Re: David Young North Boulevard EX church of Christ: EIS NEVER MEANS BECAUSE OF

January 23 2015, 8:06 PM

That's the pattern: as for calling on the name of the Lord is ONLY by the act of Baptism, Max Lucado says "Just look up and call God Father" and you will be saved: in the sense of Predestination our preacher of focus says that God made him a crown and he cannot be lost.

We know that no one can be accidentally so ignorant of the Word and Jesus says of the "believeth not" that they are Apistos, in revolt, betrayers of God and treacherous. That would could never be applied to a person who hasn't denounced baptism but is simply not well informed. John says they are clergy of the Babylon Mother of harlots or sorcerers: the same word used of the beginning-time Babylon Mother of harlots the mother of a DAUGHTER symbolized by the DOVE.

Making up your own songs and sermons (Scribes and Pharisees) does not mean that God casts you alive into the lake of fire: You are sorcerers who HAD deceived the whole world and the rhetoric, singing, playing instruments and all of the craftsmen are the MARK that Jesus has been there and removed the LAMPS or the seven spirits of Christ (Isaiah 11). He has also removed the hypocritical mockers at feasts (religious observations) from the Holy Place claimed to be for God. Even a Jacob-cursed and God-abandoned Levite would be executed if he went into the secular holy place as a shadow of the true.

Salvation by Grace Through Faith
We believe in the salvation of sinners by grace, through repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of the cross of Calvary by which we obtain remission of sins (Ephesians 2:8-9; Hebrews 9:12, 22; Romans 5:11).

They lie and despise the Word of God. These passages say nothing about REMISSION OF SINS. God will never let them read the first part of Ephesians to see that Grace (Jesus) teaches us and saves us FROM the fall into musical idolatry. Saved almost always means SAFE FROM something or some one. Remission of sins is ONLY connected with Baptism.

Heb. 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
Heb. 9:13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
Heb. 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God,(YOU) purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Peter commanded that we SAVE OURSELVES from the Viper race or the Crooked Race. They are OF the World while lost spirits are not OF the World as Jesus is not OF the World: Jesus doesn't pray for the WORLD which is ruled by the Kosmokrater and Judas played his flute.

1Pet. 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by WATER.
1Pet. 3:21 The like figure whereunto
even baptism doth also now save us
(not the putting away of the filth of the flesh,
but the (REQUEST FOR) good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

Jesus died: you must YIELD and you will never debate it unless you are OF THE WORLD. "little vipers hate water" says one of the fathers.

FAITH ONLY literally is believeth nor or APISTOS: I will not comply, I am treacherous and in revolt against Jesus.

Rom. 6:16 Know ye not,
that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey,

his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
Rom. 6:17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
Rom. 6:18 Being THEN made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

Don't worry about it: if you go beyond PREACHING the Word by READING the Word for Comfort and doctrine and call Christ in Isaiah and Malachi a liar, you are supposed to rejoice in your fathfulness to your father: Jesus said that the SONS (spermated) of the Devil are marked by SPEAKING ON THEIR OWN.

THE MARK OF THOSE THE LOCUSTS HAVE CULLED OUT IS DEFINED IN ENOCH.

They are removed to the agricultural valley of Pan worship and can never get back on top of the mountain. They console themselves and warm themselves until BURNING TIME by organizing mixed-sex choirs, dancing, playing instruments which led to perverted sexuality. Paul repeated the pattern of Mount Sinai in Romans 1

Re: David Young North Boulevard EX church of Christ: BLASPHEMY OF PREDESTINATION

January 24 2015, 11:20 AM

Script said,

Five steps of salvation, according to faith only salvation:
1. Know that God is going to do something personal for you today
2. Wait for his Holy Spirit to touch your heart
3. Pray that you believe and thank God that He has just saved you
4. Keep on praying until you feel you have obtained the Holy Ghost
5. You are assured that you will never fall since God is now in total control

Then go and join the church of your choice.

Are these steps [to salvation] listed as such in the Bible?

January 24 2015, 1:04 AM

Justly asks: Are these steps [to salvation] listed as such in the Bible?

Yes, there are steps listed in the Bible!!!

Steps in Romans 10:
  • [10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
  • [11] For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
  • [12] For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
  • [13] For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
  • [14] How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
  • [15] And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

Steps (with a forward direction: "shall be" or "UNTO") in Romans 10:
  • Hear -- the one sent to preach;
  • Believe -- in him preached -----> UNTO (TOWARDS) righteousness;
  • Call -- on him believed in -----> SHALL BE saved (TOWARDS salvation);
or Confess with the mouth ... is made -----> UNTO (TOWARDS) salvation

Steps in Acts 2:
  • [36] Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
  • [37] Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
  • [38] Then Peter said unto them, Repent, AND [KAI] be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for UNTO [EIS] the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Steps (with a forward direction: "shall be" or "UNTO") in Acts 2:36-38:
  • Hear -- when they heard this...
  • Believe -- they were pricked in their heart...
  • Repent -- AND (a conjunction)...
  • Be baptized --------> UNTO the remission of sins

(1) Remission of Sins and (2) a Spirit of Holiness

January 24 2015, 1:57 AM

Without prejudice (the preconceived notion of "the Holy Spirit" as the Trinity's Person No. 3), Acts 2:38 simply tells us that the benefits of salvation or redemption in the blood of Christ are twofold:

(1) REMISSION OF SINS -- Numerous passages in the New Testament clearly tells us that one is to be buried with Christ in baptism and [out of the water] be resurrected with Christ to "begin newness of life." There is no forgiveness of past sins before burial meaning no salvation prior to baptism.

(2) RECEIVING THE GIFT OF A SPIRIT OF HOLINESS OR A CLEAR CONSCIENCE -- This is the other benefit AFTER repentance and BURIAL with Christ. The gift in Acts 2:38 cannot be a person (even if the Trinity Creed teaches that the Holy Spirit is PERSON NO. 3). If a "person" were a gift, why not Jesus Christ himself? Or, even God the Father?

There are more accurate translations (without "prejudice") out there:

"Repent and be baptized [be "BURIED WITH CHRIST IN BAPTISM] UNTO [towards] the remission of sins, and receive the gift of a spirit of HOLINESS." (Acts 2:38)

Perhaps Donnie is a Greek Scholar, I am not. However, while both the meanings of the Greek word eis are seen in different passages of Scripture, such noted Greek scholars as A.T. Robertson and J.R. Mantey have maintained that the Greek preposition eis in Acts 2:38 should be translated “because of” or “in view of,” and not “in order to,” or “for the purpose of.”

This scripture being contested by the COC is nothing new.

Re: (1) Remission of Sins and (2) a Spirit of Holiness

January 24 2015, 2:33 PM

A.T. Robertson, the premier Baptist grammarian, argued this case in his famous work, Word Pictures in the New Testament (Nashville: Broadman, 1930, III, 35-36). In addition, J.R. Mantey contended for the “causal” sense of eis in Acts 2:38, though he classified that use of the preposition as a “remote meaning.” His discussion clearly indicated, however, that

he yielded to that view because of his conviction that, if baptism was “for the purpose of the remission of sins,” then salvation would be of works, and not by faith (a false conclusion) (see: H.E. Dana & J.R. Mantey, A Manual Grammar of the Greek New Testament, New York: Macmillan, 1955, 103-04). Those of the Baptist persuasion constantly appeal to Robertson and Mantey as authorities on this matter.

First, he will never in any case find EIS meaning HOTI.
Second, he yielded to his claimed "remote view" BECAUSE he was a Baptists and probably didn't want to lose his job.

Salvation BY faith through GRACE never lets a "collector of data" to understand that Paul wants the reader to ask? SAVED or SAFE from WHAT? Saved FROM means the paganism of rhetoric, singing, playing instruments etal.

Salvation by LAW or WORKS means "Works of self-righteousness" and most churches fleece the flock in order to be seen and heard and paid. They BOAST that they are more righteous than the old conservatives: they have their reward.

Jesus makes it certain that the big, loud and popular will always be LYING IN WAIT TO DECEIVE. A Christian is a disciple of Christ is a student commanded to read and discuss that which is written in the prophets and apostles. A disciple doesn't have any need to pick a fight with God but fools are predestined.

Re: (1) Remission of Sins and (2) a Spirit of Holiness

No, Justly, I am not even perhaps a Greek scholar. OK, Robertson and Mantey are noted scholars. And I've noted the argument for "because of" and mentioned it here earlier.

The argument for "because of" is fallacious based on a number of reasons. The N.T. Greek conjunction "KAI" [which undoubtedly means "AND"] joins both actions: (1) repent AND (2) be baptized. Both actions are inseparable.

If forgiveness of sins or redemption has already been attained by simply believing (SAVED) PRIOR TO baptism, then REPENTANCE is also displaced ... as displaced as BAPTISM.

The noted scholars' interpretation would be: "Since you have been SAVED [redeemed, cleansed] BY FAITH, you will NOW [1] repent AND [2] be baptized."

That is opposite of the context in Acts 2:38 -- Repent and be baptized in order to receive forgiveness of sins and a clear conscience (refreshed, a spirit of holiness).

Acts 2:38 is also supported by another passage: "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord" (Acts 3:19)

Re: (1) Remission of Sins and (2) a Spirit of Holiness

January 24 2015, 3:12 PM

Isn't it amazing that the promise of strong delusions really works so that it would be pretty impossible for those to confess truth who have made a major industry out of picking nits trying to find something to repudiate what the languages and all translations really mean.

Tertullian: b. c. 155, /160, Carthage [now in Tunisia] d. after 220, Carthage

http://www.piney.com/Tertullian-Baptism.html

The consequence is, that a viper of the Cainite heresy, lately conversant in this quarter, has carried away a great number with her most venomous doctrine, making it her first aim to destroy baptism.

Which is quite in accordance with nature; for vipers and asps and basilisks themselves generally do affect arid and waterless places.

Chapter I.-Introduction. Origin of the Treatise.

Happy is our sacrament Of water, in that, by washing away the sins of our early blindness, we are set free and admitted into eternal life!

A treatise on this matter will not be superfluous; instructing not only such as are just becoming formed (in the faith), but them who, content with having simply believed, without full examination of the grounds of the traditions, carry (in mind), through ignorance, an untried though probable faith.

The consequence is, that a viper of the Cainite heresy, lately conversant in this quarter, has carried away a great number with her most venomous doctrine, making it her first aim to destroy baptism.
Chapter XXI.-The Views of Redemption Entertained by These Heretics.

1. It happens that their tradition respecting redemption is invisible and incomprehensible, as being the mother of things which are incomprehensible and invisible; and on this account, since it is fluctuating, it is impossible simply and all at once to make known its nature, for every one of them hands it down just as his own inclination prompts.

Thus there are as many schemes of "redemption" as there are teachers of these mystical opinions. And when we come to refute them, we shall show in its fitting-place, that this CLASS of men have been instigated by Satan to a denial of that baptism which is regeneration to God, and thus to a renunciation of the whole [Christian] faith.

They maintain that those who have attained to perfect knowledge must of necessity be regenerated into that power which is above all. For it is otherwise impossible to find admittance within the Pleroma [spiritual realm], since this [regeneratioit is which leads them down into the depths of Bythus

For the baptism instituted by the visible Jesus was for the remission of sins,
but the redemption brought in by that Christ who descended upon Him, was for perfection;
and they allege that the former is animal (baptism), but the latter spiritual. And the baptism of John was proclaimed with a view to repentance, but the redemption by Jesus was brought in for the sake of perfection.

Justly, steps are necessary due to condition of the unsaved. John the Baptist showed the need for repentance as in Acts 2 and the Ethiopian nobleman was asked for a confession of Christ.

It is our strong conviction that simply repeating a sinners prayer makes it too easy to have salvation without a reformation of life. Christianity is a behavior not just a profession.

Re: (1) Remission of Sins and (2) a Spirit of Holiness

The significance of the conjunction "KAI" ("and"), as well as the preposition "EIS" ("unto"):

(1) Repent "KAI" be baptized "EIS" [UNTO] the remission of sins (Acts 2:38).

(2) He that believes "KAI" is baptized SHALL BE [a forward direction] saved (Mark 16:16).

In both cases, redemption or salvation does not precede faith, repentance and baptism.

Re: 'EIS' in Acts 2:38 -- Is it 'because of'?

Re: 'EIS' in Acts 2:38 -- Is it 'because of'?
By Scripture (January 23 2015, 10:30 AM)

In this post, Scripture listed the order of salvation by churches and individuals in varying forms ... and commented:
The chief difference between these points of view in regard to baptism is that baptism gets one into the church after salvation, according to traditional Baptist view and perhaps hyper-Calvinist.

The Churches of Christ et al. see salvation as tantamount to church membership, therefore there is no additional step to be a church member.

I would like to ask Donnie if generic baptism gives salvation, even if the baptizer and the to-be-baptized don't understand it is for remission of sins. Does God give remission of sins, anyway?

This is a very good question ... a difficult one.

It is true that in the church of Christ, once the CONVERSION process is complete (but not without/before baptism), the new Christian (just added to the church) BEGINS newness of life in Christ and is to remain faithful unto the end.

But: (a) remaining faithful is really a post-conversion process, unlike (b) the teaching of "once saved, always saved" without having to worry about falling from grace.

The question raised pertains to the CONVERSION process ... more specifically to baptism itself. Because of the nature of the question that involves "remission of sins" in baptism:

(1) The Baptist may not be obligated [happy.gif]to answer the question since the teaching is that "remission of sins" (salvation by faith) PRECEDES baptism.

(2) In the church of Christ, it is possible that the prospect and/or the baptizer may not understand that baptism is for the remission of sins.

May we redirect this question to anyone who would like to express a viewpoint?

Re: 'EIS' in Acts 2:38 -- Is it 'because of'?

January 26 2015, 9:57 AM

A similar issue is that since the church is His body and we are baptized into the church (according to Baptist practice) then salvation occurs outside His body--that is, according to Baptist doctrine. If we are saved by faith alone, it follows that we are saved outside the church, which the Bible says is His body. Salvation, however, outside His body is an impossibility since remission of sins is renewed inside that body. "For as many as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ." Gal. 3:26-27. Paul looked at the church as critical to salvation, not just an afterthought. The idea that salvation is a personal relationship with Christ occurs within the body or church. It is not a churchless one-to-one relationship.

I also encourage anyone to give their thoughts on the topic of generic baptism, as has Donnie.

Re: 'EIS' in Acts 2:38 -- Is it 'because of'?

January 26 2015, 3:17 PM

This link doesn't work. If you want to know the meaning of EIS you will never see it defined as BECAUSE of in the Bible or any Greek (eis) or latin (en, in) text.

Case: the leper was to report to the priests FOR HIS CLEANSING. However, the "spots" just flew away and he had to follow the pattern for his healing.

Case. Job in matthew 12:41

They say that eis means "in regard to" but HOTI or BECAUSE is the only word meaning in regard to. Eis in this sense does not mean because of but "toward or in regard to" so toward means in regard to but not because of.

Donnie quoted the parallel which is always the case so that people cannot be innocently confused.

Hoti is one of the BECAUSE OF and both EIS and HOTI are used in the same text meaning different things.

Converted has the same meaning as baptism which was always to wash away something by dipping. Paul in 2 Corinthians 3 uses the converted word which is REQUIRED in order to receive A holy spirit or A good conscience which means consciousness or the ability to read BLACK text on WHITE paper. Without that you cannot be a Christian because a Christian is a Disciple and Jesus said that God HIDES from the "Wise Guys" or sophists which were the ancient and modern mobsters.

Scripture always makes the babes or simple people to read the text without definitions which you MUST used to defeat the Viper or Crooked Race: We are to save or make us SAFE from the Viper race.

Don't despise the Word or blaspheme: If Jesus had intended for anyone to have a remote clue that baptism is BECAUSE or HOTI repentence or baptism then He was smart enough to use HOTI. Heed my reading of Ephesians 4: NOT untiy in diversity but reject the sophists who are LYING IN WAIT TO DECEIVE. Almost all of those making a profit out of Christianity are Purpose Driven to make you follow red herrings.

Don't they say that Jesus was too dumb to say "He that believes and is not baptized shall be saved"? Is the ONE ALMIGHTY too ignorant and just muddled things up by speaking about baptism?

Baptists use Josephus to invalidate the only meaning of EIS

January 27 2015, 12:38 PM

MARKS and SIGNS and SEALS are important in God's Covenant with the Laity which is exclusive of Priests and Levites. Those who GLADLY receive the WORD ask to be baptized and never seem to question it or the definition of words. Jesus said that truth was hidden from the clergy as opposed to evangelists from the foundation of the world: Jesus said God HIDES from the wise or sophists: preaching beyond that which is written in context, singers, instrument players, actors or dancers.

Because the WORLD VIEW cannot accept any authority it is probably impossible for those who have become a FAITH ONLY SECTARIAN split to ever come to a knowledge of the truth: no problem, just keep witnessing for the Little Flock.

All of the "saved" words ask the necessary question; saved FROM WHAT? Only those who obey the gospel are FREE FROM SINS because they "request A good conscience or consciousness."

All of the "saved" words ask the necessary question; saved FROM WHAT? Only those who obey the gospel are FREE FROM SINS because we "request A good conscience or consciousness." Just sent an email to one who skips over the TRUMP passages.

Just sent an email to a faith only site who appeals to Josephus:

c. Add to this the testimony of the Jewish historian Josephus, who lived during the time of Christ and wrote about what he saw. Josephus wrote in his book "Antiquities of the Jews", in Book XVIII, chapter V, paragraph 2, that John only baptized men AFTER they had repented: John "commanded the Jews to exercise virtue, both as to righteousness towards one another, and piety towards God, and so to come to baptism; for that the washing [with water] would be acceptable to him, if they made use of it, not in order to the putting away, [or the remission] of some sins [only], but for the purification of the body: supposing still that the soul was thoroughly purified beforehand by righteousness".

That, they claim, TRUMPS Jesus who said He that believeth (pistis complies) and or BEING baptized SHALL BE saved. He will be saved from the Crooked Race or Viper race. whom John refused to baptize because they would never REPENT. The problem may be in equating righteousness (the steps in Josephus) which qualifies them for receiving Baptism FOR the remission of sins.

Notice that John was a GOOD man. He refused to baptize the viper race because they were not righteous because they neither feared God not practiced social justice. Notice that Josephus defines RIGHTEOUS opposite to that of the Jews: all of the "faith" passages are to CONVICT the Jews that being righteous meant being a Jews,.

Josephus XVII.V 2. Now some of the Jews thought that the destruction of Herod's army came from God, and that very justly, as a punishment of what he did against John, that was called the Baptist:

for Herod slew him,who was a GOOD man, and commanded the Jews to exercise virtue,
both as to [1] righteousness towards one another,
and [2] piety towards God,
and so to come to baptism;
for that the washing [with water] would be acceptable to him,

Those so qualified could come to John's baptism which was FOR the remission of sins:

Mark 1:4 John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for [eis] the remission of sins.

Josephus IF they made use of it, not in order to the putting away [or the remission] of SOME sins [only],
but for the purification of the body;

Paul risked his life to go to Jerusalem to show that the only purification came at baptism: "arise and be baptized and WASH AWAY they sins."

RIGHTEOUSNESS is the condition of a person who qualifies to be WASHED WITH WATER INTO THE WORD OR INTO THE SCHOOL OF CHRIST.

All Jews, Gentiles and Swine are PURIFIED or ceremonially qualified by THE FAITH of Jesus Christ. The Jews thought that the Gentiles must be circumcised and obey the law of moses to make them ceremonially pure and qualified for the REMISSION OF SINS. If a person has stealing as their nature baptism will not make them good. However, Paul commanded that we be washed in water INTO the Word or into the School of Christ. Christ the Rock defined the assembly in the wilderness as a place to read, understand and memorize portions of Scripture. That is a MARK of the tiny flock because the kingdom does not come with observation meaning religious rituals not connected to the Word.

A GENTILE is not ceremonially disqualified but the grandest saint will never get into the Kingdom of God without ENROLLING by request at baptism:

Acts 10:34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
Acts 10:35 But in every nation [Gentiles] he that
[1] feareth him, and
[2] worketh righteousness,
is accepted with him.

Josephus says God ACCEPTS their baptism only if they qualify as the Little Flock.

Josephus supposing still that the soul was thoroughly purified beforehand by righteousness.

This is OPPOSED to being purified by circumcision nd keeping the Law.

As Josephus states above, Righteous people are considered righteous (not holy) if they act right in accordance with their society. Cornelius was a god-fearer and a rigtehous person because Jesus Declared it so simply by rejecting the dogma of the Jews.

God had to send a SUPERNATURAL SIGN to dare the doubting Jews from refusing baptism to Cornelius. Peter had been sent to Cornelius and the Gentiles to tell him HOW TO BE SAVED: here is the only thing Peter commanded Cornelius. Peter hears something in the air (Holy Breath). This resulted in the Gentiles performing a SIGN which was only to testify to the truth of one sent from God.

PETER: Acts 11:14 Who shall tell thee WORDS, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved.

Wouldn't it also call God a fool for COMMANDING baptism for those who already had their "ticket punched" by just BELIEVING SOMETHING.

Why would anyone refuse baptism (like the baptists) if they thought that they were saved as a God-Fearer and therefore having FAITH?

Acts 10:47 Can any man FORBID water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?

Acts 10:48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

Baptists (about 50%) refuse baptism even after their divine selection until they have been trained and CERTIFIED by the organization.

The Spirit OF God (breath-dove) descended on Jesus only AFTER He had obeyed the prophecy in Isaiah 1.

Jesus validated his role as Holy Spirit by pouring out what the Apostles heard and saw in the upper room. They heard the sound of wind (breath not a person) and fire. He certified the Gentiles and Peter's ORIGINAL message by their SPEAKING WORDS which the Jews understood and not Cornelius' native language Latin

Jesus said My Words are SPIRIT and LIFE: they are the BREATH of the Father articulated by the Son. Peter certifies that we have that Spirit-Breathed Word validated by the miracles of Jesus and left for our Memory. To deny that the BREATH recorded on paper in WORDS we can understand do not have the POWER UNTO SALVATION is to claim that God is impotent and Christ was a fraud by prophesying the WORD to be delivered as vaild of their children and children's childrens.

Baptists deny that faith comes by hearing the Word but that they are (usually) predestinated and God PUTS their faith into their heads "beyond the sacred pages." Defunct once churches of Christ also believes that they are predestinated and that FAITH is their gift from God in contradiction from FAITH which is never disconnected from hearing evidence.

Re: David Young North Boulevard EX church of Christ: EIS NEVER MEANS BECAUSE OF

January 27 2015, 2:54 PM

Josephus speaks only of righteous people who were baptized to be ceremonially pure. However, John makes it clear that his baptism was FOR the remission of sins and not the ceremonial washing of the body. By prophecy and command Jesus uses the same washing of the Body to be ceremonially clean or justified and "FILLS IT FULL" of His own righteousness.

Mark 7:8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men,
.....as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.

Eph. 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water INTO the word,
Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done,
.....but according to his mercy he saved us,
.....by the washing of regeneration,
.....and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Heb. 9:8 The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest,
.....while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:
Heb. 9:9 Which was a figure for the time then present,
.....in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices,
.....that could not make him that did the service perfect,
.....as pertaining to the conscience;
Heb. 9:10 Which stood only in meats and drinks,
.....and divers washings, and carnal ordinances,
.....imposed on them until the time of reformation.
Heb. 9:11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come,
.....by a greater and more perfect tabernacle,
.....not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
Heb. 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves,
.....but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place,
.....having obtained eternal redemption for us.
Heb. 9:13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats,
.....and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean,
s.....anctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
Heb. 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ,
.....who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God,
.....purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Heb. 10:19 Having therefore, brethren,
..... boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
Heb. 10:20 By a new and living way,
.....which he hath consecrated for us,
.....through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
Heb. 10:21 And having an high priest over the house of God;
Heb. 10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith,
.....having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience,
.....and our bodies washed with pure water.

1Pet. 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient,
.....when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah,
.....while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is,
.....eight souls were saved by water.
1Pet. 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us
.....(not the putting away of the filth of the flesh,
.....but the answer [request for] of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

...........................THE BOOK

What Happened at the Madison Church of Christ?

There are thousands of churches being taken over across America.

This book is only about one of those churches. It's about the Madison Church Of Christ. By studying the methods used here along with the resource references you might be able to inoculate your church. At the very least you will recognize the signs early on.

Many of the current members of the Madison Church of Christ still don't know what happened.
Some never will know! This book is for them as well.

Madison Church of Christ was a 60 year old church. At one time it was one of the largest churches in the US, and the largest Church of Christ.

It thrived for many years on the vision of it's elders and those of it's ministers. Those visions undoubtably came from the the inspired word of Jesus Christ.

At sometime in the last 10 years there was a deliberate plan by a majority of the elders to take the Madison Church of Christ into a more worldly realm.

They used secrecy, covert planning, and outside sources to scheme and to change the format and direction of the Madison Church of Christ.

The Elders knew that the membership would never approve such a plan. Using the tools of the "Community Church Movement"(consultants, books, seminars, meetings, planters, seeders) they slowly started initiating change so it was never noticed by the members until it was too late.....

At the heart of the plan was the fact that old members were going to be driven off so new techniques could be used to go out and reach the unchurched through new "Contemporary Holy Entertainment" methods developed by the "Community Church Movement"

Old members had to be kept on board long enough to get their plans ready, or the funds would not be there to pay for the new building. So by the plans very nature, it had to be secret.

The church had no plan in effect to renew or approve elders. There was never any need. The elders had always been "as approved by God". 10 of the last 15 elders would begin to shed some doubt on that.

The Elders did not even need a majority at first, because some of the elders went along unwittingly.

This edition starts shortly after some of the members begin to smell something strange in January 2001. Later editions may go back and fill in some of the timeline.

To even start to understand whats happening here, you must read the background materials in the first of the book.

This is only the first edition, and not the end. New editions will be printed as needed. To keep abreast of current changes, please visit our web site; http://www.concernedmembers.com/madison

Here is the list of players;
