Sticking to the resource

June 18 2016, 12:32 PM

I searched and found where he got his exegesis. It came from Coffman's commentary. Preachers and teachers would not have to tread softly if they stuck to the material as written. We are not to add or take away from scripture so when some add their own details in the assembly aren't they breaking the Law of Christ? I see the assembling of ourselves together to come learn of me, as the most simplistic command we were given. The resource is the word that Jesus Christ died to give us. His word given thru the apostles and prophets, has the power to make us anew. The only way we can have unity, is if we all speak the same thing, this leaves the disputing outside the assembly. No one can argue with our Heavenly Father, or at least I wouldn't advise it. Fortunately, most have access thru the internet to see the Greek and Hebrew text for ourselves. We also, can view secular, ancient documents, and the older Christian writings. This gives disciples the ability to see how words were used and how people thought during those times. I believe if anyone says anything about our Father, we must be able to say "so saith The Lord", anything beyond that is man's opinion. Can't we give one hour to speak the word as it has been written?

Luke 4:4 (KJV)
And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

Matthew 26:40 (KJV)
And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?

Ephesians 4:13-14 (KJV)
Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: [14] That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

When I heard the Word it was the verse of Act2:38, which convinced me to be baptized. How did the apostles get these words, but thru the Spirit of Christ! How did the preacher know to repeat other than reading those very words to me.

Acts 2:38 (KJV)
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Romans 14:1 (KJV)
Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.

Hebrews 4:12 (KJV)
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Matthew 11:28-30 (KJV)
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. [29] Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. [30] For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Matthew 5:17-19 (KJV)
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. [18] For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. [19] Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them , the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Revelation 22:17-19 (KJV)
And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. [18] For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: [19] And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

John 6:63 (KJV)
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Over and over it is the word word word word, as it is... WRITTEN...word word word it is WRITTEN!

(Not shouting at you William, just emphasizing)

Isn't it spooky and supernatural that

God people SPEAK or READ the WORD and LISTEN and OBEY
The masses SING the blue book with no intention of OBEYING

Jesus warned that the masses OF the World will not like you and may hurt you.
Those who do not SPEAK "that which is written for our learning" has Christ saying of them THERE IS NO LIGHT IN THEM

"And Jehovah God made for Adam and for his wife coats of skins, and clothed them."

The garments supplied by God necessitated the slaying of animals, and some have concluded from this that the institution of animal sacrifices began here, but there is nothing in the text to support this. Bush thought the mention of Adam and Eve individually here indicated that God clothed them with two types of clothing, concluding that upon this is based "the prohibition in Deuteronomy 22:5 against the interchange of raiment between the sexes."[21](source: Coffman's Commentary)

The above is quoted from Coffman Commentary. Please note that this may not have been the source of the reference to "animal sacrifice" in the above post. Sorry for the mix-up. Someone (me) needs to go back to reading school.

Re: Dianna Howell: Is adding small details in Gods word false teaching?

Here are some clues:. What The Praise Sellers are Purpose Driven to research for what it is worth.

After Adam and Evel fell by being wholly seduced by the Serpent who was a musical enchanter(ess) in Bible Speak.

They tried to save themselves FIG LEAVES. Consuo also means "to devise a plan, forbid to speak, fill with something, to stuff. They created or fabricateed rituals.

God replaced their fig leaves fŏlĭum proverb of mobility or changeableness, a thing of no consequence, a trifle The Sibyl wrote her oracles on leaves (acc. to Varro, on palmleaves). They just made an APRON or GIRDLE.

God Himself gave them CLOTHING or a NEW EYESIGHT even though they were driven from the garden still inhabited by the Singing and Harp-Playing prostitute.

The reason Jesus Spoke in parables was God's HIDING from the wise or Sophists: speakers, singers or instrument players.
Jesus revealed the Father but only to His chosen disciples:

Matt. 13:35 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.

John 3:11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.
John 3:12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

ONLY those who GLADLY RECEIVED the WORD [Regulative Principle] wanted to be baptized because they were LOST SPIRIT who like Jesus were not OF the World for whom Jesus did not pray. He knew from the beginning.

Only those who are Baptized requesting the Remission of Sins were defacto left with A holy spirit-theirs agrees Walter Scott and Alexander Campbell.

Only those were CLOTHED with NEW garments which has the same meaning with being CLOTHED WITH CHRIST: we are enfolded in the spiritual SKIN of Jesus so we can come boldly before the throne without being executed by the Levites.

Gen. 3:21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.

Literal Clothing: is 3847.l labesh, law-bashe´; a primitive root; properly, wrap around, i.e. (by implication) to put on a garment or clothe (oneself, or another), literally or figuratively:—(in) apparel, arm, array (self), clothe (self), come upon, put (on, upon), wear.

Paul skips all of the Period of the Law and recalls the only Spiritual Covenant God in Christ made to Abraham. As Adam and Eve were clothed in a PARABLE or Prophetic Type, ONLY those who have faith meaning to COMPLY are clothed With Christ and are given A good conscience, consciousness or a CO-PERCEPTION so we and READ the Word.

We get a NEW VISION when we are RESKINNED with Jesus Christ Who was the Jewish Scape Goat which they musically mocked as the Serpent did in the Garden of Ede. He-she-it says Christ was the Singing and Harp-playing prostitute.

Gal. 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
Gal. 3:25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
Gal. 3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
Gal. 3:27 For [enim What I Mean is that] as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

Re: Dianna Howell: Is adding small details in Gods word false teaching?

Posted for Dianna: this is her grasp of Scripture we have discussed.

"The meaning of the word please includes things that give us pleasure. Any pleasurable acts are not to be used in the assembly, because we are there to teach one another so we can pass on the knowledge to others. When we go to school, the teacher does not sing to teach his material and neither did Jesus. He spoke the Word, as the Father delivered it to him. His example is what we are to follow! This is the only way we can have unity. Each mans opinion about scripture is not to be spoken in the assembly. During the week the people could discuss what they heard, and apply it to their lives. We honor our Heavenly Father by speaking his words. He talks to us through the scriptures, and we talk to him by going into our "closet" to pray. A son only speaks what he hears from his father. He doesn't deviate from the message he has been given, because the instructions can be corrupted and he can become lost. Jesus told us that there would be false teachers, who would slip in if we didn't hold faithful to the word.

Rom. 15:1 We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
Rom. 15:2 Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.

Self pleasure for profit begins with restoring the laded burden Jesus died to remove: Paul's word was:

700. aresko, ar-es´-ko; probably from 142 (through the idea of exciting emotion); to be agreeable (or by implication, to seek to be so): please.
A. pleasing, mostly in bad sense, obsequious, cringing,
II. areskos, ho, the staff borne by pornoboskoi [brothel keeper] on the stage,

2 Cor 2:17 For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.
Kapeleuo (g2585) kap-ale-yoo'-o; from kapelos , (a huckster); to retail, i.e. (by impl.) to adulterate (fig.): - corrupt
kapêl-euô ,A. to be a retail-dealer, drive a petty trade... kapêleu' drive a trade, chaffer with your vegetable food Hdt.1.155
II. c. acc., sell by retail, ton herpin Hippon.51 .

2. metaph., k. ta prêgmata, of Darius, Hdt.3.89; k. ta mathêmata sell learning by retail, hawk it about, 2 Ep.Cor.2.17 ; so eoiken ou kapêleusein machên will not peddle in war, i. e. fight half-heartedly, A.Th. 545; k. têi Chariti tên amoibên Epicur.Sent.Vat.39 ; k. tên politeian traffic in grants of citizenship, of prostitutes. ton bion playing tricks with life, [p. 876] corrupting it, AP9.180 (Pall.).

2 Corinthians 2:17 (KJV)

For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

2 Peter 2:1-2 (KJV)

But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. [2] And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

Luke 11:44-46,52 (KJV)

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are as graves which appear not, and the men that walk over them are not aware of them. [45] Then answered one of the lawyers, and said unto him, Master, thus saying thou reproachest us also. [46] And he said, Woe unto you also, ye lawyers! for ye lade men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers.

[52] Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.

Colossians 2:8 (KJV)

Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

John 12:48-50 (KJV)

He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. [49] For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. [50] And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

If we are in Christ, then as sons, we will speak what he spoke from the Father! This is how we show we are true sons, by honoring His words that he died to leave for us. We are obedient by baptizing for the remission of sin, following his commandments, and preach the gospel to others.

Acts 2:38 (KJV)

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

John 15:4 (KJV)

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

...........................THE BOOK

What Happened at the Madison Church of Christ?

There are thousands of churches being taken over across America.

This book is only about one of those churches. It's about the Madison Church Of Christ. By studying the methods used here along with the resource references you might be able to inoculate your church. At the very least you will recognize the signs early on.

Many of the current members of the Madison Church of Christ still don't know what happened.
Some never will know! This book is for them as well.

Madison Church of Christ was a 60 year old church. At one time it was one of the largest churches in the US, and the largest Church of Christ.

It thrived for many years on the vision of it's elders and those of it's ministers. Those visions undoubtably came from the the inspired word of Jesus Christ.

At sometime in the last 10 years there was a deliberate plan by a majority of the elders to take the Madison Church of Christ into a more worldly realm.

They used secrecy, covert planning, and outside sources to scheme and to change the format and direction of the Madison Church of Christ.

The Elders knew that the membership would never approve such a plan. Using the tools of the "Community Church Movement"(consultants, books, seminars, meetings, planters, seeders) they slowly started initiating change so it was never noticed by the members until it was too late.....

At the heart of the plan was the fact that old members were going to be driven off so new techniques could be used to go out and reach the unchurched through new "Contemporary Holy Entertainment" methods developed by the "Community Church Movement"

Old members had to be kept on board long enough to get their plans ready, or the funds would not be there to pay for the new building. So by the plans very nature, it had to be secret.

The church had no plan in effect to renew or approve elders. There was never any need. The elders had always been "as approved by God". 10 of the last 15 elders would begin to shed some doubt on that.

The Elders did not even need a majority at first, because some of the elders went along unwittingly.

This edition starts shortly after some of the members begin to smell something strange in January 2001. Later editions may go back and fill in some of the timeline.

To even start to understand whats happening here, you must read the background materials in the first of the book.

This is only the first edition, and not the end. New editions will be printed as needed. To keep abreast of current changes, please visit our web site;

Here is the list of players;

5 Godly Elders
10 Not so Godly Elders
120 "Deacons" (allegiance unknown)
2,800 - 4,000 church "members"
2 "teners" (people who have publicly confessed to have broken all ten commandments)
Unknown number of "sinners" (This is what the 10 elders call us.)
Unknown number of "demons" (Flying everywhere, to many to count)
