Rick Atchley Hearing From God

http://www.piney.com/Rick.Atchley.Hearing.From.God.html

Rick Atchley always with a dazzling outfit and motor motioned is the favorite son of the ACU, Pepperdine, Tulsa Worshop, the NACC and a wandering preacher from a church near you affirms his claimed but denied that the Holy Spirit told Him that he had to preach that sermon repudiating the anti-instrumentalists who fed his face and affirming that God approves of instruments. Guided by David Faust and the NACC who flattered, Rick claimed

Rich Atchley, the preacher of the Richland Hills Church of Christ in Dallas, Texas, made this completely unscriptural claim:
"Right there at that spot about 1994 the Holy Spirit said to me in the middle of a sermon,
'that's what you and all preachers like you are doing,
who haven't for years believed that the worship of God with instruments was wrong.
But you continue by your silence to let people think it's wrong.
But you allow the people to be disrupted, and you do so under the plea,
'Well, we're just maintaining peace.' But that's not peace; that's cowardice.
I knew then the day would come I'd have to teach this lesson."

He now claims even more ability to HEAR THE HOLY SPIRIT which is required because the olden Bible needs further corrections by those Rick claims to be PROPHETS.

If you say that God commanded instrumental music in His School.
And God repudiated it from Genesis to Revelation.
Then Christ in Jeremiah 27 defines you as BLASPHEMING the Holy Spirit OF Christ.

Nothing Christian is for sale: nothing that is Christian is for sale.

I listened to Rick's FREE both/and sermons: however, now if you go to The Hills church you can now PAY to listen to them.

These have been the FOUNDATION on which others have added their both/and instrumental services..

Atchley claims that people took him out of context.

Here are notes from the 2013 lectures which I have begun to review.

This link connects you to the lectures--if you have a strong stomach.

Here is the Alan Highers (Attorney) response after listening to the tapes.

Well, Ken, YOU have to like the fact that Rick said, "Nowhere in the New Testament is congregational singing specifically authorized." (seek the oldpaths link) Maybe you do like him just a little bit and did pay that dollar to hear his sermons? happy.gif

For what it's worth, Rick says he was misquoted and taken of context on the Holy Spirit event. I really like some of his teaching. Check out Rick's baptism class. It's Free!

Re: Rick Atchley Hearing from God by the Holy Spirit

Of course you would like it but HE still can't or had no need to READ the WRITING.

Conclusion: Acts 16:29-34 - Baptism is not about you doing something, it's about
you __________________ and ______________________ by faith what Christ did.

Jesus was not acknowledged as a SON until AFTER He had obeyed and been BAPTIZED. Jesus said that He had a NEED to be baptized. He was baptized to fulfill all righteousness: that means to fully preach baptism and fill it with His own righteousness.

Acts 16:29 Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,
Acts 16:30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Before the jailer could BELIEVE he had to hear the gospel: Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. Rick Atchley would just have him BELIEVE. Here is what Jesus had Paul told which was identical to the Great Commission: baptism IN ORDER to the remission of sins. Faith is not obediende.

.....Acts 22:15 For thou shalt be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard.
.....Acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou?
.........ARISE, and be baptized,
.........and WASH away thy sins,
.........CALLING on the name of the Lord.

Romans 2:8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, , indignation and wrath,

The Lord never said 'just believe.' He said Repent and BE baptized FOR or IN ORDER to the remission of sins. If Rick Atchley is right then Jesus must have been lying.

Now, notice the active verbs BEFORE the jailer could be classified as a BELIEVER.

Acts 16:32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.

Acts 16:33 And he [jailer]
.....TOOK them the same hour of the night,
.....and WASHED their stripes;
.....and WAS baptized, he and all his, straightway.

Only AFTER he has repented of his actions and WAS baptized could it be said that:

Acts 16:34 And when he had
.....brought them into his house,
.....he set meat before them,
.....and rejoiced,
.....believing in God with all his house.

Remember that the eunuch had no reason to be REJOICING until after he had CONFESSED and been BAPTIZED.

Like most of the "progressives", Rick Atchley uses all of the "orthodox" words but infiltrates a FAITH ONLY dogma. He says that the construct:

Faith AND. Baptism gives Remission of Sins
Faith gives remission of sins because baptism is just faith demonstrated.

http://www.piney.com/Rick.Atchley.The.Deal.About.Baptism.html

There is, among these progressives, as one writer suggested "still having an unresolved conflict with their mother."

The AUTHORITY concept of HAVING to obey the gospel is depending on WORKS. They do not know that we are "washed with water INTO the Word" or into the School of Jesus Christ (agreed the Campbells). And you cannot be a DISCIPLE of the Master Teacher just by believing that there is a Master Teacher. The Maury Hills preacher says that he gets to vote because he is the Authoratative Teacher of the flock.

Wikipedia says: Authoritarian leaders are commonly referred to as autocratic leaders. They provide clear expectations for what needs to be done, when it should be done, and how it should be done. There is also a clear divide between the leader and the followers. [2]Authoritarian leaders make decisions independently with little or no input from the rest of the group. Authoritarian leaders uphold stringent control over their followers by directly regulating rules, methodologies, and actions. Authoritarian leaders construct gaps and build distance between themselves and their followers with the intention of stressing role distinctions. [3] Authoritarian leadership typically fosters little creativity in decision-making. Lewin also found that it is more difficult to move from an authoritarian style to a democratic style than from a democratic form to an authoritarian form of leadership. Abuse of this style is usually viewed as controlling, bossy and dictatorial. Authoritarian leadership is best applied to situations where there is little time for group discussion.[2]

And that, dear friends, defines a CULT.

Rick repeats the mantra that congregational singing is not commanded. He means that YOU are sinning OR we have authority to IMPOSE whatever we wish.

Because YOU take liberties or sin, we know that GRACE GONNA COVER A MULTITUDE OF STINKS, so we GONNA add instruments which we Bible literates know to be condemned and associated with the Mother Harlot worship.

Singing (not yet tunefully) sowed massive discord after the year 373. However, scholars understand that SINGING IN THE HEART does not mean SANGING OUR LOUDEST. Nevertheless, congregational singing BINDS the tribe to the Alpha Male and maybe half of the people enjoy it and it does not intend to STEAL YOUR CHURCH HOUSE.

Mega Churches are Works Intensive 24/7. However, Rick does not permit people to think that their OBEDIENCE to a direct command contributes to FAITH which saves us. The sermonizer and worship team WORKS for you since the Service of the Levites means "HARD BONDANGE" and a Parasitic existence.

Grace is Progressive

August 22 2013, 8:54 PM

Beginning grace is described in Scripture and God's sacrifice. His gifts prompts us to consider His love for us, and provides the groundwork for our confidence in Him (He is on our side).

Redemptive grace is provided in church benefits such as confession of faith and baptism. God's "beginning" grace prompts us to fulfill or complete our salvation through His church gifts (grace or favor). These acts of redemption are on the basis of our free will, in seeing the evidence of His beginning grace and therefore our faith in Him is established. How else can we have confidence in Him than by accepting the fact that He gave His Son for us.

Securing and assuring grace is accomplished through study, prayer, and evidence of it--continued obedience to His commands. Else how could we really love Him or have faith (confidence) in Him, while we fail to respect and follow His will. One who fails to obey His commands, falls short in having security and confidence in Him.

People love to lie about the church fathers and bumpkins love to have it so. For instance, of True Worship.

http://www.piney.com/True.Worship.Lactantius.Book.VI.html

That's true: only do theologians fight against obedience while in the real world, obedience to commands is the only way to grow in any other field. However, from clay tablets onward the Massed Multitudes (the world) has evil occupation of trying to SILENCE the Word of God. The Greek synagogue or ekklesia PROHIBITED discussing private opinions (doubtful disputations in Romans 14) any verbal or written material not supplied by a highter power. In Romans 15 that is made clear enough that people who reject it are without excuse: "usie one mind and one mouth to speak that which is written for our LEARNING" which Paul calls SCRIPTURE. Here is the Purpose Driving the self-speaking and making music:

MUSICAL WORSHIP INTENDS TO DECEIVE AND DECEIVERS TURN TRUTH UPSIDE DOWN: THAT IS THEIR ASSIGNED TASK.

I know that quoting Scripture FEELS like hell but

Here is the REAL picture by Christ of the musicians driving people into hell.

[linked image]

Here is the TEXT by the Spirit OF Christ as the PROPHETIC TYPE which was fulfilled in Jerusalem and will again be (being) fulfilled and detailed in Revelation 17-19 where the BEAST speaks of A New Style of Music or Drama.

...........................THE BOOK

What Happened at the Madison Church of Christ?

There are thousands of churches being taken over across America.

This book is only about one of those churches. It's about the Madison Church Of Christ. By studying the methods used here along with the resource references you might be able to inoculate your church. At the very least you will recognize the signs early on.

Many of the current members of the Madison Church of Christ still don't know what happened.
Some never will know! This book is for them as well.

Madison Church of Christ was a 60 year old church. At one time it was one of the largest churches in the US, and the largest Church of Christ.

It thrived for many years on the vision of it's elders and those of it's ministers. Those visions undoubtably came from the the inspired word of Jesus Christ.

At sometime in the last 10 years there was a deliberate plan by a majority of the elders to take the Madison Church of Christ into a more worldly realm.

They used secrecy, covert planning, and outside sources to scheme and to change the format and direction of the Madison Church of Christ.

The Elders knew that the membership would never approve such a plan. Using the tools of the "Community Church Movement"(consultants, books, seminars, meetings, planters, seeders) they slowly started initiating change so it was never noticed by the members until it was too late.....

At the heart of the plan was the fact that old members were going to be driven off so new techniques could be used to go out and reach the unchurched through new "Contemporary Holy Entertainment" methods developed by the "Community Church Movement"

Old members had to be kept on board long enough to get their plans ready, or the funds would not be there to pay for the new building. So by the plans very nature, it had to be secret.

The church had no plan in effect to renew or approve elders. There was never any need. The elders had always been "as approved by God". 10 of the last 15 elders would begin to shed some doubt on that.

The Elders did not even need a majority at first, because some of the elders went along unwittingly.

This edition starts shortly after some of the members begin to smell something strange in January 2001. Later editions may go back and fill in some of the timeline.

To even start to understand whats happening here, you must read the background materials in the first of the book.

This is only the first edition, and not the end. New editions will be printed as needed. To keep abreast of current changes, please visit our web site; http://www.concernedmembers.com/madison

Here is the list of players;

5 Godly Elders
10 Not so Godly Elders
120 "Deacons" (allegiance unknown)
2,800 - 4,000 church "members"
2 "teners" (people who have publicly confessed to have broken all ten commandments)
Unknown number of "sinners" (This is what the 10 elders call us.)
Unknown number of "demons" (Flying everywhere, to many to count)
