Is anyone aware or have they tried out the Dynawing soft wing sails ? Details are on http://www.dynawing.com/ProductWindsurfer.html and also at info@dynawing.com Evidently sails are made both in England and the United States. Interesting stuff. Wes.

Yes, the Dynawing/dynarig sounds very interesting. I was very close to buying one last year, but a couple of things prevented it.
Firstly, I crashed the boat and ended my sailing for the season while I rebuilt.
Secondly, the sail is fairly expensive for an experiment. It may pilot the boat much faster than existing sails, but then again, I wasn't sure it would, so it was a gamble I was hesitant to take.
Thirdly, the sail is made of monofilm, and that is not very durable. If I was going to take the risk, it'd have been nice to know that it was going to last quite a few years. I've found that ice sailing tends to be hard on the sails. Once the monofilm has a hole in it, that is it for that whole panel. Continued sailing with the hole propagates it across the whole panel. Ask how I know that.
I corresponded with a guy from the company last year and he seemed knowledgeable and was willing to have a sail made for me. The sails at that time were made after the order was received. I think it is a very intriguing concept, and the concepts make sense to me, but my fear is that it might not, in practice, improve the speed all that much. The reason I think that is because we are still trying to use at high speeds, a sail that was designed for lower speeds. The drag would still be way too high compared to other very fast iceboat rigs.
Just my 2 cents.
