Concerned About "Concerned Members": Let This Revelation Be Communicated!

October 2 2014 at 11:19 PM
Greg  (no login)
from IP address

Read the replies under "A list of churches that CM approves." Summary: Neither K(en) nor D(onnie) believe in, nor practice, being members at a local congregation. It isn't simply Madison Church of Christ and all "denominations" that should be marked and avoided, but ALL ASSEMBLIES OF SAINTS. This forum should be changed from "Concerned Members" to "CONCERNED," or from "Concerned Members of the Madison Church of Christ" to "CONCERNED FOR ALL CHRISTIANS AFFILIATED WITH ANY CHURCH."

Re: Concerned About "Concerned Members": Let This Revelation Be Communicated!

Thanks for initiating the concerned-about-CM thread.

How many church of Christ congregations are there worldwide? 20,000? ConcernedMembers is not the church's headquarters, but there's awareness in the brotherhood which congregations prefer to be affiliated and/or identified with the Community Church Movement, rather than with the Restoration [of the New Testament church] Movement. Of the thousands of congregations of the NT church, accordingly, there have been around 30 of these that have gone "instrumental" -- and these are mainly mega churches of Christ (formerly Richland Hills Church of Christ; Oak Hills Church [formerly "of Christ"]; etc.). If time permits, I would like to research the number of churches of Christ that have membership affiliation with, e.g., the Willow Creek [Community Church] Association. Greg, you may want to research this yourself.

In regard to the list of churches ... "approved" [?] ... and other "issues" presented ....

(To be continued.... Please do not respond to this post yet. Thanks)

Re: Concerned About "Concerned Members": Let This Revelation Be Communicated!

Donnie is very busy: he intends to come back to this thread.

As for me I believe that this without expanding for now.

The church or ekklesia consists of all individuals who have been "washed with water into the Word" or into the school of Christ. Liberty means liberty from the oppression of the Law which regulated daily lives if you didn't want to get into trouble with the religious authorities exercising civil authority.

In direct commands and examples in my lifetime (generally) was to assemble, gather or come together ONCE a week. That was true of the Civil Ekklesia and Synagogue as well as the direct command for the Jewish synagogue.

All of these words use a form of SYNAGOGUE so that James uses the synagogue Word as did Paul in the "assembled sense."

We know that the Qahal or Synagogue existed at the time of Jacob who warned everyone NOT to attend the Qahal of Levi (Genesis 49). That was one way Abraham's seed was supposed to bless all nations. Many "churches" claim that the exorcism noise for the not-commanded sacrificial system is such a DIRECT COMMAND that people are willing to lie, cheat and steal your church house and happy church family: been there-done that three times.

All of the Godly Israelites were quarantined to their isolated towns and Holy Convocation (a reading assembly) was held on first and seventh days of festivals and EACH Sabbath (Rest) day when settled in the land.

When the ekklesia or synagogue dismissed it was until the next appointed hour next week. There was no staff to run either assembly although the synagogue was the center of learning and at the time of Jesus children attended school at synagogue but not as "worship services."

The patternist, traditional meeting twice on Sunday is somehow tangled with no other entertainment and going home to milk cows: been there-done that.

That traditionalism has very recently bloomed into a huge staff intending to spend all of your surplus money and make certain that you are not bored after work on Friday. So that traditionalism of normal community societies has become a Major Part of the Gross National Product. When you reach 84 you are not intimidated by a "visitation" if you don't follow the laws of assemblies.

The Ekklesia Part A

October 23 2014, 5:52 PM

We have noted that just reading the Scriptures will define:

The Ekklesia is every believer who has been "washed with water into the Word or into the School of Christ." After all, Disciples don't go to worship services devoted to the personal opinions of the Book on Brain Surgery. Citizens of the ekklesia are free and whatever is right or wrong the direct commands and all of the examples is that both the civil and religious gathering was once a week.

The citizens SYNAGOGUE each week to obey the direct command to teach that which has been taught."

Jesus "synagogued" two first days in a row and there is no evidence of any kind of "praise service". Paul commanded and exampled the assembly and there is no recorded example of any singing service. That is a very good thing because

Lexis (SPEAK that which is written) is the OPPOSITE of ODE.
That is very good because the only commanded and exampled resource was the Scriptures. There is nothing metrical in the text.
That is very good because group singing did not begin until Calvin's disciples inherited the great Cathedrals where musical performances took place but not religious.
That is good because it was Calvin who permitted radically recomposed psalms only to be sung in unison only.
That does not speak of right or wrong but what you are bound to do if you claim to be a New Testament Church.

Neither ekklesia or synagogues have staffs or programs beyond a contact man to which the mailman delivered a letter from Paul. Here are some historical comments.

Jay Guin preaching against Musical Idolatry but PRACTICING it.

October 24 2014, 9:13 PM

I have been quoting to Matt Dabbs some of the passages where JESUS IS DUMB BEFORE THE SLAUGHTERR which are ALWAYS connected with musical instruments driving him into silence. This was also to fulfill the prophecy about Judas trying to triumph over his good friend, Jesus. Matt is lost because whatever the scholarship he does not have access to the original documents and demands that he define bible words to FIT THE CULTURE.

Jay Guin has confiscated wineskins which was the mother of the fall into apostasy at LU etal. Here is a quick note filling in the blanks about mount sinai proving that the whining about sectarian ONLY applies to the whiner who has never read the text as story line.

I fill fill in later.

Ekklesia Reading Aloud Part C

October 25 2014, 11:11 PM

It is well documented that once people begin to tamper with the Word as written for our learning and make it as a LEGAL CONSTITUTION for a "worshiping religion" they have fallen and will never get back up. Over and over the Ekklesia is freed citizens of the Kingdom of God which does not come with observation meaning religious observations defined by Paul as Lying Wonders.

The freed all week members of the EKKLESIA assemble themselves defined many times with a SYNAGOGUE WORD.

There is no example of any kind of "music" in the New Testament: Ephesians 5 from my early reading says:

SPEAK that which is written for our learning: we be DISCIPLES and not audience to have 'worship' afflicted upon.

LEXIS and all of the LOGOS WORDS
are OPPOSITE to ODE or PSALLO which carries ugly persona marks.

Therefore we ODE and PSALLO IN the heart or mind or spirit. There is NO MELOS word in the Bible and MELE pretty close means to MEDITATE CAREFULLY.

If flakey worship fellas and gals make music of that WHICH THEY HAVE WRITTEN then if you don't get it's then that's ok. Jesus said that God HIDES from the wise or sophists meaning rhetoricians, singers, instrument players, actors, dancers and at one of my old churches "clapping, shouting, hugging and kissing."

You can CANTILLATE with rhymic prose if you break up the commanded Biblical Text into syllables. That would mean that just like silly sally in the Medieval churches--even Catholic ones who didn't use instruments to accompany congregational singing--would carry a whole chapter or story line in her head and she could SPEAK TO HERSELF all week long. Pity what the progressives call the Post-Christian Dispensation: for them it is all over and Jesus doesn't pray for the World or Cosmic Worshipers.

Even in the prayers themselves, rhythmic verse gave way to prose. The exclusion of women, the elevation of unison singing, and the exclusion of instruments served to establish a clear differentiation between musical performance in the synagogue and that of the street.

The first codification of early church music was reputedly made by Pope Gregory I during his reign (590–604). Gregory’s collection was selected from chants already in use. His codification assigned these chants to particular services in the liturgical calendar

The monks did not need a congregation so they are today marginalized.

...........................THE BOOK

What Happened at the Madison Church of Christ?

There are thousands of churches being taken over across America.

This book is only about one of those churches. It's about the Madison Church Of Christ. By studying the methods used here along with the resource references you might be able to inoculate your church. At the very least you will recognize the signs early on.

Many of the current members of the Madison Church of Christ still don't know what happened.
Some never will know! This book is for them as well.

Madison Church of Christ was a 60 year old church. At one time it was one of the largest churches in the US, and the largest Church of Christ.

It thrived for many years on the vision of it's elders and those of it's ministers. Those visions undoubtably came from the the inspired word of Jesus Christ.

At sometime in the last 10 years there was a deliberate plan by a majority of the elders to take the Madison Church of Christ into a more worldly realm.

They used secrecy, covert planning, and outside sources to scheme and to change the format and direction of the Madison Church of Christ.

The Elders knew that the membership would never approve such a plan. Using the tools of the "Community Church Movement"(consultants, books, seminars, meetings, planters, seeders) they slowly started initiating change so it was never noticed by the members until it was too late.....

At the heart of the plan was the fact that old members were going to be driven off so new techniques could be used to go out and reach the unchurched through new "Contemporary Holy Entertainment" methods developed by the "Community Church Movement"

Old members had to be kept on board long enough to get their plans ready, or the funds would not be there to pay for the new building. So by the plans very nature, it had to be secret.

The church had no plan in effect to renew or approve elders. There was never any need. The elders had always been "as approved by God". 10 of the last 15 elders would begin to shed some doubt on that.

The Elders did not even need a majority at first, because some of the elders went along unwittingly.

This edition starts shortly after some of the members begin to smell something strange in January 2001. Later editions may go back and fill in some of the timeline.

To even start to understand whats happening here, you must read the background materials in the first of the book.

This is only the first edition, and not the end. New editions will be printed as needed. To keep abreast of current changes, please visit our web site;

Here is the list of players;

5 Godly Elders
10 Not so Godly Elders
120 "Deacons" (allegiance unknown)
2,800 - 4,000 church "members"
2 "teners" (people who have publicly confessed to have broken all ten commandments)
Unknown number of "sinners" (This is what the 10 elders call us.)
Unknown number of "demons" (Flying everywhere, to many to count)
