While I never had any real problem with the conventional Ice Flyer plank attachment system, I decided to install a DN system using plates and studs. It is made to break away with minimal damage to the hull (I can attest to that) in the event the plank or runners hit something and will ensure the plank is in the same relative position each time. An added benefit is the ability to move the plank back 3 inches. I'll let everyone know how it works this winter.
