Just For The Record

I do not smoke cigars. I do not drink champagne. I do not comment on any part of Dr. Crump's anatomy.

Another "Den of Vipers" Thread This Has Become?

January 19 2011, 1:24 AM

So, how do we all feel now? Is there a difference between being childish and being childlike? OK, use the online dictionary.

It appears that, given our current batch of posters, just about any thread will eventually become a "Den of Vipers."

Sonny is too good of a man and student of Scripture for Mr. Crump and this site. Fred on the other hand has a clear calling from God and must remain faithful to holding Mr. Crump accountable. happy.gif

Question for unbiased moderator --Why is "smart-a$$" acceptable from Mr. Crump? Why was this message not "edited" or --denied-- altogether? Let me guess - It is because he used dollar signs instead of two "s's". Straining gnats and swallowing camels. Toxicity. Unchristian language permitted but grammatical errors are impermissible. Hypocrisy.

Fred Whaley

The Sonny Ghost may be beginning his new work of (w)reaking havoc on the concerned members consciences. happy.gif

Good One Fred

January 19 2011, 8:07 PM

It will not do any good Fred. W. Crump has a line and comeback for everything. This kind of person has lived this way all of his life....he believes he does no wrong. Hypocrisy, you say, Fred?
It is beyond that. Fred, it is their site. They can do what they want, and they will. William Crump's smut talk proves it.

Fred's observation:

Fred, your quoted "smart-a$$" is acceptable also.

Dave, would you prefer to use "ass" or "donkey"? There are numerous references to either expression in the Bible. How smart [ happy.gif ] is the ass or donkey described in Matt. 21:2,5? Also, let's compare two versions of the Bible:
KJV: "... Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me.... Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass."

NIV: "... saying to them, Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to me.... Say to the Daughter of Zion, See, your king comes to you, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey."
Can you imagine the "Scripture Reading" of the above passage? I wonder if the thought of "smart ass" comes to the mind of reader who is only human? happy.gif Hmmm!!!

Re: Good One Fred

January 20 2011, 7:53 AM

Since Fred complained about using exaggerated spellings of "ass," perhaps he conveniently forgot about his little take on Elmer Fudd above: "Be vewy vewy caweful my fwiend Roncar. Mr. Grump, the gwammar az (don't want to go to Anger Emission Control...)."

In Fred's original post, "az" was underlined. Fred was actually saying, "Mr. Grump, the grammar ass..." and used Elmer Fudd's idiotic speech pattern in an attempt to disguise "ass."

So Fred now has the rotten egg of hypocrisy running down his face. happy.gif

If this site persistently tolerates Fred's un-Christian epithets such as "chump," "panzy" [sic], and "spiritual vomit," then this site should likewise tolerate "smart-a$$" from Dr. Crump. As my former employer used to say, "Garbage in, garbage out."

What William Crump WIll Say

In reply to his clearly offensive and vulgar language I can hear William Crump say..."I clearly needed THOSE precise words to make my point. No other words could or would suffice.?

Oh yeah.

Which one is easier to teach and train?

(a) a smart ass or ...
(b) a dumb ass?

Just wondering.

Well, we could look at it this way: A person who teaches proper grammar on message boards is likely to be called a smart ass, whereas a person who deliberately refuses to learn proper grammar is best described as a dumb ass. happy.gif

Thread: The Liberal Mind and Method

Message: "Choices Choices"

Error: "The choice again.....[sic] is to be [sic] believe what Ken says, or what the Bible says to be true."

Try this: "Choose which source presents the truth: Ken or the Bible." It's more compact and to the point. happy.gif

Re: Lock This Thread......Throw Away The Key!

January 21 2011, 10:04 AM

This thread was created to teach proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Now Roncar wants it to be closed. The atmosphere here is similar to that in some classrooms in public schools. There, the undisciplined students mock and revile the teachers, who do their best to teach the lessons, yet chaos reigns. Those students who cause the most trouble should be expelled permanently in order to restore the proper atmosphere of learning.

In this "classroom" at CM, Dr. Crump has served as the English teacher. The two undisciplined "students" who have caused the most trouble in this thread have been Dave and Fred. Locking this thread would be like closing a public school because it couldn't control a few unruly students. The solution should be to expel those troublemakers in order to restore the proper atmosphere of learning. happy.gif

Thread: How Easy It Is to Blaspheme

Message: "Re: How Easy It Is to Blaspheme"

Errors:

1. "So it is ok to sing with musicals [sic] instruments, in private, or play in private, or a combination of the two, in private or at home, but you can't do it in a worship setting."

Shorter, edited version: "So it is ok to sing and/or play with musical instruments in private or at home, but you can't do it in a worship setting."

2. "See, even they [sic] opponents of instrumental music don't know what they really want."

The correct word is "the," not "they."

3. "If instrumental [sic] is sinful, then it would be sinful to sing and play in private or at home, just as it would be to curse in private or at home."

I believe that "music" was omitted. The sentence should read, "If instrumental music is sinful..."

This sentence also stood out: "William Crump, it would do you well to find some grammatical errors here." The poster correctly used the term "grammatical errors." The poster previously kicked and screamed that "grammar error" was correct. It is heartwarming [one word, not two] to see that the poster is finally learning proper grammar. happy.gif

What Do You Expect From a Bunch of Degenerates?

January 20 2011, 9:04 AM

Donnie,
When you can explain away that kind of vulgar language with Scripture, you are beyond sick. It shows anyone and everyone that you will go to any length to promote what is wrong.
Hey Donnie, do smart??? and jackass have anything in common? You knew not.
Like the saying goes, if ten million people decide to jump off a cliff, will you do the same just because everyone else is doing it? You just proved that people still do wrong only because others are doing it.
Donnie, would you use that word in a sermon, or in front of your family (parents, children, wife)?
Didn't think so.
You wouldn't because you KNOW it is vulgar and offensive.
Hey Donnie, maybe you actually do use that kind of language.
That would explain a lot of why concernedmembers is so offensive and evil.

Dictionary.com
smart ???
nounSlang: Sometimes Vulgar.
a wise guy; know-it-all.

Sometimes vulgar, the dictionary says.....
ALWAYS vulgar.

I don't know why I should have thought that you would have behaved any differently Donnie.
This site is beyond evil.

Re: What Do You Expect From a Bunch of Degenerates?

Dave quoted the dictionary, which states that "smart ass" is "sometimes vulgar"; not always, but sometimes. Dave conveniently decides, however, that the word is ALWAYS vulgar so he can smear someone with whom he always disagrees. In order to change the definition to "always vulgar," Dave's mind evidently lies in the gutter.

Always More Questions

Hey Donnie,
If the vulgar word is ok and commonly used, as you assume, why would William Crump hide the second part of the word with $$ signs?

Gutter Mind

January 20 2011, 7:46 PM

"Smart-a$$" included the double "$" to thwart folks like Dave who pretend to be overly sensitive and put on a hysterical show of "righteous indignation." That is, some folks like Dave see a word like "ass" and automatically associate it with vulgarity and filth. Such a mind lies in the gutter.

...........................THE BOOK

What Happened at the Madison Church of Christ?

There are thousands of churches being taken over across America.

This book is only about one of those churches. It's about the Madison Church Of Christ. By studying the methods used here along with the resource references you might be able to inoculate your church. At the very least you will recognize the signs early on.

Many of the current members of the Madison Church of Christ still don't know what happened.
Some never will know! This book is for them as well.

Madison Church of Christ was a 60 year old church. At one time it was one of the largest churches in the US, and the largest Church of Christ.

It thrived for many years on the vision of it's elders and those of it's ministers. Those visions undoubtably came from the the inspired word of Jesus Christ.

At sometime in the last 10 years there was a deliberate plan by a majority of the elders to take the Madison Church of Christ into a more worldly realm.

They used secrecy, covert planning, and outside sources to scheme and to change the format and direction of the Madison Church of Christ.

The Elders knew that the membership would never approve such a plan. Using the tools of the "Community Church Movement"(consultants, books, seminars, meetings, planters, seeders) they slowly started initiating change so it was never noticed by the members until it was too late.....

At the heart of the plan was the fact that old members were going to be driven off so new techniques could be used to go out and reach the unchurched through new "Contemporary Holy Entertainment" methods developed by the "Community Church Movement"

Old members had to be kept on board long enough to get their plans ready, or the funds would not be there to pay for the new building. So by the plans very nature, it had to be secret.

The church had no plan in effect to renew or approve elders. There was never any need. The elders had always been "as approved by God". 10 of the last 15 elders would begin to shed some doubt on that.

The Elders did not even need a majority at first, because some of the elders went along unwittingly.

This edition starts shortly after some of the members begin to smell something strange in January 2001. Later editions may go back and fill in some of the timeline.

To even start to understand whats happening here, you must read the background materials in the first of the book.

This is only the first edition, and not the end. New editions will be printed as needed. To keep abreast of current changes, please visit our web site; http://www.concernedmembers.com/madison

Here is the list of players;

5 Godly Elders
10 Not so Godly Elders
120 "Deacons" (allegiance unknown)
2,800 - 4,000 church "members"
2 "teners" (people who have publicly confessed to have broken all ten commandments)
Unknown number of "sinners" (This is what the 10 elders call us.)
Unknown number of "demons" (Flying everywhere, to many to count)
