Fully sheeted plus

Would there be any advantages to rigging the boom in such a way that you could pull it past fully sheeted and into the wind a bit?

It would be easy to find out. Normally you have the sheet exactly centered when you tie off to the boom but you could also easilly have the sheet centered but skew the sail over to one side when you tied the end of the boom. On one tack, the sail could be sheeted past center and on the other tack, the sail could not be sheeted in enough but could be let out more. Id guess there is some chance it might be a little faster set up for an upwind/downwind type of race in light to medium winds.
