Hi,
I'm making hardboard templates for TE,TF,TC,TB and TG. I printed out the templates from the plans, taped them togeather but When I transfer them to the wood I noticed that all but "TG" have 90° corners at the bottom.
In the plans "TG" mounts right behind "TE and TF" which have 90° corners.
So after all that my question is, are the corners on "TG" supposed to be 90° and I screwed up printing, cutting and taping..?

Hi Dave

You're right, the template for TG is not 90 degrees at the bottom. When I built my Ice Flyer, I did square off this part.

To make sure all the parts fit correctly, I cut out the sides and parts TE, TF, TB and the back cross piece. I attached TF to TE and dry fitted with clamps all the pieces in place. I now had my basic shape for the boat and I custom fitted parts TG and TC along with the other parts.

Hope this helps.
