well i was one of many and i was there with friends...and only talked to
another guy from texas....so unless that was you, we did not meet.
interesting....well without having a face to match with a name, and unless
you really stand out in a crowd, then i have no idea who you are....
but friends are always welcome....it was a great show....even if i was getting
a little bit too much from the right side of the moving wave of partiers!
all good though! second skin was a good time...and then burgess
jumps in....and i didn't know reg could play drums! and john plays bass!
heck!
im only dancing!

I Come From Wishville

October 9 2002, 1:52 PM

I'm a local and part of the Chameleons' "Wishville" online forum. It's like a family, most of us got to meet for the first time. The enthusiastic people in front are all members, many had come from England. I was standing right behind them, between the moshing and the statues behind me. On Friday I wore a light brown Script Of The Bridge sweater and Saturday a blue t-shirt with a golden leaf (New Order's True Faith). I'm rather quiet but tall and hung with other members and band well before and after the shows. I'm guessing you'd like the Wishville community.

will you ever laugh this one away?

uhm, i cannot say that i actually remember seeing you...and as for saying that i was standing 4 fractured rows in front of dave is going to be of any help to you...and by saying that i am not super tall but not short and that i was in a jeans jacket and a black and white striped shirt will not help as well... it's like saying "i was the one with the drink." but im glad you enjoyed yourself...i did too! ive been to wishville, i used to post very long time ago but got bored with talking about shows in the UK...couldn't relate so i bailed...no i wasn't there in 84 to see the last southern death cult show...would have liked to...no i don't remember the last chameleons show at the hammersmith or whatever its called. and there was some guy who kept making rude commentary and i just got bored...perhaps i will return...there were a few very likable people...them i have missed! it's nice to know that there are lowlife fans close by in new york city area...where do you hail from?

you might be surprised..

all they've been talking about on wishville are the local shows and how much it meant to everyone. i live in glendale, queens and have only known about the chameleons since spring of last year. since then i've basically bought all their stuff and they became my third favorite artist. i found out about lowlife from graynurse's posts on wishville. because lowlife albums are such rare items, i downloaded as many mp3's as i could find on the net, about 50. the sound quality isn't the greatest, but it's better than nothing. i'd gladly buy their albums on cd in new condition at a fair price. striped shirt? i vaguely recall someone wearing that. a girl at southpaw made the brief remark "pretty guitar" during the show. i doubt that was you. lol

will you ever laugh this one away?
