Does anyone know the whole of the poem 'Mazeppa's Ride'? I used to know it off by heart but now I only remember these bits:

With flowing tail and flying mane Wide nostrils ne'er stretched by pain

Flanks bloodless to the spur or rod And feet that iron never shod ......

....... A thousand horse, the wild the free Came thickly thundering on ....

It's really bugging me now.

Help!

With flowing tail, and flying mane,
Wide nostrils -never stretch'd by pain,
Mouths bloodless to the bit or rein,
And feet that iron never shod,

And flanks unscarr'd by spur or rod.

A thousand horse, the wild, the free,

Like waves that follow o'er the sea,

Came quickly thundering on.

........next question please ?
