Since I first got on the internet years ago I have spent hours and hours looking and waiting for something beyond the debris of information I found about Lowlife. I discovered Swing, It Swirl back in the mid-80's, then got everything I could right up to San Antorium. It wasn't easy here in the US. I could find no one who had even heard of them. There were never any liner notes, nothing. I knew they were from Grangemouth and their names and labels. That was it. I didn't even know what they looked like. But I loved them, and still do. They are the deepest, longest lasting, more obscure and secret part of my music collection. Nothing else touches me like their music. The bands I love most - Cocteau Twins, Mogwai, Arab Strap... Scotland. What's that about?
Anyway, finding the Permanent Sleep site was like a visitation from the spirits. Videos! Music! Pictures! Actual information! Hope for the future! (I'd kill to go see them reassemble) Just incredible. Thank you.
I thank you for the site comments. delighted to hear another devoted Lowlife fan found this site to be (( da bomb ))
Just had to find the right outlet for my devotion to this Scottish wonder. Creating PermanentSleep.com was my way of letting the world know "Hey!! I'm not gonna let my favorite band permanently fall between the cracks. NOT ON MY WATCH!"

p.s. haven't really heard from many people on their comments about the videos I put up. I know you all are watching it. I can tell from the stats I'm getting back. What's up???
maybe it's just the SHOCK of actually seeing them in motion. I hope Craig doesn't look too into this but for a few moments of "Ramafied" he gave a Dave Gahan look across the mic.
When I clicked on the videos and saw that music I knew so well coming out of human beings, I was breathless. It sort of reminded me of once a long time ago I came across an old photograph and asked my sister who it was. She told me it was our Aunt Winnie, who had died long before we were born, and who was never mentioned. For 15 years I've been looking for a bit of information, and now I find out there's all this: faces, movement... The script on the Ramafied video is crushingly depressing. What an indictment of the industry. My God.
