The login for this forum is a hassle but it seemed that network 54 had about the easiest login and its commonly used by other web sites. If you have a question, please ask, there are other's who are building boats or have built one and possibly can offer some advice.

I am considering building an ice boat. I have purchased the plans and would like to know the approximate price of all of the components (non wood) and approx. price to complete a boat and time needed

Have been wanting to sail on ice for years but didn't have enough cash to make it come true. Now I have completed my version of the Classic and it works. Now for the refinements. An newer sail is first I guess.

Got my first taste of ice sailing on jan. 5. A bunch of local guys built DN style boats 10/12 years ago when the ice was good. After 9 years of bad ice its good again! I got plans and started building a DN immediately. Then yesterday I found Ice Flyer. It looks like the "one" to me. Are kits a future possibility? Hardware in particular? Thanks
