10 other great bands

December 3 2004 at 7:30 AM
Cousin John

Hi there,

It's great to read all your stories about Lowlife. I read that Eric is into Interpol. Not a bad choice Eric! And Lowlife girl is into SLAG.. (brilliant)

These are my favourite bands:

1. Sad Lovers and Giants
2. Comsat Angels
3. Catherine Wheel
4. Porcupine Tree / No-Man / Blackfield
5. Van der Graaf Generator / Peter Hammill
6. And also the Trees
7. Clan of Xymox
8. Peter Gabriel
9. Leonard Cohen
10.Marillion

I am interested in your favourite music. Perhaps the members of Lowlife themselves will tell us about their favourite music and influences on their music.

Regards from the netherlands

Couldn't help noticing the inclusion of Red Temple Spirits on your list. Got turned onto them as they toured w/a local (Lincoln, Ne, USA) band called For Against back in late 80's, early 90's... Do you have their material? Is so, would you take compensation to burn/copy it? Know any sites that might have their CD's for sale? You're the only other person I've found that has heard of this great band... Incidentally, I do have the limited letterpress 7" of "New Land" and "Exodus From Lhasa" from Independent Project Records. Do you know of For Against? If not, go to Words-on-music.com... A sure thing based on your list... Take care.
