Response to Less junior hockey??

In answer to your questions. In the 10yrs ive been involved with the jnr development you can count on one hand how many times tyhe imports have been on the ice with the kids without being told they had to, then it was a waste of time as they spent most of the time talking to the parents, apart from Brent Pope who was always there until he was told by Paul Heavey he wasnt to do it. No I dont expect the lads to replace Chinny Stoney etc, but some of them could break into the team. As for the jnrs hours being cut I have written this before but I will repeat it Under merv (who by the way is the best thing that has happened to the kids down there) their fees have been reduced by 40%but they are still getting the same amount of training time ie the kids that are good enough are now training their own age group plus the age group above, the other kids are training with the b teams of older age groups as well as their age groups. So nothing changes, same amount of ice time less money as a father I havent got a problem with that. Lastly I have heard about the lease but havent seen it, what I can make out is that BP will buy it back if BC doesnt have senior hockey as the rink is a viable proposition on its own, but with hockey in the BNL with less outlay it would break even, with ISL it loses money.
