It is good to go back to the root meaning which give insight into the worship of Dionysus or Bacchus the old wineskin god. Capella means a goat star or constellation. The worship of the STARRY HOST to which God abandoned the Jews added the GOAT SACRIFICE to which the instruments COMMANDED BY DAVID were played with ONE NOTE making noise.

The words I have listed have the same meaning such as Caper or CAPE (chapel) or Capra.

Capella never had "singing without instruments" as a meaning. The Capella, Cape or Chapel (Sistine) is a PLACE derived from a general's Goat-Skin Cape. Because the word always existed and in a military (militant) sense, it was probably a CAPE for for the SUN god which existed in Judaism and did not change in Catholicism. While the "house" was a house of Prayer, Jesus commanded that we pray in the CHAPEL or private place.

Because the castrated Opra singers sang INSIDE OF THE CHAPEL, singing a capella meant singing INSIDE OF the Sistine Chapel. As the general's goat skin CAPE (caper, capra, capella) was a chapel or PRIVATE PRAYER CLOSET. The Sistine never had an organ so that when the Castrates were added NOTHING CHANGED. The falsetto "praise team" was bumped or enhanced by the EMASCULATED Paul warned about.

Matt. 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, [Temno, a-camati, cubiculum an apartment for reclining] and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

This is a COMMAND and a prayer is a hymn. A Chapel is also sACELLUM or sACELLA. The Cella is the place where the gods live and no one can enter to sing, play, clap or shout. As with the Jew's Babylonish temple, a singer or player who entered into this CAPEL or CELLA was to be executed.

NOW, it doesn't matter what theologians reading theologians say: CAPELLA is the PLACE and not a METHOD. If you want to speak of A Capella you need to say SING as IN the Sistine Chapel since the general probably did not SING in his goat-skinned cape and NO Jew would be permitted to enter the SKIN Tabernacle.

The pharmacia or SORCERERS in Revelation 18 were SCAPEGOATS. Judas was called the JUDAS GOAT and he carried the JUDAS BOX always attached to a FLUTE CASE of the praise team assassins: judas Sicarri.

Gen. 27:16 And she put the skins of the kids of the goats upon his hands, and upon the smooth of his neck:
Ex. 35:23 And every man, with whom was found blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats hair, and red skins of rams, and badgers skins, brought them.
Lev. 16:27 And the bullock for the sin offering, and the goat for the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the holy place, shall one carry forth without the camp; and they shall burn in the fire their skins, and their flesh, and their dung.
Num. 31:20 And purify all your raiment, and all that is made of skins, and all work of goats hair, and all things made of wood.


Part of the Tabernacle as a PLACE was made of the CAPER or CAPER we showed in the bosom of Auriga or CAPELLA

Now the FORM OF SINGING inside of the Capella was as we noted ORGANUM. This began as a TEAM singing in UNISON (Romans 15) which would be called SPEAKING with the normal inflection of the voice. TO THAT they added the SECOND voice which was a form of harmony called ORGANUM. As noted, this is what led to to four part harmony with lots of other part-notes tossed in.

Therefore, for those going beyond Webster or theologians, Organum as the FORM of singing ALA CHAPEL was not very similar to congregational singing.

No: it is not singing in the STYLE of the Goat Skinned Chapel which word would prohibit the "progresssives" but singing AS WHERE they sang.

The Dionysus "Delicatus" singers were Goat Singers or sang for the prize of a goat. The "goatish" clergy were HAPPY to take the GENDER MARK so they could be the ASSIMILATED or INSIDERS or people on the PITCHER'S MOUND as with purpose driven.

Capella is a PLACE
Organum is the STYLE of unison or two part harmony.
You can CALL what you do anything you wish but the castrated singers sang IN THE CHAPEL for the POPE only or His private Mass which never permitted the organ which was put in a few major Cathedrals located at Fair Crossroads where the money was.

Singing A capella never meant congregational singing obeying the command to SPEAK THE SAME THINGS.

Gotta shut down: another storm comming just in time to wipe out Belmont.

I thought Donnie said we were not going to mention stars and goats anymore when it came to the subject of a cappella singing. But I guess Donnie meant that only Ken was permitted to continue the mythological spiel. That figures.

Not so.

You have constantly MENTIONED the expressions "starry hosts ... pagan mythology ..." in order to ridicule and reject any of Ken's posts that provide recorded evidences of pagan worship activities. I did a count earlier of YOUR references to those expressions. They were numerous!!!

Totally unnecessary especially when your post has nothing to do with those expressions.

In other words, just get to the point.

As far as "that only Ken was permitted..." -- I think you made that up. Well, you can do research on matters you ridicule and reject -- they will be published for our learning also.

I've been trying to talk about how appropriate a cappella congregational singing is that praises God without all the performance hoopla, but you and Ken keep wanting to talk about stars and goats. You're both too engrossed and involved in pagan mythology. Do you moonlight as palm readers and hold séances? happy.gif

There is a lot literature about the CHAPEL which is like the closet into which we enter--even under a prayer--cloth as the "tent" which moves with us.

This also defines worship IN THE SPIRIT which is a place in contrast to IN THE FLESH. Isaiah 4 which I will post below for more room defines church as an UMBRELLA which is a SAFE HOUSE from what has devolved into "worship in dribble of new wine."

The word HARMONY simply meant sounding together and not "sounding in loud conflict." Harmony is normally defined as two voices "speaking the same things." It can be used of several voices "sounding in HARMONY." We think of "living in harmony" as not in conflict but complex churchy music is a literal battle of "can I do my part bestest and loudest" so that everyone can admire my talent.

That quite radical change happened when the local church gave away its perfectly good song books to a denomination rather than to a "country bumpkin" congregation. They bought the Howard New style praise book which is the VINEYARD or new wineskins version. The emphasis was on repeat, repeat, repeat (the laded burden) of some inane phrase rather than quiet congregational singing. I think the changelings probably made that "transistion" in a large majority of "conservative" congregations.

In late antiquity and in the early middle ages the (scholae cantorum) or chant schools attached to the cathedrals in Rome and in the great provincial cities were also the important centers of learning and music.

During this period the Roman chant school proved the great training ground for future popes and Saint Gregory the Great was among its most illustrious alumni. Besides music, it provided instruction in literature and philosophy and like the Ecclesiastical Academy (papal school of diplomacy) in our own time, served as the great training center of popes and Roman curialists.

A change in the Roman (schola cantorum) came about as a result of the Avignonese papacy or Babylonian Captivity as Luther called it. Whilst living in France the popes engaged French musicians who employed the (ars nova) or new polyphonic style. Pope Gregory XI (1370-1378), born Pierre Roger de Beaufort, bore a blue bend within a border of six red roses on a silver field.

When he ended the Babylonian Captivity by returning the papacy to Rome in 1377, he merged his group of French musicians with the (schola cantorum) which had remained in Rome.

As a result thereafter the papal singers, called the (collegio dei cappellani cantori della cappella pontificia), now expanded their repertoire to include polyphony as well as plainchant.

The fifteenth and sixteenth centuries proved a remarkable period in the choir's history: Its golden age lasted until the mid seventh century. Pope Sixtus IV (1471-1484), a Della Rovere who bore their uprooted golden oak on a blue field, founded the Sistine chapel as the fixed abode for ordinary papal ceremonies and ended the traditional peregrinations of the popes and their retinues to the various stational churches of Rome.

As a result his musicians came to be known popularly after the chapel in which they sang and so became the Sistine choir. The choir was the patronage of music.

Among the choir's founders may be noted two of its great lawgivers, Paul III (1534- 1549) and Sixtus V (1585-1590). In his bull, (Roma capta) of 1545, the former reformed the choir after the devastating sack of Rome in 1527 providing firm footings for its glory to come. This Farnese pope bore six blue fleurs de lys on a gold field.

Sixtus V made the office of (maestro di cappella) elective and thus released it from the toils of nepotism and venality which engulfed so many ecclesiastical offices during the early modern period.

Sixtus also fixed the number of the singers at 21 and assigned to them for their support the revenues of three abbeys.

This important act regularized the finances of the choir. Candidates for the choir had to be clerks in minor orders and, after an audition, were selected by the maestro with the advice of the (maior et sanior pars) of the choir.

At the admission ceremony the new member was clothed with a (cotta) (shortened form of surplice) and took an oath of fidelity to the pope.

Thereafter the singer would sing exclusively for the pope and "moonlighting" was strictly forbidden.

The word, chapel, like the associated word, chaplain, is ultimately derived from Latin.[3] More specifically, the word "chapel" is derived from a relic of Saint Martin of Tours: traditional stories about Martin relate that while he was still a soldier, he cut his military cloak in half to give part to a beggar in need. The other half he wore over his shoulders as a "small cape" (Latin: capella). The beggar, the stories claim, was Christ in disguise, and Martin experienced a conversion of heart, becoming first a monk, then abbot, then bishop. This cape came into the possession of the Frankish kings, and they kept the relic with them as they did battle. The tent which kept the cape was called the capella and the priests who said daily Mass in the tent were known as the capellani. From these words, via Old French, we get the names "chapel" and "chaplain".

What Happened at the Madison Church of Christ?


There are thousands of churches being taken over across America.

This book is only about one of those churches. It's about the Madison Church Of Christ. By studying the methods used here along with the resource references you might be able to inoculate your church. At the very least you will recognize the signs early on.

Many of the current members of the Madison Church of Christ still don't know what happened.
Some never will know! This book is for them as well.

Madison Church of Christ was a 60 year old church. At one time it was one of the largest churches in the US, and the largest Church of Christ.

It thrived for many years on the vision of it's elders and those of it's ministers. Those visions undoubtably came from the the inspired word of Jesus Christ.

At sometime in the last 10 years there was a deliberate plan by a majority of the elders to take the Madison Church of Christ into a more worldly realm.

They used secrecy, covert planning, and outside sources to scheme and to change the format and direction of the Madison Church of Christ.

The Elders knew that the membership would never approve such a plan. Using the tools of the "Community Church Movement"(consultants, books, seminars, meetings,planters,seeders) they slowly started initiating change so it was never noticed by the members until it was too late.....

At the heart of the plan was the fact that old members were going to be driven off so new techniques could be used to go out and reach the unchurched through new "Contemporary Holy Entertainment" methods developed by the "Community Church Movement"

Old members had to be kept on board long enough to get their plans ready, or the funds would not be there to pay for the new building. So by the plans very nature, it had to be secret.

The church had no plan in effect to renew or approve elders. There was never any need. The elders had always been "as approved by God". 10 of the last 15 elders would begin to shed some doubt on that.

The Elders did not even need a majority at first, because some of the elders went along unwittingly.

This edition starts shortly after some of the members begin to smell something strange in January 2001. Later editions may go back and fill in some of the timeline.
