Now Sheffield are sorted (it seems) it has really sunk in that there will be no Sheffield/Cardiff battles this season.

Even though Cardiff werent as big a rival as Nottingham, its true to say that Cardiff and Sheffield dominated British Hockey together for a fair few years, teams dominate for a year or two but these two teams were a force and I will never forget some of the games between the teams, that 12-1 game at Wembley (ouch), the game in Wales when a last minute Stephen Cooper mistake basically gave us the Premier League. And of course those penaltys at Wembley.

I also class a Devils game as the most memorable non-steelers game in my memory that 5-0 Playoff Semi in Manchester, I still have it on video. The only time in history and probably for years to come when the name "Steelers" was chanted with a welsh accent, dont deny it, it happened

I hope things sort themselves out in Wales, Cardiff is a HOCKEY city and hopefully Phillips will get out and let the legacy of the True Devils return to the Cardiff rink.

Good luck
