My point is that those boys have dreamt of pulling on a Devils sweater, coming onto the ice in front of 2,500 people playing ALONGSIDE people like Mo not INSTEAD of him.
At 16 years of age, with one or two exceptions, I personally don't feel they're ready. I was really pleased when Jona signed pro terms with the Devils only to be disappointed that he didn't get more ice time. When he DID play in my opinion he was able to contribute.
I wouldn't want to see a team made up of 100% Canadians, and think it's important that kids have something to aspire to - I just don't think that this was what they had in mind!
