aptly describes how Lowlife influenced my teenage years growing up in apartheid South Africa. This re-issue has allowed me to relive those times, rose tinted at times, but I havn't been able to stop playing the albums and relive some of those times and memories! The vinyl is gathering dust in Cape Town, the CD's are now digitised and the music is with me where ever I go.
I've spent the past 10 years travelling the world seeing bands that played a part in my formative years, with the Equity ban during apartheid, no one toured, I've had to make up for lost time. I've ticked off most of them, but Lowlife is still there right at the very top of the list of bands I want to see. I think the band would geniunlly be blown away by the amount of fans who would make the effort to get to a gig, Grangemouth, no problem! But a tour would be even better!
I drive past Grangemouth approx once a month, funnily enough woke up in Edinburgh this morning, but the trip will take on new meaning next month! Thanks to the guy who released the CD's. To the band, make alot of people very happy and announce some dates!
p.s anyone know where I can get hold of the T-shirt?
