Hi !

I just finish building my second iceboat.

So i took the iceflyer design and i did some mods to add a cockpit to it and here what it looks like.

I present to you the «Rafale II»:

Hopefully i will have a chance this week to try it.

Great job. I'm sure it will be a lot warmer with the cockpit. Good luck sailing it.

Sailed my Ice Flyer for the first time this year, yesterday on a local lake here in central Massachusetts. Wind steadily increased during the day and I had some great runs. Hope to get out this weekend.

Thanks Roger!

Good luck to you !

I went on the ice wednesday and the boat is really fun to ride!

I had put on my 7.5 , the wind was about 20 Km/hr with smooth black ice . So it was perfect for a test ride.

I forgot my GPS but i was going fast enough to be happy.

Hi !

I went for a ride with my friends here in Montreal and we tried our new iceboats.
Very nice day and the ice condition was 7/10(snow covered about 2 in.). wind = 25 km/hr.
And max speed that day with my Rafale II = 66 Km/hr.

So i'm very happy about this second ride, i will have to come back with my old pedals system because the one i'm using right now isn't very solid.(not as safe as the other one).

Hope you have fun on the ice... here in Montreal there is too much snow over the ice now.

bye Stéphane.

Three of us sailed Saturday on crunchy ice and 4 to 5 inches of snow. Fortunately the wind was strong enough to push us through it. I didn't think the Ice Flyer could sail through the snow, so i sailed the Super DN instead.
