Response to Why?

"Maybe if Cardiff were selling out this year and next year, putting a healthy bit of money into Candy's back pocket (i know hes not the flavour of the year) then the council will see that Cardiff deserve a bigger arena because they have the fan base to fill it."

The arena (or lack of) isn't the big problem. This was something that Bob Phillips used as a smokescreen for his decision to run a team with lower running costs. The Council are committed to the new sports village - they have just invested £1 million to kick-start the project. When the arena is built I can't see Candy or Phillips getting any lease anyway.

"Then maybe Candy will look to see if the team could go back into the ISL, providing it is there."

Doesn't much matter to be honest. If it's ISL and Candy or Phillips or another linked person is in charge - I aint watching.

"Many of you are going to waste money watching former players play elsewhere, what about the Cardiff fans who cannot afford this but want to watch hockey, i think you should support the local talent playing a good standard of hockey, after all you say you have no problem with the BNL!"

Yep, there's no problem with the BNL. I'm planning on making my way over to Hull this season. The problem is still not with the standard, or with the BNL but with Phillips and Candy. Whilst they are in charge, I will not waste my money and set foot inside.
