MAKING THE MAJORITY THE MINORITY FACTION

JOHN WADDEY

In the contest between political parties the smaller or minority party will use every available means to persuade the public that they (the minority) represent them and their best interests. They work to convince the people that the opposition, though much larger in number, actually represent only a few citizens. While only 20 percent of Americans identify themselves as liberal in their social, economic and political views, liberal politicians and their media friends act as though they are the reigning majority. Proponents of global warming have used this same tactic. They act as though the contest is over, that they have won the battle.

Today, we see this same tactic being used in the church. Those who fancy themselves leaders of the movement to capture and redesign the Churches of Christ regularly use it. They want to convince the average member of the church that they (the change agents) are, in reality, the majority of our brethren, the mainstream of the church. They want to create the impression that they are the wave of the future. Those brethren who prefer to continue worshiping and serving God as they and their predecessors have done for generations past, are painted as out-of-touch, cranky, insignificant minority. Of course this is definitely not the case. The progressives act as though they have already won the battle, that the overwhelming majority of our people are ready, even eager to adopt their package of innovations. They pretend that conservative congregations, content to walk by the old paths, do not exist. They assume that by ignoring them they will vanish.

The fact is, the progressives, the change agents are still a minority among us. Yes, they have captured a number of our largest congregations, but certainly not the majority of the 9,500 congregations who constitute the mainstream of our brotherhood! At the present, (Spring of 2012), it is doubtful if the congregations openly embracing the change agenda are more than 350 in number. They do control three of our universities and one small college. But schools are not churches.

They do get a lot of publicity from the Christian Chronicle and secular newspapers. That does not mean they are listed in the Lamb's Book of Life (Phil. 4:3).

What the future holds no one knows nor can predict. When change agents prevail, their congregations will cease to be Churches of Christ, having become in fact, an imitation of the Christian Church/Disciples of Christ who pursued this same course a 125 years ago. We can be sure that Christ is greater than the father of lies (Matt. 28:18; John 8:44). The Lord's church is greater than the kingdom of darkness (Dan. 2:44; Col. 1:13). The truth of God's Word is stronger than the doctrines, commandments and opinions of men (Rom. 1:16). Solomon rightly understood that "the race is not to the swift nor the battle to the strong" (Eccle. 9:11). Through Christ we will be more than conquerors over these and every enemy (Rom. 8:37).

In the meantime, our challenge is to awaken our brethren to the danger of the change agents (Acts 20:28-31), to inform them of the errors being promoted and stir them to action in defense of the gospel and the kingdom of Christ (Phil. 1:16).

Weeds in a garden must be plucked up else they will swallow the whole and choke out the flowers or vegetables you have planted. The best time to pull weeds is while they are young, few in number and before they drop their seed. Brethren should heed and learn this lesson.

Waddey said that the change agents control three church of Christ universities and one small college. I would think that Lipscomb and ACU are two of those universities. Is Pepperdine the third? What is the small college?

Blame the NACC

September 12 2012, 1:57 PM

The NACC no more represents Christian Churches than this merry band of men represents Churchs of Christ. They need to repudiate this denominational structure born in the first battle to FORCE churches of Christ to use instruments (machines for doing hard work including sorcery).

At the margins including a way to honestly read the Word of God they have done grave and wide spread damage. However, in the SECTING issue of Instruments the have had so little success that they should do the Judas Maneuver. Unfortunately, they continue to feed the Blog-Simps who do not have a spirit enabling them to read BLACK text on BROWN

HERESY or SECTARIANISM has always been a METHOD of God: out of several millions of Israel only about 50,000 came home. The remnant of those who had not bowed to Baal (that music act) Still Alive in Jerusalem was 120 baptized in water as opposed to the VIPER race baptized with WIND and FIRE.

"B", John Waddey is a graduate of Southern Christian University. I think the school changed it's name and may have changed course as well. BTW, I see nothing in the posted article that you write about.

Re: "Making the Majority the Minority Faction" (by John Waddey)

September 12 2012, 5:15 PM

Waddey's article is about the change agents that have invaded the brotherhood of the church of Christ. Of those change agents, Waddey writes:

"The fact is, the progressives, the change agents are still a minority among us. But schools are not churches."

In that paragraph, Waddey focuses on church of Christ congregations and institutions of higher learning sponsored by the church of Christ. Denominational congregations and schools are not within the brotherhood. Waddey mentions that the majority of the 9,500 congregations who constitute the mainstream of "our" (church of Christ) brotherhood have not succumbed to the change agents. Waddey states that the change agents control three of "our" (meaning church of Christ) universities and one small college. I knew that Lipscomb and ACU had fallen victims to the change agents, but I wasnt't sure about the other university. I suggested maybe Pepperdine and asked about the "one small college."

Well, that certainly settles it for me! If John Waddey said it, it MUST be true! (Just ask his family back in Tennessee!)

Re: "Making the Majority the Minority Faction" (by John Waddey)

September 12 2012, 7:14 PM

Rochester College was gasping and they called in Rubel Shelly: Rubel called in Max Lucado.

Patrick Mead preached in Rochester at the time and he has been a major promoter of instrumental music and the BlogSimps just love him as one of the PROGRESSIVES. He, consistently, does not have a clue about the message of the Bible defining the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. He and his'n picked up the UGLY as their pattern for Soothsayers with instruments commanded by God to execute any godly person who came near or into any holy thing or place. That is why the audience has been chained from the pulpit and all of the vocational roles operated by Ministers of Bad Breath.

As I said, I knew that the change agents had taken over Lipscomb and ACU, but what is the third university Waddey mentioned that had been taken over? I thought perhaps Pepperdine. Also, which "small college" had been taken over? Maybe Tom knows.

Thanks for the list Racnor. With maybe one or two exceptions, each of these have been termed "liberal" by various writers over the years.

Why don't you lay it all out for us, Tom, with appropriate references? Show us exactly how and why Waddey is scripturally in error. Don't post gossip and hearsay about family disputes or personal vendettas, if there are any. You say "many" Christians know why. Besides yourself, how "many" Christians supposedly believe Waddey is scripturally in error? Be specific. If we should "mark and avoid" Waddey for scriptural reasons, then show us why. If you can't or won't, however, then you are merely smearing Waddey for personal reasons.

Change Retardents and Upright Living

September 13 2012, 9:23 PM

John Waddey said: "When change agents prevail, their congregations will cease to be Churches of Christ, having become in fact, an imitation of the Christian Church/Disciples of Christ who pursued this same course a 125 years ago. "

I could word Tom Brite's statement in another way: Regardless of whether change agents prevail or not, both change agents as well as change retardents both agree that the New Testament church cannot be restored until brothers and sisters, as well especially preachers, are moral and upright in their conduct.

All would also agree, I believe, that as much as one changes his or her thoughts as well as behavior (repents), then that person should be accepted back into the fold dependent on that change of behavior.

The issue of upright living comes before any consideration of whether someone is a "change agent."

Re: Change Retardents and Upright Living

September 13 2012, 9:36 PM

True: I would worry a lot more about all of the "change agents" who have to lie to God and About God to tell people that "a" spirit told him to preach that sermon that God Commanded Instrumental Praise and We MUST NOT be disobedient.

Saying that God said something is blaspheming the Holy Spirit.

Since the Spirit of Christ (the only one) warned in Jeremiah.

Jer 23:16 Thus saith the Lord of hosts,
.....Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you;
.....they make you vain:
.....they speak a vision of their own heart,
.....and not out of the mouth of the Lord.

Prphta and prphtes , ae, m., = prophts, I. a foreteller, soothsayer,

Jer 23:17 They say still unto them that despise me,
.....The Lord hath said, Ye shall have peace;
.....and they say unto every one that walketh
.....after the imagination of his own heart,
.....No evil shall come upon you.

Despise tthe Word of God of God and using your own words is:

Blasphm-e , pf.
A. beblasphmka D.18.10:speak profanely of sacred things, eis theous Pl.R.381e; offer rash prayers, Id.Alc.2.149c; b. kata tinosutter imprecations against, Aeschin.1.180.

I believe that charge can be made against anyone who claimed that they had a vision or heard a voice or has the holy spirit tell them to IMPOSE instruments knowing they they were sowing discord.

So, we know that blasphemy cannot be forgiven especially since the "agents" are usually doing it to get out of bad debt.

Imagination in the Heart

September 13 2012, 9:58 PM

"Imagination" does carry much more "scriptural erosion" than "implantation in the heart."

Imagination would be a emanation from wild personal desires, and that in itself just sounds bad.

Implantation refers more to the seed of the kingdom, which when planted, promises to bring much fruit for the kingdom.

I would distinguish between scriptural change through amending teaching to confront (not to compromise with) a changing culture.

A change agent, on the other hand, is characteristically sinister. It may seek to change to show superiority of intellect (pride), or to show license (rebellion and arrogance). It may show little respect for the past, and its adherents often have little historical horizon.

Scriptural change relates to reviving the Word of God within us, or imitate the Christ such that he lives within us. This is the sure way to save the church, for the teaching of Christ to abide within us.

...........................THE BOOK

What Happened at the Madison Church of Christ?

There are thousands of churches being taken over across America.

This book is only about one of those churches. It's about the Madison Church Of Christ. By studying the methods used here along with the resource references you might be able to inoculate your church. At the very least you will recognize the signs early on.

Many of the current members of the Madison Church of Christ still don't know what happened.
Some never will know! This book is for them as well.

Madison Church of Christ was a 60 year old church. At one time it was one of the largest churches in the US, and the largest Church of Christ.

It thrived for many years on the vision of it's elders and those of it's ministers. Those visions undoubtably came from the the inspired word of Jesus Christ.

At sometime in the last 10 years there was a deliberate plan by a majority of the elders to take the Madison Church of Christ into a more worldly realm.

They used secrecy, covert planning, and outside sources to scheme and to change the format and direction of the Madison Church of Christ.

The Elders knew that the membership would never approve such a plan. Using the tools of the "Community Church Movement"(consultants, books, seminars, meetings, planters, seeders) they slowly started initiating change so it was never noticed by the members until it was too late.....

At the heart of the plan was the fact that old members were going to be driven off so new techniques could be used to go out and reach the unchurched through new "Contemporary Holy Entertainment" methods developed by the "Community Church Movement"

Old members had to be kept on board long enough to get their plans ready, or the funds would not be there to pay for the new building. So by the plans very nature, it had to be secret.

The church had no plan in effect to renew or approve elders. There was never any need. The elders had always been "as approved by God". 10 of the last 15 elders would begin to shed some doubt on that.

The Elders did not even need a majority at first, because some of the elders went along unwittingly.

This edition starts shortly after some of the members begin to smell something strange in January 2001. Later editions may go back and fill in some of the timeline.

To even start to understand whats happening here, you must read the background materials in the first of the book.

This is only the first edition, and not the end. New editions will be printed as needed. To keep abreast of current changes, please visit our web site; http://www.concernedmembers.com/madison

Here is the list of players;

5 Godly Elders
10 Not so Godly Elders
120 "Deacons" (allegiance unknown)
2,800 - 4,000 church "members"
2 "teners" (people who have publicly confessed to have broken all ten commandments)
Unknown number of "sinners" (This is what the 10 elders call us.)
Unknown number of "demons" (Flying everywhere, to many to count)
