What's the NHL got to do with it? The NHL is clearly the most skillfull league in the world, yet there is very little difference in ability between the players on the ice, yet you claim the attraction of BNL is the mix of abilities? I remember MC and Mo skating rings past players of leeser ability pre isl, what you had then was something akin to a basketbal match, Mo got the puck, skated past the British D men as if they weren't there and scored. I'm sure he once scored 9+5 in a single match. What do you prefer? A nailbiting 4-3 or a 12-0 massacre with the kids icing the last period?
I agree that the clutch and grab, dump and chase game can be boring, but so is watching a game that is all over after one period. | |
