Millersville is silent on "music" so Rancor claims that their responses was:

Question: "Are we supposed to use musical instruments in church?"

Rancor is an "elder" but loves to post web pages of those who do not believe what I write. When people publish their list of beliefs which is a creed they should not be shy about defending them.

MillersVille's statements are in red: I, Ken Sublett, will comment because these are widely held views by most churches of Christ. The fact is that God did not command the King, Kingdom, the Civil government which rejected Theocracy, the slaughter of innocent animals and their HOLOCAUSE, Priests or the Levites who made terrorizing noise and not music. Nothing is lost by studying the Scriptures and commenting on any of my response.

Millersville's Answer: Musical instruments were definitely used in worship in the Old Testament Nehemiah 12:36;
Habakkuk 3:19; see also the introductions to Psalm 4:1; 6:1; 54:1; 55:1; 61:1; 67:1; 76:1)
.

NONE of these passages have anything to do with the Synagogue where worship was once a week reading of the Word. Paul commands the READING of the Psalms (about 57) in the BOOK named Psalms.

After the "Jews" fell into Instrumental-Trinitarian-perverted idolatry at Mount Stephen in Acts agrees with many Old Testament proofs that this was a sin beyond redemption and God sentenced them to captivity and death in Assyria and Babylon.

The Civil-Military-Clergy under the King and Commanders of the ARMY: There was never any instruments used for 'worship' by the Jews. The Jacob-Cursed and God-abandoned Levites stood guard at the gate to the sacrificial alter for goats and infants and the instrumental NOISE warned that any godly Jew who came NEAR would be executed.

The Civillian and Godly Classes:
They attended synagogue or The Church of Christ (the Rock) in the wilderness for hearing the word PREACHED by being READ once each REST day. Vocal or instrumental were outlawed.

Instruments were added by David as KING after God turned the nation over to to human kings and WASHED HIS HANDS.

There is no sacrificial music in HEROD'S TEMPLE in thee New Testament at the time of Jesus. No Jew attended Temple Slaughter and no Synagogue or Assembly ever had instrumental noise "making the lambs dumb before the slaughter."

Millersville's Answer: The fact that the New Testament nowhere condemns musical instruments indicates that the Old Testament practice was continued in the New Testament church

Matthew 27:29 And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head,
.....and a reed in his right hand:
.....and they bowed the knee before him,
.....and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!
Matthew 27:28 And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.
Matthew 27:31 And after that they had MOCKED him,
.....they took the robe off from him,
.....and put his own raiment on him,
.....and led him away to crucify him.

Mock is: Paizo dance, play a game, 4. play on a musical instrument, h.Ap.206: c. acc., Pan ho kalamo phthongapaizôn [played on a reed]Ar.Ra.230 ; dance and sing, Pi. O.1.16.5. play amorously, prosallêlous X.Smp.9.2 ; metatinosLXX Ge.26.8 ; of mares, Arist.HA572a30.

And many other New Testament warnings about Play or Mocking which is singing or making any kind of musical noise while SPEAKING Christ's Word FORHim.

Millersville's Answer:The early church was comprised almost entirely of Jews. It is highly likely that they continued using musical instruments in the church, just as they did in Old Testament worship.

The Jews who had any interest in the Word of God and many Gentiles attended SYNAGOGUE or CHURCH. All hypocritic arts such as speakers for hire, singers or instruments were silenced by COMMAND in the Old Testament and by common decency when listening to the WORD, Logos or Regulative Principle which outlaws preaching for hire, singers or instrument players.

Millersville's Answer:So, even without an explicit New Testament reference, it is clear the church can use musical instruments in its worship.

The Sabbath or Rest and the Christian Assembly is defined as A SCHOOL OF CHRIST when the elders Teach that which has been taught." The assembly is never a WORSHIP OBSERVATION to which Jesus says "the kingdom does not come."

Because the preacher is hired as Bible Literate we can label that as a lie. There are many New Testaments condemning instruments. This was outlawed but prophesied of the work of JUDAS who blows the flute.

2 Peter 2:12 But these, as natural [instinctive] brute [Anti-Logical] brute beasts, [Zoon, Zao, Zoe]
.....made to be taken and destroyed,
.....speak evil of the things that they understand not; [through lack of knowledge]
.....and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;

Corruption: G5356 phthora fthor-ah' From G5351 ; decay, that is, ruin (spontaneous or inflicted, literally or figuratively):--plague take thee! away with thee, corruption, destroy, perish. deprave Phtheiro b. with a Prep., luroidou, lur-aoidos
.....A.one who sings to the lyre, harmonia meaning: In music, stringing, of bows and lyres,
.....musical scale, generally music:
.....rhythm, acting, dancing.hudr-aulês one who plays the water organ

Paul did not CORRUPT the WORD (the only resource) which means "Selling learning at retail" which is defined by the Greeks as prostituting the Civil duty of teaching the next generation.

Millersville's Answer:However, there is a clear New Testament reference to musical instruments. Ephesians 5:19 declares, "speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord."

He believes that Paul commanded SINGING Psalms. Paul commanded SPEAKING the Biblical text. ODE and PSALLO are IN the heart or silent so that we can TEACH.

SPEAK and the WORD or LOGOS is the opposite of ODE.

Millersville's Answer: The phrase "making melody" comes from the Greek word "psallontes" which means "to rub or touch," "to twitch or twang." It was commonly used in Greek to refer to playing a stringed musical instrument

NEVER TRUE IN RECORDED HISTORY.

Eph. 5:19 SPEAKING to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

Melody is PSALLO which is never MUSICAL melody which is the Greek MELOS. It would sound silly to command MAKING SINGING AND PLAYING A HARP.

Making MELODY IN the heart is the opposite of Making Melody With a Harp. The instrument MUST be named.

Is. 23:16 Take an HARP, go about the city, thou HARP that hast been forgotten; MAKE sweet MELODY, sing many songs, that thou mayest be remembered.

Millersville's Answer: Whatever the case, the Bible neither forbids or commands the use of musical instruments in church.

Millersville's Answer: Therefore, the church has freedom to use them if it FEELS LED of God to do so.

Jesus commanded that we teach what He commanded to be taught UNTIL HE RETURNS. If you hear a CALL to add instruments or any kind of performance music the only personified SPIRIT is Apollon and He is the leader of the LOCUSTS which disciples know to be his MUSICAL WORSHIP TEAM. The goal of any kind of music is to MAKE THE LAMBS DUMB BEFORE THE SLAUGHTER.

Rancor posted this on another thread. This topic is a favorite on many forums run by people unable to read beyond proof texts.

Ephesians 2:8 says, “For by grace are you saved, through faith, and that not of yourselves.” The only way any of us can enter into a relationship with God is because of His grace toward us. Grace began in the Garden of Eden when God killed an animal to cover the sin of Adam and Eve (Genesis 3:21). He could have killed the first humans right then for their disobedience. But rather than destroy them, He chose to make a way for them to be right with Him. That pattern of grace continued throughout the Old Testament when God instituted blood sacrifices as a means to atone for sinful men. It was not the physical blood of those sacrifices, per se, that cleansed sinners; it was the grace of God that forgave those who trusted in Him (Hebrews 10:4; Genesis 15:6). Sinful men showed their faith by offering the sacrifices that God required.

The term SAVED or SALVATION demands that you ask a simple question: SAVED FROM WHAT?

Jesus would expect His disciples to back up at least to the first verse.

THE FALSE DOCTRINE ACCEPTED ALMOST UNIVERSALLY:

Eph. 2:7 That in the ages to come he might SHOW the exceeding riches of his grace
.....in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
Eph. 2:8 For BY grace are ye saved THROUGH faith;
.....and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph. 2:9 Not of WORKS, lest any man should boast.

WHEN READING EPHESIANS 2:8 IT IS IMPORTANT TO ASK "SAVED OR BE MADE SAFE FROM WHAT?"

The World or Kosmos or ecumenical is the kingdom of the Devil. Jesus did not pray for the WORLD and said that neither HE nor those who obey Him are OF the World. Only a FEW have any interest in the SPIRITUAL realm: Paul said of God: IN HIM we live, move and have our being. The Athenians could never grasp the Spirit world while being consumed with. their own "worship rituals." Peter said BAPTISM SAVES because we REQUEST by Jesus' invitation for A good conscience or consciousness to be able to read Ephesians 1f before having tunnel vision over 2:8..

Paul speaks of obeying Christ to "save ourselves from this crooked race." We can't swim a thousand miles but we can save ourselves by graciously entering into a passing ship.

GRACE teaches and FAITH or Pistis includes COMPLY.

Eph. 2:1 And you hath he quickened, [giving A holy spirit like an infant]
.....who were dead in trespasses and sins;
Eph. 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this WORLD,
.....according to the prince of the power of the air,
.....the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
Eph. 2:3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh,
.....fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind;
.....and were by nature [our practices] the children of wrath, even as others.
Eph. 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
Eph. 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins,
.....hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
Eph. 2:6 And hath raised us up together,
.....and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

Those who OBEY and are baptized are added by Christ to His spiritual kingdom

Col. 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness,
.....and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

Eph. 2:7 That in the ages to come he might SHOW the exceeding riches of his grace
in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
Eph. 2:8 For BY grace are ye saved THROUGH faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph. 2:9 Not of WORKS, lest any man should boast.

Jesus was/is God's personified Grace

Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath APPEARED to all men,
Titus 2:12 TEACHING us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts,
we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
Titus 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
Titus 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he
might redeem us from all iniquity,
and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

OBEYING the TYPE of Jesus pattern. A TUPOS is a 'Pattern intended to be imitated.' By Grace Through Faith those ACCEPT the free gift are THEN free from Sin.

Rom. 6:17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin,
but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
Rom. 6:18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

MOST of what we call "christianism" is REALLY HARD WORK trying to substitute and prevent people from accepting GRACE which is FREE and cannot be sold or bought. That was the message of the Athenians addicted for looking for love in all the wrong places. Isaiah 55.

Re: Salvation by Grace Through Faith

October 8 2017, 9:47 PM

I go to a FAITH CHURCH
October 8 2017, 9:23 PM

This will work:

WHAT WE BELIEVE

GOD

We believe there is one God, manifested in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is the Creator of all things and the Ruler of the Universe (Philippians 2:6; Matthew 3:16-17; John 10:30).

JESUS CHRIST

We believe Jesus Christ is alive. He is Son of God, and He existed before the beginning, came to earth through a virgin birth, fully God and fully man. He was crucified and He rose again three days later, providing salvation for all mankind. (John 1:1; Isaiah 9:6, Acts 1:9-11).

THE SCRIPTURES

We believe the Bible is the inspired infallible Word of God. It is our final authority in determining what we believe, what we practice and how we live (2 Tim. 3:16; I Thess. 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21).

THE CHURCH

We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ. We believe the church is not a physical building, but is made up of the universal body of baptized believers.. (1 Corinthians 6:15; 2 Corinthians 1:1; Romans 16:5; 1 Peter 2:4-5; Ephesians 2:19-22; 1 Corinthians 12:12-31; Romans 12:4-5; Ephesians 4:11-16.)

SALVATION

We believe that because of sin, all men are separated from God and in need of salvation. The free gift of salvation is made possible through Jesus Christ, His death on the cross, and His resurrection from the dead. Salvation is available to all, received by grace through obedient faith. (Rom. 3:23, 2 Cor. 7:10; 1 John 5:12; John 3:3-5)

WATER BAPTISM

Jesus commanded that His followers be baptized in water as their identification with His death, burial and resurrection. We believe that when a person is water baptized, it symbolizes the passing away of their old life and the beginning of their new life in Christ and is essential in the salvation process being FOR the remission of sin (Romans 6:3-4; Acts 2:38; Acts 8: 36-39; Colossians 2: 9-13, Gal 3:27

THE LORD’S SUPPER

We believe the Lord’s Supper was established to represent the new covenant between God and His people. Jesus died and his body was broken and blood shed in order that we may enter into covenant with God. The body being broken is represented by the bread at the communion table and the blood shed is represented by the fruit of the vine (juice). We believe that this is to be done every first day of the week as according to Acts 20:7 (Luke 22: 19-20; 1 Corinthians 11: 23-30).

THE GREAT COMMISSION

We believe it is the mission of the church to advance the kingdom of God by making disciples of all nations through the preaching and teaching of the Gospel of Christ. It is the responsibility of every believer to carry out the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 16-20; Acts 1:8).

HOW DOES A PERSON JOIN THE CHURCH OF CHRIST?

By simply becoming a Christian. Just as in the New Testament, we have no special rules for joining our fellowship and no votes are taken to screen potential members. When one accepts and obeys the gospel, Christ adds him or her to the universal, worldwide church (Acts 2:47), and then that believer joins a local group of disciples to continue his or her growth and service to Jesus (Acts 10:26).

Rancor etal: GOD

God is not as dumb as people make Him out to be. He would have been smart enough to say: "Jesus WAS God" because A Spirit hath not flesh and bones and probably has no form with boundaries which would LIMIT HIM."

Millersville Church of Christ Creed

October 9 2017, 1:53 PM

Millersville Church of Christ is used or misused to defend Salvation by grace through faith. Ephesians 2:8. Writing creeds are often dangerous when they tamper with clear statements that BAPTISM SAVES US.

Because Millersville Church of Christ continues to say WATER BAPTISM

Jesus commanded that His followers be baptized in water as their identification with His death, burial and resurrection. We believe that when a person is water baptized, it symbolizes the passing away of their old life and the beginning of their new.

That is false: The Death, Burial and Resurrection where Jesus became the FIRST BEGOTTEN from the dead. That FORM of Doctrine is the Greek TUPOS which is a "Pattern intended to be imitated." When people OBEY that pattern gracefully provided they are THEN free from sin.

THIS ALLOWS RANCOR TO UNDERSTAND:

Missing Romans 3:21 always fails to understand that THE LAW is opposite of FAITH, GOSPEL OR SPIRIT or THE FAITH OF JESUS CHRIST.

Rom. 3:21 But now the righteousness of God WITHOUT THE LAW is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
Rom. 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith OF Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
Rom. 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Rom. 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Romans 6 would have been a more faithful teaching speaking of baptism:

Rom. 6:17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
Rom. 6:18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

SECOND EXAMPLE
2Cor. 7:10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

Paul is not speaking to UNSAVED people

THIRD EXAMPLE
1John 5:12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

Earlier John wrote:
1John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
1John 5:5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

[Jesus was NOT God so Trinitarians are still in their sins. Speaking of Baptism:

1John 5:6 This is he that came [accompany, appear] by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit IS TRUTH

Spirit or breath which produces WORDS is NOT another God:

John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the WORDS that I speak unto you, they are SPIRIT, and they are life.

Re: Millersville Church of Christ Creed

October 9 2017, 9:34 PM

Does the Millersville Church of Christ use instruments?

Question: "What is salvation? What is the Christian doctrine of salvation?"

Answer: Salvation is deliverance from danger or suffering. To save is to deliver or protect. The word carries the idea of victory, health, or preservation. Sometimes, the Bible uses the words saved or salvation to refer to temporal, physical deliverance, such as Paul’s deliverance from prison (Philippians 1:19).

Re: Millersville Church of Christ Creed

October 9 2017, 9:52 PM

Saved or Salvation DEMANDS that we ask the question, SAVED FROM WHAT?

Phil. 1:16 The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:
Phil. 1:17 But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.
Phil. 1:18 What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, CHRIST IS PREACHED and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.
Phil. 1:19 For I know that THIS shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,
Phil. 1:20 According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.

Paul understood that an evangelists GOES into the world to suffer and die. His ultimate salvation depended on His not IGNORING THE RULES WHEN RUNNING THE HARD RACE.

1Cor. 9:27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

g96. adokimos, ad-ok´-ee-mos; from 1 (as a negative particle) and 1384; unapproved, i.e. rejected; by implication, worthless (literally or morally): — castaway, rejected, reprobate.

Jesus said that His Assembly would be the WAY that is called a SECT: it is a road or PATTERN and close to zero can find the narrow gate HIDDEN by all of the religious antics.

Heb. 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

g1567. ekzeteo, ek-zay-teh´-o; from 1537 and 2212; to search out, i.e. (figuratively)investigate, crave, demand, (by Hebraism) worship: — en- (re-)quire, seek after (carefully, diligently).

SALVATION for those lost spirits God ordained Jesus to seek out is to be SAVED FROM THIS CROOKED RACE.

SORRY, BUT AS PROPHESIED, YOU PROBABLY CANNOT FIND A SAFE HOUSE FOR GOD TO PARK YOUR SPIRIT.

Their Response

October 10 2017, 10:05 AM

Millersville is silent on "music" so Rancor claims that their responses was:

Question: "Are we supposed to use musical instruments in church?"

Answer: Musical instruments were definitely used in worship in the Old Testament (1 Chronicles 15:16; 16:42; 23:5; 2 Chronicles 7:6; 23:13; 29:26-27; 30:21; 34:12; Nehemiah 12:36; Isaiah 38:20; Amos 6:5; Habakkuk 3:19; see also the introductions to Psalm 4:1; 6:1; 54:1; 55:1; 61:1; 67:1; 76:1). The fact that the New Testament nowhere condemns musical instruments indicates that the Old Testament practice was continued in the New Testament church. The early church was comprised almost entirely of Jews. It is highly likely that they continued using musical instruments in the church, just as they did in Old Testament worship.

So, even without an explicit New Testament reference, it is clear the church can use musical instruments in its worship. However, there is a clear New Testament reference to musical instruments. Ephesians 5:19 declares, "speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord." The phrase "making melody" comes from the Greek word "psallontes" which means "to rub or touch," "to twitch or twang." It was commonly used in Greek to refer to playing a stringed musical instrument. Whatever the case, the Bible neither forbids or commands the use of musical instruments in church. Therefore, the church has freedom to use them if it feels led of God to do so.

Millersville missed Card Class Slow ones of the slow group

October 10 2017, 10:31 AM

We still cannot use the APPROVE function so I have reposted.

This answer proved my claim that because there is no ROLE nor DOLE for PREACHER, The delusion plague will not let them read the text beyond the SERMON OUTLINE HANDOUT.

If you say:

Musical instruments were definitely used in worship in the Old Testament

And that is NEVER true because the "church or synagogue" was quarantined.
Then the DESPISE or BLASPHEME word is a millstone.

The phrase "making melody" comes from the Greek word "psallontes" which means "to rub or touch," "to twitch or twang." It was commonly used in Greek to refer to playing a stringed musical instrument.

That is false:
Psallo means to pluck or smite SOMETHING.
It is derived from APOLLON plucking his bow to kill you or plucking his lyre to "shoot forth love arrows" into his male or females who were compliant.

http://www.piney.com/O.E.Payne.Psallo.and.Instrumental.Music.Fallacy.html

If you pluck a STRINGED INSTRUMENT it demands the FINGER and excludes the PLECTRUM.
Psallo is NEVER a "musical melody" word and so Paul commanded:

SPEAK the Biblical text to TEACH
ODE and PSALLO in the heart meaning SILENT.

The Greek word for Musical Melody is MELOS which means to "cut something limb from limb." The Jews cut the BIBLE TEXT into syllables so that they could be CANTILLATED in order to make TEACHING easier to hear in an audience.

Psallo allows SMITING a harp string ONLY WITH YOUR FINGERS. That makes a "sound" but not music UNLESS you define a TUNEFUL MELODY which didn't exist until the 19th century.

HERE ARE TWO EXAMPLES OF MUSICAL MELODY: it takes three words to SING and PLAY and NAMED INSTRUMET.

Is. 23:15 And it shall come to pass in that day, that Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king: after the end of seventy years shall Tyre sing as an harlot.
Is. 23:16 Take an [1] harp, go about the city, thou harlot that hast been forgotten; make sweet [2] melody, sing many [3] songs, that thou mayest be remembered.

Amos 5:23 Take thou away from me the noise of thy [1] songs; for I will not hear the [2] melody of thy [3]viols.
Amos 5:24 But [INSTEAD] let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.

Bible 101

October 10 2017, 1:32 PM

It is astounding if prophesied that People can read Acts 7 and say that God COMMANDED musical instruments in approved worship.

Stephen was murdered as faithful WORD speakers are always hated because He debunked the entire period beginning with the Instrumental-Trinitarian-Perverted idolatry at MountSinai.

God sentenced them to DEATH in the wilderness and future captivity and death.

God gave the LAW to protect the weak from the God-Cursed Civil-Military-Clergy who would be abandoned to WORSHIP THE STARRY HOST.

When sinning David was so afraid of God that he could never again go to Gibeon to enquire of God. David's messages came from Gad a STARGAZER

God permitted David to build a tent on Mount Zion.
However, Solomon built God a HOUSE which God never commanded.
However, God does not live in houses or churches built by HUMAN HANDS nor is He worshipped by the WORKS of Human hands. The Word or Logos is the REGULATIVE PRINCIPLE and it oulaws preaching for pay, singers, instrument players or Actors.

The Godly people were quarantined to their very isolated area and never went to Jerusalem for a "worship service." Exodus 18 defined the SCHOOL OF THE WORD before the nobility fell into musical idolatry:

[linked image]

INSTRUMENTS were always connected with making war, prostitution or BURNING

Here is a picture of the PATTERN for burning GOATS or INFANTS which most preachers defend.

Judaizing churches have fallen from grace

October 10 2017, 4:42 PM

Jesus defined Holy Scripture as the prophets and parts of the Law and Psalms CONCERNING ME. The Scribes of the unlawful kings is a record of a CARNAL STATE which had been abandoned behind city gates which were off limits to the Godly people who attended the Church of Christ (the Rock) from the wilderness onward.

A Church of Christ is NOT built upon the Monarchy which was abandoned.

Eph. 2:20 And are built upon [EDUCATED] the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

Is. 28:14 ¶ Wherefore hear the word of the Lord, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.
Is. 28:15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:
Is. 28:16 Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.

Re: Judaizing churches have fallen from grace

October 13 2017, 12:40 PM

Millersville Answer: Musical instruments were definitely used in worship in the Old Testament Nehemiah 12:36;

I will respond to the NEHEMIAH AUTHORITY: After the Return they Jews plannedd a pitiful temple and made so much INSTRUMENTAL NOISE that the natives understood it as a THREAT and delayed the temple for 16 years. It was quickly deserted and the sacrificial system disappeared for a hundred years and effectively for 400 years.

Worship means to fall on your face like a cringing dog IF you have even a tiny grasp of GOD.

Those DEFENDING the Cursed Levites always appeal to the God-Abanded to PROVE that God commanded and never said anything bad so WE could use instruments if A SPIRIT told us to.

[linked image]

SHILOH means REST FROM whatever the cursed Levites would impose to LEAD THE NATION into idolatry and destruction. This was the synagogue or Church of Christ (the Rock) which existed for the godly people until Jesus came to DESTROY the Civil-Military-Clergy oppressors and give REST in this NEW CREATION to protect the little flock from those doomed for FIRE.

If Jacob Cursed the Levites and commanded that people not attend their synagoguess nor enter into covenant with them, WHY would men arise Purpose Driven to subvert the SCHOOL OF CHRIST to a center for Religious OBSERVATIONS when Jesus said that HIS kingdom does not come with observation.

The godly people 'worshipped' by RESTING on the Sabbath (REST) day where WORK outlaws even sending our "messengers of God." Sabbath was for refreshing as SCHOOL of the Word of God only.

Num. 18:23 But the Levites shall do the SERVICE [Abaddon word] of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they shall bear their iniquity:
it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations, that among the children of Israel they have no inheritance.

The swords and instruments of the Levites were NOT for worship but to warn the godly people NOT TO COME NEAR or they would be executed.

God gave Kings in His Anger after the ELDERS rejected God abandoned the Civil-Military-Clergy to worship the starry host including APOLLON who is the father of the Musical Team.

Ezekiel which is never studied in church repudiates the HYPOCRITES as speakers, singers or instrument players. The Jacob-Cursed and God-Abandoned Levites STOOD GUARD to execute any "preacher" who came near the sacrificial system.

Beginning in Ezekiel 44 the Spirit OF Christ defines an idealized temple

Ezek. 44:10 And the Levites that are gone away far from me, when Israel went astray, which went astray away from me after their idols; they shall even bear their iniquity.

INSTEAD:

Ezek. 48:11 It shall be for the priests that are sanctified of the sons of ZADOK; which have kept my charge, which went not astray when the children of Israel went astray, as the Levites went astray.

Neh 12:23 The sons of Levi, the chief of the fathers, were written in the book of the even until the days of Johanan the son of Eliashib.
Neh 12:24 And the chief of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel, with their brethren over against them, to praise and to give thanks, according to the commandment of DAVID the man of God, ward over against ward.

It was David the King over the COMMANDERS OF THE ARMY and NOT God who commanded the instruments.

More later

Re: Milllersville Church of Christ: Defends Instrumental Apostasy

Jesus said of those who SPEAK His Words (only) as He spoke only what the Father breathed (spirit) and He Spoke and had Recorded "for our memory" would be hated. That is why only the very brave and courageous can as commanded of APT elders "teach that which has been taught" KNOWING that their families will give you trouble because they know--deep down inside--that they cannot tolerate being a rare "pilgrim and sojourner" in the World, Kosmos, Ecumenical or the kingdom of the Devil. Jesus said that He does not pray for them and God HIDES from the wise or Sophists: speakers for sale, singers, instrument players, or "collectors of shekals" which will NOT be in the kingdom of Christ.

Re: Milllersville Church of Christ: Defends Instrumental Apostasy

October 14 2017, 3:20 PM

John 1:1 In the beginning was the WORD,
.....and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:2 The same was in the beginning WITH God.
John 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

.........Psa. 33:4 For the WORD of the LORD is right; and all his WORKS are done in truth.
.........Psa. 33:5 He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.
.........Psa. 33:6 By the [1] WORD of the LORD were the heavens made;
.........and all the host of them
.............by the [2] BREATH
.............of his [3] MOUTH.

John 1:4 In him was LIGHT; and the LIFE was the light of men.
John 1:5 ¶ And the LIGHT shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
John 1:6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
John 1:7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
John 1:8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
John 1:9 That was the true LIGHT, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
John 1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
John 1:13 Which were BORN, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

God is the WORD in the same class with GOD IS LIGHT, Grace or Righteousness.
John didn't say that GOD WAS MADE FLESH but His WORD was made flesh when it was SPOKEN.
Jesus said that God is SPIRIT and a spirit does not have flesh and bones.

Luke 24:39 BEHOLD my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and SEE;
.....for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

Those who say that Jesus WAS God or was BOTH God and MAN make no sense.

1John 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not
.....that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God:
.....and this is that spirit of antichrist,
.....whereof ye have heard that it should come;
.....and even now already is it in the world.

2John 7 For many deceivers are entered into the world,
.....who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh.
.....This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

John wrote many decades later than Jesus and Gnosticism as the Synagogue of Satan was the Jews trying to prove that they were rejected along with Greek theology who, like all pagans, taught that God was a FAMILY of father, mother (spirit) and infant son. John uses the WORD or LOGOS to contradict the ancient and modern view that Mercury, Kairos or Hermes (hermeneutic) was the mediator between man and their gods: He was also the inventor of Apollon's harp and who was the leader of the Locusts or Musical Worship Bad girls. He was the god of commerce, thieves and liars.

As ANTITHESIS, Jesus who was neither LORD NOR CHRIST until He was the First Begotten FROM THE DEAD. The Logos is defined as the Regulative Principle again debunking Hermes by outlawing personal opinions, personal. experiences, rhetoric, singers, instrument players or actors.

Now, read carefully and understand that John does not say that the Lord [YHWH] God [ELOHIM] was made flesh because God said that He is not a MAN nor the Son of Man. Jesus said that He was a man and the Son of Man. Therefore, in no sense is Jesus God. That God is three persons or people was invented by Lipscomb University in 11938.

John 1:14 And the WORD was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his GLORY,
.....the glory as of the only BEGOTTEN of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

So, John said that Jesus is the ONLY BEGOTTEN Son of a Father. The father BREATHED (spirit is not a people) and Jesus articulated God's Word and never spoke OF HIS OWN.

That is why the first to use the TRIAS word said that the WORD of God is His SON. "God always had His Word, Wisdom, Breath with Him" so that if you could venture to say that God BEGAN to speak that is when the SON was eternally begotten. The Word is one of the MANY descriptors of God but IT was not a "god person equal with two other gods."

John 1:15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake,
.....He that cometh AFTER me
.....is PREFERRED before me:
.....for he was BEFORE me.
John 1:16 And of his FULNESS have all we received, and GRACE for grace.
John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses,
.....but GRACE and TRUTH came by Jesus Christ.
John 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only BEGOTTEN SON,
.....which is in the bosom of the Father,
.....he hath DECLARED him.

The Son DECLARED the WORD of the FATHER which is spelled W.O.R.D. and as a person appliies only to HERMES as the source of the New Hermeneutic which DENIES that God through Jesus supplied ALL that applies to life and godliness.

HERE IS WHY YOU PROBABLY ARE NOT ATTENDING A CHURCH OF CHRIST WHO IS THE ONLY TEACHER.

John 7:18 He that speaketh of himself SEEKETH HIS OWN GLORY
.....but he that seeketh his glory that sent him,
.....the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.

Jesus says of those who fabricate their OWN songs and sermons that they are UNRIGHTEOUS.
Ephesians 4 says of the cunning craftsmen or SOPHISTS: speakers for sale, singers, instrument players that THEY ARE LYING IN WAIT TO DECEIVE.

The SOP marked Judas as a son of perdition and PSALLO which was invented as authority about 1878 has the same effect as SOP and is to mark those who do NOT SPEAK that which is written for our learning. Sabbath or REST affirmed by the Campbells makes Church no more than A SCHOOL OF CHRIST.

In Isaiah 58 the REST Messiah brought us OUTLAWS seeking your own pleasure or SPEAKING YOUR OWN WORDS.
Of those who do NOT speak the WORD, the Spirit OF Christ says that THERE IS NO LIGHT IN HIM>

John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do.
.....He was a murderer from the beginning,
.....and abode not in the truth,
.....because there is no truth in him.
.....When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own:
.....for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Jesus was acknowledged as a Son of a Father after he was baptized. However, as the CREATOR of the last world (AGE) He was not the only begotten FROM THE DEAD at his resurrection to begin His creation on the day of Pentecost. It was Jesus Christ in His glorified state and returned to the upper room, as promised, with the PROMISE of Holy Spirit which means the Evangelistic Office of HOLY SPIRIT. HE poured out what they SAW and HEARD. Therefore, He was not The Son of God with POWER until after His resurrection. That means that He was not GOD in the flesh or MAN-GOD in the flesh.

I'm somewhat confused as to who initiated this thread??? Rancor appears to be the author ("originator" or "inventor"), is he? Did Rancor request this to be posted for him? Just wondering.

(We're still having issues with publishing posts, and we haven't heard from Network54 about any resolution.)

Millersville Church of Christ What we believe.

October 14 2017, 4:01 PM

Rancor is always dredging up a True Church of Christ to repudiate us. Millersville, "creed" to aid your input and which Rancor published was:

http://millersvillechurch.com/what-we-believe/

I began to discuss their statement about baptism being a symbol.

Rancor asked whether they believed in instrumental music since their statement omits it. I didn't know so Rancor "claims" that he asked and received this statement.

I returned to the original statement in RED which Rancor posted and then did my brief summary rebuttal of each statement.

So, it is RANCOR'S Post as modified by KEN.

The editing thing at CM is really bad: I couldn't log in to give them another ping. Maybe you should hit them every day or so? We have been missing you.

Re: Milllersville Church of Christ: Defends Instrumental Apostasy

October 14 2017, 8:57 PM

Rancor and all of the NOT APT elders and Static Evangelists love to make fun of the STEPS leading to salvation or the Remission of sins. Paul listed them all in Romans 10 but the faith-onlys can only READ one or two verses.

Paul writes a commentary on the good, bad and ugly in the Old Testament. The sin beyond redemption was Instrumental-Trinitarian-Perverted Idolatry "send back across the sea" to get their Egyptian gods and worship.

One folly is people claiming to "travel back to the time of Jesus to understand what He REALLY TAUGHT. Close to all send back to Babylon and the religion of the Mother of Harlots (including Jerusalem): she uses effeminate speakers, singers or instrument players. John called them SORCERERS and says as Isaiah 30 prophesied CAST THEM ALIVE INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE.

When the people refused to hear the voice of God, they were made blind and deaf and fell into idolatry at Mount Sinai. Moses promised ANOTHER PROPHET LIKE ME whom the people WOULD hear.

Deut 30: 11 For this commandment which I command thee this day,
.....it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.
Deut 30: 12 It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say,
.....Who shall go up for us to heaven,
.....and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
Deut 30: 13 Neither is it beyond the sea,
.....that thou shouldest say,
.....Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto US,
.....that we may HEAR it, and DO it?
Deut 30: 14 But the word is very nigh unto thee,
.....in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

The LAW commanded that the godly people remain in their isolated settlements where refreshing would be to listen to the Word PREACHED by being READ. That excluded vocal or instrumental rejoicing. The Law of Moses did not authorize a king or any kind of INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC.

Proving that there is no such distinction between Jew and Gentile Paul repeats Moses for those who were or would fall back to the music-induced perversion and idolatry.

Remember, that the Purpose Driving any kind of performance music and especially "musical worship teams" is CLAIMED to 1)Bring Christ into your presence or 2) lift the AUDIENCE into the presence of God.

Romans 10:5 For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law,
.....That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.

Romans 10:6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise,
.....Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (
.....that is, to bring Christ down from above:)

Rom. 10:7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep?
.....(that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)

Rom 10:8 But what saith it?
.....The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth,
.....and in thy heart: that is,
.....the word of FAITH, [rhema or spoken LOGOS: the Regulative Principle]
.....which we PREACH;

There are many passages such as the self-pleasure in Romans 15 which SILENCES music or any performance arts and crafts always defined as PARASITIC.

DEFINING THE MEANING OF THE SERPENT:

"The Hebrew verb means to dance to music, vocal and instrumental. See Judges 19:2, 1 Chron. 13:8)" (Cook) "This was playing before the ark, as it slowly made progress; that is, there were evolutions and marching figures and religious dances. There was music, vocal and instrumental." (Beecher, quoted in Peloubet's Selects Notes, 1903, p. 269-270).

Of this use of music and dance to induce ecstasy one writer said:

"And the people celebrated this feast with burnt-offerings and thank-offerings, with eating and drinking, i.e. with sacrificial meals and sports, or with loud rejoicing, shouting, antiphonal songs, and dances, in the same manner in which the Egyptians celebrated their feast of Apis (Herod. 2, 60, and 3, 27)." (Keil and Delitzsch, Vol. II, p. 222).

Not to be overlooked here is the accompaniment of music and dancing which, with the character of the ensuing phenomena, makes the diagnosis (of idolatry) certain." (Schaff-Herzog, Ecstasy, p. 71).

"The triumphal hymn of Moses had unquestionably a religious character about it; but the employment of music in religious services, though idolatrous, is more distinctly marked in the festivities which attended the erection of the golden calf." (Smith's Bible Dictionary, Music, p. 589).

This was a SIN BEYOND REDEMPTION and the people wandered until all of the older generation died and did not enter into the promised land. While they were wandering for 40 years they continued to worship Moloch by using loud music to silence the HOLOCAUST of Goats or infants.

Here is a picture of those claiming that God leads them into instrumental noise because He COMMANDED it under the law: that is a lie.

[linked image]

The Spirit OF Christ promises that God will drive HIS ENEMIES INTO HELL using these same instruments which "Lucifer the singing and harp-playing prostitute" brought with him/her/it into the garden of Eden.

SAYING THAT MUSICAL MACHINES IN THE REVERENT WORSHIP OF GOD IS PROBABLY INTENTIONALLY SPREADING HATRED TO THOSE WHO HAVE NEVER VIOLATED THE DIRECT COMMAND FROM THE WILDERNESS ONWARD.

THE FIRST STEP LEADING TO SALVATION IS BEAUTIFUL FEET WHO GO AND PREACH WHAT JESUS COMMANDED: THAT EXCLUDES SONGS OR SERMONS.

Pi.N.7.81 Pindar, Nemean Odes 7

[9] For he lives in a city that loves music, the city of the Aeacidae with their clashing spears; [10] and they very much want to foster a spirit familiar with contests.

If someone is successful in his deeds,
.....he casts a cause for sweet thoughts into the streams of the Muses.
.....For those great acts of prowess dwell in deep darkness,
.....if they lack songs,
.....and we know of only one way to hold a mirror up to fine deeds

[15] if, by the grace of Mnemosyne with her splendid headdress,
.....one finds a recompense for toils in glorious song.
[17] Skillful men know the wind that will come on the day after tomorrow,
.....and they do not suffer loss through the love of gain.
The rich man and the poor man alike travel together to the boundary of death.
[20] And I expect that the story of Odysseus came to exceed his experiences,
.....through the sweet songs of Homer,
.....[22] since there is a certain solemnity in his lies
.....and winged artfulness,
.....and poetic skill deceives,
.....seducing us with stories,
.....and the heart of the mass of men is blind.

May the rest of my days approach benevolently. Anyone who knows the truth will declare whether I follow a path that is out of tune, singing a twisted5 song.

[70] Sogenes, of the Euxenid clan, I swear that I did not overstep the line when I hurled,
.....like a bronze-cheeked javelin,
.....my swift tongue—a throw that disqualifies
.....a man's strong neck from the sweat of the wrestling-match,
.....before his limbs fall under the burning sun

The tabulation of musical passages "contains a rather disproportionate number of metaphorical sentences, where music or its instruments are not to be understood literally but are used as similies or rhetorical figures. The most celebrated of these poetical passages is Paul's glorification of love in I Cor. 13." (Interpreter's Dict of the Bible, Music, p. 466).

Psalmos also appears in the LXX as equivalent to the Hebrew word neginah. This Hebrew term is used to describe a wide variety of songs. Neginah is translated by psalmos in Lam 3:14 (song), in Lam 5:14 (music) and in Ps 69:12 (song). It is striking to observe that in the LXX translation of Lam 3:14 and Ps 69:12, psalmos, or its verbal form, is used for songs that are not only uninspired but are in fact the product of the wicked, even drunkards, who mocked God and His word. The Hebrew term neginah is used elsewhere in the Hebrew Scriptures of: the songs of the wicked, Job 30:9 (song); the inspired praise of God, Psalm 61 title (Neginah-a song performed on a stringed instrument); and the uninspired praise of the Lord composed by King Hezekiah, Is 38:20 (my songs).

...........................THE BOOK

What Happened at the Madison Church of Christ?

There are thousands of churches being taken over across America.

This book is only about one of those churches. It's about the Madison Church Of Christ. By studying the methods used here along with the resource references you might be able to inoculate your church. At the very least you will recognize the signs early on.

Many of the current members of the Madison Church of Christ still don't know what happened.
Some never will know! This book is for them as well.

Madison Church of Christ was a 60 year old church. At one time it was one of the largest churches in the US, and the largest Church of Christ.

It thrived for many years on the vision of it's elders and those of it's ministers. Those visions undoubtably came from the the inspired word of Jesus Christ.

At sometime in the last 10 years there was a deliberate plan by a majority of the elders to take the Madison Church of Christ into a more worldly realm.

They used secrecy, covert planning, and outside sources to scheme and to change the format and direction of the Madison Church of Christ.

The Elders knew that the membership would never approve such a plan. Using the tools of the "Community Church Movement"(consultants, books, seminars, meetings, planters, seeders) they slowly started initiating change so it was never noticed by the members until it was too late.....

At the heart of the plan was the fact that old members were going to be driven off so new techniques could be used to go out and reach the unchurched through new "Contemporary Holy Entertainment" methods developed by the "Community Church Movement"

Old members had to be kept on board long enough to get their plans ready, or the funds would not be there to pay for the new building. So by the plans very nature, it had to be secret.

The church had no plan in effect to renew or approve elders. There was never any need. The elders had always been "as approved by God". 10 of the last 15 elders would begin to shed some doubt on that.

The Elders did not even need a majority at first, because some of the elders went along unwittingly.

This edition starts shortly after some of the members begin to smell something strange in January 2001. Later editions may go back and fill in some of the timeline.

To even start to understand whats happening here, you must read the background materials in the first of the book.

This is only the first edition, and not the end. New editions will be printed as needed. To keep abreast of current changes, please visit our web site; http://www.concernedmembers.com/madison
