If you make a donation to the Canadian Breast Cancer
Foundation, please mention "lacrosse" in a note with
the donation. At my request, in memory of my wife
Brenda, the CBCF will then direct the funds to a
facility seeking a "cure", rather than a "control".

DOVE 2009 - We need your support!

by (Login Zacher)

Greetings,

There have been a number of individuals either registering to participate or wanting to volunteer with the impression that all the spots are full. This is not the case and we'll welcome any form of support you wish to provide! Besides showcasing our first national sport with professional, amature and celebrity participants from across the province we have a huge silent auction which includes a 32" HD television and HD PVR, Levono Tablet Notebook and a pair of high end mountain bikes with a crap load of accessories, our Saturday Family Fun Fair will be held in the ACC parking lot with face painting, various games, food, bouncy castle, face painting and for Cooke a magic show! The end of the 37 hour game will be accented with a display of local talent when the Newmarket Saints play Orillia at 8:00 pm at ACC (Aurora Community Centre).

For more information please check out the website (www.laxdove.ca)

Finally, the registration deadline is May 22, 2009. This will allow us to flush out the schedule and coordinate your online donations with the incentive prize packages you have earned. Yes, this year you can have your friends and family pledge you online, so no more need to bring cash to the event. The bonus is that we can have your prizes ready to deliver before the event even occurs.

I'll be in Midland this weekend with additional information and posters for circulation. I would be happy to answer your questions.

Cheers,

Jim
