I think that the Kip Noble interview seemed genuine, e.g he mentions not getting on the players back, but the Steve Thornton one seems dubious. If he indeed said that then it is very unprofessional to slag off fellow players whether in a lower division or not. Steve always seemed a genuine guy so i dont believe that was from him
