Re: Like You Said....WOW!!!

December 20 2010, 11:55 AM

Many people are "sincere" in their worship, but they are sincerely wrong.

Devout Roman Catholics, Buddhists, Shintoists, Muslims, Jehovah's Witnesses, and people from a host of other denominations and faiths are "sincere" in their beliefs, but they are sincerely WRONG. They are wrong because they do not faithfully follow Christ's teachings in the New Testament.

Just because people are "sincere" does not make their worship acceptable.

Although Hilter was "sincere" about his actions, did his sincerity make his actions acceptable?

Neither, Nor

December 20 2010, 12:19 PM

I'm surprised Dave would solicit my "help," since he doesn't believe me when I tell him that "well-worded" is a legitimate word, that it is not imaginary. BTW, every word in the English language has been "made up"; man devises all words to facilitate communication.

Now to business. When two singular subjects are connected by "nor" and preceded by "neither," use a singular verb. Thus, Dave's sentence of, "Neither the playing nor the PA are authorized" should read, "Neither the playing nor the PA is authorized."

Re: 4 Part Harmony

December 20 2010, 2:11 PM

Dr. Crump, perhaps skilled singers mimicking instruments of music are also allowed as part of the harmony? Dust off the organ, you are almost there.

Livng Proof Right Here Folks

December 20 2010, 4:06 PM

NOW if there ever was a show of a twisted mind William Crump.....you just exhibited it. How can you analyze sincerity from religion to that of Hitler? The only religion Hitler knew was himself.
Get some rest for the holiday season William. You need it!

Re: This is Good!

December 20 2010, 5:44 PM

Nothing is more traditional than a paid preacher. Could we not get return to living by faith and have the men of God lead us, not just the next guy on the payroll? Is buying nice musical instruments for the hungry and those in need of the love of God, an idea of the new tradition that we need to embrace in your opinion? Do you view any act that Jesus made, a start to a new way of living or were they just the the beginning of traditions that you choose to mock? What is it with this new uncaring and unloving church of Christ? And dave considers it good!

Sincerity Not Limited

December 20 2010, 8:33 PM

Sincerity is not limited to religion or to any one thing in particular. Just as denominationalists are "sincere" in their faith (though they are sincerely wrong), so was Hitler "sincere" in his belief in the occult (though he also was sincerely wrong).

Dave would be more credible if he ever learned to exclude extraneous, derogatory expressions such as "twisted mind" and "You are immature" from his posts. A person like Dave evidently feels insecure in his faith, because he perpetually smears those with whom he disagrees to bolster his self-esteem and ego.

Who Be Insecure?

December 21 2010, 12:00 AM

Is it as bad as your slanderous reviling insult of telling someone they are full of H.A.A.H. (hot air and halitosis)?
If nothing else, it certainly defines you as the perfect hypocrite.
William Crump, you don't even have to choose.....you can claim both hypocrite and insecure as describing adjectives.

Advice for Dave

December 21 2010, 11:27 AM

Dave, your frequent reference to "HAAH" indicates that you have chosen to let such a bit of comedy get under your skin. You also have chosen to milk everything you can from it by playing the exaggerated role of the "suffering martyr" (while smearing everyone who disagrees with you). You are more mature than that, are you not?

Should you continue in this fashion, Dave, you will allow "HAAH" to ruin your Christmas holiday. You don't want that, I'm sure.

So, here's a bit of advice: Simply get over it and enjoy life for a change. happy.gif

Ha!

Milk it William?

Who me???

Isn't this the EPITOME of it all, William?

Dave Needs to Find Closure

December 21 2010, 6:18 PM

Dave now spends most of his days wringing his hands over HAAH and smearing those with whom he disagrees. That means Dave is in a rut, which is not a healthy lifestyle. Dave desperately needs to find closure. Perhaps if he talked with a therapist...

You're The Best!

December 21 2010, 9:05 PM

William,
If, as they say, laughter is the best medicine, then there is not a therapist around that could do better than you for me. You keep me smiling.
They ALSO say that there is always someone worse off than you.
Remember here William that we aren't talking about material wealth.
With that being said....you are my cushion there. I simply don't believe that I could do worse than you.

William Crump Admits to Slandering

January 9 2011, 2:41 PM

I had said before in an earlier post "Is my breath really that bad? Come smell my breath again William and tell me!"

Regarding that post William Crump said and has finally admitted to his slandering others by saying "Regarding HAAH, I gather that Dave is unable to recognize a metaphor when he sees one."

When William Crump made the assertion that someone is full of H.A.A.H (hot air and halitosis) and deem it to be only a metaphor (since he never has smelled my breath), then the metaphor is a slander. It can be taken no other way.

William, even a criminal is smart enough to keep his mouth shut sometimes to keep from self-incrimination.

Look close here for grammatical errors William.
Man, you certainly need something.....anything here.
Don't give up William. Don't you dare give up. Think hard! Think real hard!!! You didn't get that hard-hearted and rotten by rolling over to someone who merely proved that you are just a plain ole hypocrite and liar. Facts, proof and truth never stopped you before. Think hard man!!!
Come on!!!

Regarding HAAH, I gather that Dave is unable to recognize a metaphor when he sees one. As I said before, Dave really needs to broaden his literary horizons. I'm trying to help him, but, like an undisciplined child, Dave continues to kick and scream in protest. happy.gif

Hold Your Water

January 9 2011, 9:36 PM

The only person who should be embarrassd is Dave, who can't recognize a simple metaphor when he sees one. He should be even more embarrassed because he takes himself much too seriously, allows others to get under his skin, and manifests emotional upheavals (tantrums) as a result. happy.gif

BTW, Dave has no room to squawk about "slander," when he persistently uses the term "narcissist" against someone who does not agree with him.

...........................THE BOOK

What Happened at the Madison Church of Christ?

There are thousands of churches being taken over across America.

This book is only about one of those churches. It's about the Madison Church Of Christ. By studying the methods used here along with the resource references you might be able to inoculate your church. At the very least you will recognize the signs early on.

Many of the current members of the Madison Church of Christ still don't know what happened.
Some never will know! This book is for them as well.

Madison Church of Christ was a 60 year old church. At one time it was one of the largest churches in the US, and the largest Church of Christ.

It thrived for many years on the vision of it's elders and those of it's ministers. Those visions undoubtably came from the the inspired word of Jesus Christ.

At sometime in the last 10 years there was a deliberate plan by a majority of the elders to take the Madison Church of Christ into a more worldly realm.

They used secrecy, covert planning, and outside sources to scheme and to change the format and direction of the Madison Church of Christ.

The Elders knew that the membership would never approve such a plan. Using the tools of the "Community Church Movement"(consultants, books, seminars, meetings, planters, seeders) they slowly started initiating change so it was never noticed by the members until it was too late.....

At the heart of the plan was the fact that old members were going to be driven off so new techniques could be used to go out and reach the unchurched through new "Contemporary Holy Entertainment" methods developed by the "Community Church Movement"

Old members had to be kept on board long enough to get their plans ready, or the funds would not be there to pay for the new building. So by the plans very nature, it had to be secret.

The church had no plan in effect to renew or approve elders. There was never any need. The elders had always been "as approved by God". 10 of the last 15 elders would begin to shed some doubt on that.

The Elders did not even need a majority at first, because some of the elders went along unwittingly.

This edition starts shortly after some of the members begin to smell something strange in January 2001. Later editions may go back and fill in some of the timeline.

To even start to understand whats happening here, you must read the background materials in the first of the book.

This is only the first edition, and not the end. New editions will be printed as needed. To keep abreast of current changes, please visit our web site; http://www.concernedmembers.com/madison

Here is the list of players;

5 Godly Elders
10 Not so Godly Elders
120 "Deacons" (allegiance unknown)
2,800 - 4,000 church "members"
2 "teners" (people who have publicly confessed to have broken all ten commandments)
Unknown number of "sinners" (This is what the 10 elders call us.)
Unknown number of "demons" (Flying everywhere, to many to count)
