Ken must have deleted his post in which he suggested that Bill stick a pin between his eyes but not hit any vital organs. In a later post, Ken had said, "I meant DAVE'S eyes." Yes, Ken had been a part of all that good "nonsense." happy.gif

There's a lot missing in the "conversation" between post 41 and post 45. Hmmm ... sticking a pin "between his eyes but not hit any vital organs"? Sounds like a good advice for a professional performing it. Instead, the advice must have hit a nerve. happy.gif

Ken, I understand the temptation. After all, the preceding conversation made references to "megalomaniacal fanatics," "dolls and women's underwear," "a real riot" not having had "enough oxygen at birth." Two severe CM critics were at it with their messages posted. Let's assume they're good friends. happy.gif

It appears that the system automatically deletes all the posts (approved and not approved) underneath a post being deleted. This being the case, it also appears that the system has no provision to remove the symbol "*" from the thread. [The asterisk (*) is an indicator to the moderator that there is a post or posts waiting approval.]

Questions Unanswered: 'The Gift of the Holy Ghost' in Acts 2:38

January 18 2016, 10:09 AM

Dave said to Donnie:
The Christian is aware that YOU are trying to change the very Word of God. The Scriptures SAY in Acts 2:38 that we will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit not the gift of A holy spirit.

The Christian also knows that that YOU are shortchanging yourself when you don'accept that gift, but as for US Christians, we gladly accept the gift. What is the gift of the Holy Spirit? If you want varied opinion, then there is your conundrum. Stick to what you know.

Question(s) for Dave regarding Acts 2:38--

1. When one repents and is baptized, does he receive: (a) forgiveness of sins and (b) the "Holy Ghost" as the gift?
---------------------- or -----------------------
2. When one repents and is baptized, does he receive: (a) forgiveness of sins and (b) the spirit of holiness [purity, being refreshed, a clear conscience]?
---------------------- or -----------------------
3. When one repents and is baptized, does he receive: (a) forgiveness of sins and (b) _____ _____ _____ _____ _____ _____?

For those who adhere to the Trinity Creed: --

1. What is "the gift of the Holy Ghost"? _____ _____ _____ _____ _____
2. Is the "Holy Ghost" the gift? _____ _____ _____ _____ _____
3. Why is Jesus Christ not "the gift"? _____ _____ _____ _____ _____
4. Why is God the Father not "the gift"? _____ _____ _____ _____ _____
5. When the "Holy Ghost" is received, does one he become Charismatic? _____ _____
6. What does one expect when the "Holy Ghost" is received? _____ _____ _____
7. When you (Dave) received the "Holy Ghost," what did you experience? _____ _____

Just waiting for Bill to engage in the real discussion -- it will be published certainly. Re: Questions Unanswered: 'The Gift of the Holy Ghost' in Acts 2:38

January 18 2016, 12:27 PM

THE holy spirit is the MIND of Mental disposition of God, Jesus or mankind AFTER an UNholy spirit has been made into A holy spirit. If reading 101a doesn't do it then be assured that the neo-trinity is a "progressive" dogma much worse than instrumental apostasy.

God IS Spirit because He does not have flesh and bones: Jesus was not Spirit or God because He was made of flesh and bones. God's SPIRIT is holy which means that it is PURE or WHOLLY Spirit by nature.

Alexander Campbell and others understand that A holy spirit is OUR unholy spirit which has been cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ and not His "spirit."

http://www.piney.com/Alexander.Campbell.Earnest.Spirit.html

This is...understood by every attentive reader. The original phrase is hagiasmos pneumatos, and is found only in II. Thess. ii. 13; I. Pet. i. 2. In both places it appears to refer to the sanctification of the spirit of believers. It is literally rendered "sanctification [or holiness] of spirit." There is no article in the original and no epithet that suggests the Holy Spirit in either passage.
God has chosen men to salvation through (or by) holiness of spirit;
not through the holiness of his Spirit,
but through the holiness of their spirit.

When Jesus prayed (John xvii.) for the sanctification or holiness of his disciples,
it was through the truth: "Sanctify them through the truth;
thy word is truth."

The belief of the truth is, therefore, by Paul associated with this holiness or sanctification of spirit.

The Spirit of God is frequently denominated in these days, "the Sanctifier."
Let it be granted that it is the Spirit that sanctifies or sets apart men to God,
still it must be argued from the Record
that he sanctifies them only through the truth or gospel believed.

A sanctified unbeliever is inconceivable;
and, as "without holiness [or sanctification of spirit] no man can see the Lord;
so, without faith, there can be no holiness, and no action acceptable to God.

All persons sanctified to God to any high office or function, were anointed, and thus consecrated to his special service. So all Christians, being priests,
are anointed or sanctified by the Holy Spirit
[135] through the obedience of the truth,
and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus,
cleansing their consciences from dead works to serve the living God.

Re: Questions Unanswered: 'The Gift of the Holy Ghost' in Acts 2:38

January 18 2016, 7:07 PM

The MARK of an UNholy spirit is that God does not let them read the context. As Donnie noted, the Gift of God does not mean that you can fit God inside of your carnal bodies. The context DEFINES the meaning of the GIFT to Your own spirit but NEVER until you have "gladly RECEIVED the Word" in the first pace and ask to be baptized. Those who murmor are OF the World. "The Holy Spirit" in any kind of PERSON is left out:

Gal. 1:3 Grace be to you and peace
from God the Father,
AND
from our Lord Jesus Christ,

Grace is personified as Jesus who APPEARED teaching us to deny whatever you did yesterday.

Gal. 1:4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:

Heb. 12:22 But ye are come unto mount Sion,
.....and unto the city of the living God,
.....the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
Heb. 12:23 To the general assembly and church of the FIRSTBORN (Church of Chgrist),
.....which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all,
.....and to the SPIRITS of just men MADE PERFECT

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them,
.....Repent, and be baptized every one of you
.....in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins,
.....and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

This is another of the almost universal telling God that He isn't very smart. He did not say that "the Holy Spirit God person" will live in your bodies.

It is the REMISSION of sins that God GIVES you A holy spirit. The same peter called it a good conscience, consciousness or a co-perception. In 2 Corinthians 3 Peter says that you will grasp that THE LORD IS THE SPIRIT and you will be able to READ the Word or HEAR the Word when it is PREACHED by being READ on the once-a-week REST day. God never calls you out on a work day.

The Remission of Sins logically gives you A holy spirit or A good conscience. We are washed in water INTO the Word or into the school of the Word. The logical claim of those who claim that they have THE holy spirit as a god person inside of their BODIES is that they can claim that whatever they imagine must be "A" spirit telling them to lie and impose instruments as the MARK of telling their god that they will no longer listen.

Those who claim that they are saved by Grace through Faith never ask MADE SAFE from WHAT. That answer is in the first verses of Ephesians 2.

Acts 2:39 For THE PROMISE is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off,
.....even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
Acts 2:40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying,
.....SAVE YOURSELF from this untoward [Viper] generation. [Race]
Acts 2:41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized:
.....and the same day there were ADDED unto them about three thousand souls.

Acts 2:47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people.
.....And the Lord added to the church daily such as should [were being] be saved

Acts 3:18 But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets,
.....that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.
Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be CONVERTED,
.....THAT your sins may be blotted out,
.....when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

Spirit literally means only WIND: in a figurative sense it is used of BREATH. Spirit means the "mental disposition" of that person which we hear in the form of Words. The Refreshing from the Lord is a NEW breath and a COOLING OFF of the passions of life.

g403. anapsuxis, an-aps´-ook-sis; from 404; properly, a recovery of breath, i.e. (figuratively) revival: — revival.
g404. anapsucho, an-aps-oo´-kho; from 303 and 5594; properly, to cool off, i.e. (figuratively) relieve: — refresh.
g5594. psucho, psoo´-kho; a primary verb; to breathe (voluntarily but gently, thus differing on the one hand from 4154, which denotes properly a forcible respiration; and on the other from the base of 109, which refers properly to an inanimate breeze), i.e. (by implication, of reduction of temperature by evaporation) to chill (figuratively): — wax cold.
A Respite from Evil

Re: Is Christ, Who Is the IMAGE OF God, God????????

January 18 2016, 7:41 PM

The false gods of the Civil-Military-Complex of the Jews and all pagan "gods" force the people to LABOR while the gods or their agents REST and are entertained and fed. Jesus died to free HIS LITTLE FLOCK from the laded burden and burden laders of the clergy. The spiritual covenants of God are made with the laity exclusive of the priests and levites. The REFRESHING is to be cooled off and rest instead of making the Lord's Day the hardest day of the week.

Kakon II. of things, evil, pernicious, freq. in Hom., etc., as daimōn, thanatos, moira, aisa, kēres, nousos, helkos, pharmaka [sorcerers Revelation 18], “mageiros” Pl.Phdr.265e:

But as things are now, whenever a man has planted his house, with a view to retail trade, in a desert place and with all the roads from it lengthy, if in this welcome lodging he receives travellers in distress, providing tranquillity and calm to those buffeted by fierce storms or restful coolness after torrid heat,—the next thing is that, instead of treating them as comrades and providing friendly gifts as well as entertainment, he holds them ransom, as if they were captive foemen in his hands, demanding very high sums of unjust and unclean ransom-money;

Eur. Supp. 615 Second Semi-Chorus
The former fear has warped your judgment. Vengeance calls vengeance forth; slaughter calls for slaughter, [615] but the gods give to mortals respite from affliction, holding in their own hands each thing's allotted end.

The Spirit OF Christ left no silences: He defined the future REST using various terms: the Church is supposed to be a SAFE HOUSE rather than a place to "hold people for ranson."

...........................THE BOOK

What Happened at the Madison Church of Christ?

There are thousands of churches being taken over across America.

This book is only about one of those churches. It's about the Madison Church Of Christ. By studying the methods used here along with the resource references you might be able to inoculate your church. At the very least you will recognize the signs early on.

Many of the current members of the Madison Church of Christ still don't know what happened.
Some never will know! This book is for them as well.

Madison Church of Christ was a 60 year old church. At one time it was one of the largest churches in the US, and the largest Church of Christ.

It thrived for many years on the vision of it's elders and those of it's ministers. Those visions undoubtably came from the the inspired word of Jesus Christ.

At sometime in the last 10 years there was a deliberate plan by a majority of the elders to take the Madison Church of Christ into a more worldly realm.

They used secrecy, covert planning, and outside sources to scheme and to change the format and direction of the Madison Church of Christ.

The Elders knew that the membership would never approve such a plan. Using the tools of the "Community Church Movement"(consultants, books, seminars, meetings,planters,seeders) they slowly started initiating change so it was never noticed by the members until it was too late.....

At the heart of the plan was the fact that old members were going to be driven off so new techniques could be used to go out and reach the unchurched through new "Contemporary Holy Entertainment" methods developed by the "Community Church Movement"

Old members had to be kept on board long enough to get their plans ready, or the funds would not be there to pay for the new building. So by the plans very nature, it had to be secret.

The church had no plan in effect to renew or approve elders. There was never any need. The elders had always been "as approved by God". 10 of the last 15 elders would begin to shed some doubt on that.

The Elders did not even need a majority at first, because some of the elders went along unwittingly.

This edition starts shortly after some of the members begin to smell something strange in January 2001. Later editions may go back and fill in some of the timeline.

To even start to understand whats happening here, you must read the background materials in the first of the book.

This is only the first edition, and not the end. New editions will be printed as needed. To keep abreast of current changes, please visit our web site; http://www.concernedmembers.com/madison

Here is the list of players;

5 Godly Elders
10 Not so Godly Elders
120 "Deacons" (allegiance unknown)
2,800 - 4,000 church "members"
2 "teners" (people who have publicly confessed to have broken all ten commandments)
Unknown number of "sinners" (This is what the 10 elders call us.)
Unknown number of "demons" (Flying everywhere, to many to count)
