As liberals maneuver to gain control of the Church of Christ, they use multiple tactics to silence those who stand in their way. One commonly used tactic is to charge the conservative with serious spiritual crimes for resisting their agenda.

  • If you object to their progressives ideas, "You are a legalist!" That charge is the religious equivalent of calling a person, a homophobe, a nativist, a sexist pig or a racist. It is the use of a pejorative with the intention of silencing their critic. We concede that legalists will oppose the change agenda, but so will every faithful child of God.

  • If you resist their efforts to change the church according to their new paradigm, You are divisive! You will divide the church! We know and agree that those who cause division sin and will answer to God for their destructive conduct (Rom 16:17-18). The question is, who bears the responsibility for dividing the church? Is it those who hold to the faith of their fathers, which is as old as Christianity itself, or is it those interlopers who in the last forty years have pursued a campaign to change our faith and worship? It is those who enter peaceful congregation and wreak havoc with their human innovations? Be not deceived, the change agents divide the church and then, to deflect attention from themselves, they point the finger at faithful saints and cry "Church wreckers!"

  • When congregational leaders refuse to embrace their change program for the youth of the church, the promoters try to intimidate them by charging, "You are driving the youth away from the church!" The first order of business for the change agent is to indoctrinate impressionable young folks of the church. They undermine the faith and trust of the young people in their elders. They incite them to demand the leeks, garlics and flesh pots of denominationalism. When faithful preachers, elders and parents refuse to accede to their demands, the change agents encourage the disillusioned young folks to go where they can have that which they have been taught to want. This deception is further seen when we are reminded that change agents no longer believe the Church of Christ to be truly Christ's church. To them we are but a poor quality denomination. They further believe that denominationalism is not an evil thing, that each separate religious body is pleasing to God, a part of his universal church. So if the young folks can't have their drums and guitars, if their ladies cannot lead the church, per the change agents, if they leave and go to the Baptists or Pentecostals,, they have just moved to another room in the Father's grand house.

  • If your approach to Bible study is not scholarly, they will talk down to you as one incompetent to understand these profound things. In their world, a man with a doctorate from a great secular school trumps the believer who knows, believes and cites God's word on any and every matter. With great swelling words and much puffery and posturing, they seek to silence those not of their academic caste. Be reminded that our back to the Bible movement was not launched and spread by men with auspicious credentials from Ivy League Universities. Ninety-nine percent of our churches were planted and nurtured by godly men with ordinary education. Even the schools now controlled by change agents were founded and built up by men whose education was from second tier colleges and universities. Our successful missionaries have been faithful servants, most of whose education was in schools founded and staffed by our own brethren.

When you encounter these arrogant accusers, ask them how many churches they have planted? How many souls have they saved? How many times have they publicly defended the cause of Christ in the face of her enemies?

Evil men think they can win by intimidation. With Christ as our captain (Heb.2:10), with the strength the Holy Spirit provides (Eph. 3:16), with the sword of the Spirit, we can and will be more than conquerors through him that loves us (Rom. 8:37). David was not intimidated by the Philistine giant and his insults. We will not be intimidated nor silenced by his modern counterpart!

...........................THE BOOK

What Happened at the Madison Church of Christ?

There are thousands of churches being taken over across America.

This book is only about one of those churches. It's about the Madison Church Of Christ. By studying the methods used here along with the resource references you might be able to inoculate your church. At the very least you will recognize the signs early on.

Many of the current members of the Madison Church of Christ still don't know what happened.
Some never will know! This book is for them as well.

Madison Church of Christ was a 60 year old church. At one time it was one of the largest churches in the US, and the largest Church of Christ.

It thrived for many years on the vision of it's elders and those of it's ministers. Those visions undoubtably came from the the inspired word of Jesus Christ.

At sometime in the last 10 years there was a deliberate plan by a majority of the elders to take the Madison Church of Christ into a more worldly realm.

They used secrecy, covert planning, and outside sources to scheme and to change the format and direction of the Madison Church of Christ.

The Elders knew that the membership would never approve such a plan. Using the tools of the "Community Church Movement"(consultants, books, seminars, meetings,planters,seeders) they slowly started initiating change so it was never noticed by the members until it was too late.....

At the heart of the plan was the fact that old members were going to be driven off so new techniques could be used to go out and reach the unchurched through new "Contemporary Holy Entertainment" methods developed by the "Community Church Movement"

Old members had to be kept on board long enough to get their plans ready, or the funds would not be there to pay for the new building. So by the plans very nature, it had to be secret.

The church had no plan in effect to renew or approve elders. There was never any need. The elders had always been "as approved by God". 10 of the last 15 elders would begin to shed some doubt on that.

The Elders did not even need a majority at first, because some of the elders went along unwittingly.

This edition starts shortly after some of the members begin to smell something strange in January 2001. Later editions may go back and fill in some of the timeline.

To even start to understand whats happening here, you must read the background materials in the first of the book.

This is only the first edition, and not the end. New editions will be printed as needed. To keep abreast of current changes, please visit our web site;

Here is the list of players;

5 Godly Elders
10 Not so Godly Elders
120 "Deacons" (allegiance unknown)
2,800 - 4,000 church "members"
2 "teners" (people who have publicly confessed to have broken all ten commandments)
Unknown number of "sinners" (This is what the 10 elders call us.)
