but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Rom 6:23

Until Walt TURNS to the Lord and is CONVERTED, Paul says that he will not be able to read BLACK TEXT on white paper. We have pointed out in another thread that Augustine could ONLY have gotten his power to ACCUSE a holy god of lusting to burn little children to PROVE that he was sovereign from Carthage the later site of burning children as a sacrificial meal to MOLOCH. This writer has found no other source from which Augustine--with his own troubled sexuality and fear of Satan--concocted the evil dogma that GOD is Himself no more powerful than Moloch and therefore it is not a stretch to say that the "god" of Calvinism is a DEMON SPIRIT and not a HOLY SPIRIT. Sprinkling infants is indeed a SUBSTITUTE invented for the mothers who burned their infants in Carthage. Baby sprinklers or "dedicators" are practicing an ancient substitute demon worship.

Walt and Faithsite: The Bible teaches that every person, every single one since the fall of man is born without the ability to love God in and through their own self and that is why salvation can only be given totally by grace through the work of Christ "He bought those He saved with a price". Sin has affected the will, the heart, mind and emotions - the human is completely sinful. The human is not as "bad as one can be" but never the less the human is completely affected by sin. Some people found a term for this 'condition' of the human and this term fits very well, it's called "total depravity".

...so by nature, the human is a child of wrath - Eph 2:3 and can't in their own initiative please God enough to justify them for salvation - Romans 3:1-10.

Of course the latter statement is the usual CONFUSION from the belief that others THINK that they can JUSTIFY THEMSELVES by any effort. But, again, like his father ZWINGLI, he has mixed up justification with salvation or regeneration. We are justified if we FEAR GOD and WORK RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Ac.10:35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.

Being justified means that we are not UNCLEAN in a ceremonial sense as pigs were unclean but declared PURIFIED because Jesus told us so. However, pigs are not saved or regenerated. Because we have no inate ability to HEAR GOD directly He provided GRACE by speaking to us through His INCARNATE WORD. Anyone who HEARS that Word and believes it is "given the power TO BECOME children of God."

That man is totally depraved is evident from his being a CHILD OF THE DEVIL--fathered by the devil, of the same moral nature, without salvation, destined to the same hell to which the devil is destined." (W.A.Jarrel, Gospel in Water. pp. 251,252)

ONLY Cain is said to have been OF THAT WICKED ONE. The word CAIN derives from a MUSICAL NOTE or mark. It was the children OF THAT WICKED ONE who used all of the arts and crafts to seduce people away from the WORD of God. However, neither Abel, Seth or anyone else is said to have been THE SONS OF SATAN. Indeed, they are declared to be RIGHTEOUS people who walked with God.

"Inasmuch as children partake of the nature of their parents, and Satan is totally depraved, it is very certain that all infants and children are totally depraved being born of their father, the Devil." (Ibid p. 260)

Jesus called the clergy the sons of the devil because THEY SPEAK ON THEIR OWN. Augustine spoke on his own because there is NO example other than Cain and his MUSICAL TRAFFICKERS who are the OFFSPRING of the Devil. If you are not PREDESTINATED then Walt calls you SATANIC and his fellow travellers have no trouble joinging him in the false accusation.

"All men are conceived in sin and born the CHILDREN OF WRATH, indisposed to all saving good, propense to evil, dead in sin, and the slaves of sin; without the regenerating grace of the Holy Spirit they neither are willing nor able to return to God to correct their depraved nature, or to dispose themselves to the correction of it." (Scott's Synod of Dort, Pages 125, 126)

Of course, John Calvin called INSANE those who thinks that the "spirit" speaks independant of the Words which ARE Spirit and Life (John 6:63). Calvin taught that the word carried SPIRIT with it:

First, let us note that the word WRATH does not mean THE DEVIL. A CHILD of wrath is produced BY WRATH. Note the translations:

in the lusts of our flesh,

People EXERCISED their human nature and as a result were the OBJECTS of wrath. A person who gets drunk is by that NATUAL PRODUCTION going to suffer the WRATH of a hangover and a destroyed life. God didn't force the person to get drunk.

We NEVER lose this NATURAL urge to satisfy the carnal senses. However, Calvin defines this NATURE and does not make one a SINNER until they exercise that human nature. Paul told us to RECKON ourselves dead unto sin: he did not say that baptism ERASES our human nature. That is what Calvin says: "Baptism does not SAVE us from being human."

John Calvin wrote and simple simons miss his point. He fully explained baptism and said that baptism DOES NOT remove our human nature or propensity to sin. It is obvious that we get out HUMAN NATURE from Adam who HAD the power within himself to disobey God. However, sin did not ENTER Adam but entered into the WORLD. Adam's nature was not changed: only his exercise of that nature.

10. It is now clear,

how false the doctrine is which some long ago taught, and others still persist in,

that by baptism we are exempted and set free from ORIGINAL sin, and from the corruption which was propagated by Adam to all his posterity, and that we are restored to the same righteousness and purity of nature which Adam would have had if he had maintained the integrity in which he was created.

This class of teachers never understand what is meant by original sin, original righteousness, or the GRACE of baptism. Now, it has been previously shown (Book 2: chap. 1: sec. 8,)

that original sin is the depravity and corruption of our NATURE,

which first makes us LIABLE to the wrath of God,

and THEN produces in us works which Scripture terms the works of the flesh, (Gal. 5: 19.)

No one doubts that our human NATURE seeks to do whatever brings PLEASURE to us. That is why Paul OUTLAWED pleasuring in the assembly and so did John Calvin. However, it is easy to miss Calvin as did the later synods.

11. Another point is, that this corruption never ceases in us, but constantly produces new fruits, viz., those works of the flesh which we previously described, just as a burning furnace perpetually sends forth flame and sparks, or a fountain is ever pouring out water. For concupiscence never wholly dies or is extinguished in men, until, freed by death from the body of death, they have altogether laid aside their own nature, (Book 3: chap. 3: sec. 10-13.)

Baptism, indeed, tells us that our Pharaoh is drowned and sin mortified;

not so, however, as no longer to exist, or give no trouble, but only so as not to have dominion.


For as long as we live shut up in this prison of the body, the remains of sin dwell in us,

but if we faithfully hold the promise which God has given us in baptism, they will neither rule nor reign.


But let no man deceive himself, let no man look complacently on his disease, when he hears that sin always dwells in us. When we say so, it is not in order that those who are otherwise too prone to sin may sleep securely in their sins,


but only that those who are tried and stung by the flesh may not faint and despond.


Let them rather reflect that they are still on the way, and think that they have made great progress when they feel that their concupiscence is somewhat diminished from day to day, until they shall have reached the point at which they aim, viz., the final death of the flesh; a death which shall be completed at the termination of this mortal life.

Meanwhile, let them cease not to contend strenuously, and animate themselves to further progress, and press on to complete victory. Their efforts should be stimulated by the consideration, that after a lengthened struggle much still remains to be done.

We ought to hold that we are baptised for the mortification of our flesh,

which is begun in baptism, is prosecuted every day, and will be finished when we depart from this life to go to the Lord.


12. Here we say nothing more than the apostle Paul expounds most clearly in the sixth and seventh chapters of the Epistle to the Romans. He had discoursed of free justification,

because their acceptance with God was not procured by the merit of works,

he adds, that all who are clothed with the righteousness of Christ are at the same time regenerated by the Spirit,

and that we have an earnest of this regeneration in baptism.

Of course, we are CLOTHED with Christ and regenerated only at the time and place of baptism.

Calvin says BAPTISM DOES NOT SAVE US FROM ORIGINAL SIN or make us CEASE to have a HUMAN SPIRIT which naturally opposes the WORD of God as the source of SPIRIT and LIFE. That refutes the CATHOLIC dogma but does not refute the Biblical and historical understanding of Baptism. Indeed, Jesus treats baptism as for MAKING DISCIPLES and students of God through the Word and does not treat it as MAKING us into SUPER HUMAN beings.

The church knows so little about giving, yet the Bible exhorts us to give to God. it is pathetic to see people preparing for ministry who don't know how to give. That is like an athlete entering a race, yet he doesn't know how to run. If we haven't learned to give money, we haven't learned anything... "

Piney's words about Peck are false, In fact, I believe Piney's diatribes to be of Satan. He loves to assassinate character of others, and to attribute sexual motives to any kind of music. Its sad. Really sad.
