Genuine question for Devils Mouth

I am just a simple soul who likes ice hockey but am in no way fanatical about it. I have been to a fair few of Cardiff Devils games over the last 12 years but I enjoy football much more and consequently go to many more footie games.

I have not been to any Devils games this season not because I’m a fod or anything else but because I’m totally confused and perplexed about all the arguments which are going on. I readily admit that I don’t even begin to understand the accusations and counter accusations about leases, who owns what, who did this, who did that etc. etc.
I have read everything posted on the fods site, the hockeyforum site, this site and any other site that discusses the problems in Cardiff.

The more I read, the more confused I become. I don’t have a clue if Bob Phillips is a good guy, a bad guy or anything in between. I know even less about Brian Candy. So much mud has been flung by both sides that my vision has become completely obscured.

What I do know is that the proud name of the Cardiff Devils has become very badly besmirched and that saddens me so very much. I long to see an end to all the arguments and a return to “ normality “ for want of a better word.

I don’t know who you are but other posters have said that you are Peter Curtis and you are Bob Phillips’ PR man. I haven’t seen you refute this so I presume this to be the case. My question to you is entirely based on that being a correct presumption.

My question then is what exactly is your role in this sorry fiasco? Are you employed to try and persuade the fods that their views about the character and actions of Mr Phillips are totally misconceived or are you only interested in persuading other people that this is the case and that the fods are nothing more than a trouble-making minority? Are you looking to build bridges with the fods to try and get them to return to the rink as paying fans or are you trying to alienate and isolate them? Has it been decided that the way forward is to forget the fods and attempt to persuade a wholly new set of fans to attend games?

These are genuine questions from someone who is desperate to see a resolution to the issue for the sake of the club’s good name and I hope you can give me a genuine reply. No double speak just plain straightforward answers - PLEASE!
