A thought

The thought occured to me (a big problem at times) would it be feasible to build a dirt boat with a cross beam up front and a pivotable center beam extending aft from the center where you can sit?

Was just thinking that this would balance the craft?
Kinda like you see people hanging from the sides of racing sloops.

have the beams stationary with steerable wheels up front and a pivotable tail wheel.
May be crazy and no reason...but thought I'd inquire.
Seems to me that a tremendous amount of drag is on the wheels...maybe there is a way to balance out the craft...make it more aerodynamic.
