Round one looked like it was going to go the way I had picked it, minus the Kaiser and AC loss. I can't believe the #13 seed knocked off the #4 seed! Props to Code Red Hawks for the big win...now its time to see what this week is going to look like and who looks like they'll be playing for the title!!!


Bracket 1

#5 Eagles vs. #13 Code Red Hawks

HUGE GAME RIGHT HERE PEOPLE!!! This will be the game to watch out of this round. Eagles look great, taking another step deeper into the playoffs, as Code Red has the game plan put together to pull a victory here. I believe, that eventhough close, the Eagles get the "W" here. Albany is a weaker division than the Eagles' Troy, so my pick will is based off that. This game will be tight though! Maybe the best of the day even!

#1 Orange Crush vs. #8 Maggies/Swifty's

No questions here, the Crush wins. Maggies gets a couple scores, but that will be it. They don't have the offensive line to compete with the Crush. The Crush cruise to the Semis here and begin to drool, knowing the Super Bowl is just one more game away...but...do the Crush have what it takes to take that next big step to the dance?....


Bracket 2

#2 Snap-On Snipers vs. #7 Gotbeer.com

What an intense game last week at the Gotbeer/AC game! By blocking an extra point at the end of the game, Gotbeer barely blocked the kick, with a possible roughing call that wasn't thrown, winning by one point! This will be a division rematch, and it will have the same results. I know Gotbeer won't admit it, but they would have rather played anyone else in the 2nd round, other then Snap-On. Snipers move onto the semis.

#3 Tri-City Fire vs. #6 Jersen Construction

TCF makes a push for the Super Bowl here, while Jersen's will struggle against TCF's offense. Jersen's hangs in there, but doesn't get the job done and their dreams slip away, as TCF walks away victorious on a Sunday morning.


SEMI FINAL MATCHUPS

Bracket 1

#1 Orange Crush vs. #5 Eagles

Here it is. The Semi finals. The winner goes to the biggest game ever in football, no matter the level, league, or whatever your age. The Crush is ready and so are the Eagles, and I think, deep down inside me, the Eagles swoop down and take what is theirs and thats a trip to the SB. Could be close, but all I know is the Eagles go to the Super Bowl. "The Choke Kings" as they have been dubbed, choke out against one of remaining Troy teams ocntinue their journey.

Bracket 2

#2 Snap-On Snipers vs. #3 Tri-City Fire

I was a fan of Tri-City during the end of the season, figured they'd do some damage, reguardless of their weaker reg. season/playoff schedule. Then...the quarterfinals happened, and these two get stuck playing each other. Thats when I shook my head and said, "damn...that's sad...I thought TCF was going to the dance". Snap-On and Tri-City have similiar records and point differentials, BUT too completely different divisions. It will be a Troy vs. Troy Super Bowl this year, as Snap-On squeeks out a "W" here. I believe TCF could have went to the dance OVER the Snipers, IF they had a tougher schedule earlier on. With the seemingly easy teams they've played, they won't have the readiness for this one. They fight and fight, but just can't get it done.

All I ever hear is how much stronger the Troy division is than any other. I've been in this league for a long time now and have always heard either Troy or Albany is the strongest division on a consistent basis. I have no idea why people automatically defer to either or. All I know is win lose or draw whoever stands in front of us better come ready to play! I've been to (and won) a championship game before so have a couple others that play on the squad so we know what it's like to win and play in a big game. I am looking forward to the fact that we have 2 Troy teams standing in front of us and the superbowl. I am by no means saying that we'll win the whole thing because I'm not that arrogant. I will say that whoever plays us better be ready for the toughest game they ever played because it's not going to be a cake walk no matter what anybody thinks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Crush will be in the Championship this year and you can mark my words. Many of you might think I'm very cocky, no I'm just very confident in myself and my teammates around me. There is no better team in the C's than the crush and this will be our year as long as we play up to our potential. If we play like we have all year we will be holding the trophy at the end. Its not that I think Troy and Albany are always the best, I just go from what I hear/see! Other then this season, and maybe even last season, Schenectady has been the toughest division, in my opinion. In their hay days, you had Finke, Bourbon, the old Intimidators/AC squad, Vipers, World One, Soldiers, Misfits and even Outsyders! Those teams played out of the Sch. conference, and look what they've done! Super Bowl champs/runner ups, and long playoff pushes! I just think this season Troy has the better teams. The Crush plays in A WEAK A$$ DIVISION!!! End of story! And the ONLY reason I picked Snap-On over TCF in the semis, is because of how bad Schenectady was this season, for the most part. Plus, TCF's OL (center) will struggle against Snap-On. The kid is what?....5'6" 165lbs, if that? He'll get rocked, and if TCF can't hold up against the outside rush of the Snipers, TCF will have a very very very long day.

Ok so i don't get how everyone is saying TCF has the easiest regular season schedule... The Falcons (Sch div) beat up on the Hereos (albany div.) and the Kaiser (Albany div) lost as a #4 seed... so as of now i am saying that the Orange Crush had the easiest schedule seeing the number 2 and 3 got beat down in the first round of the playoffs... don't sleep on us, we will pull another rabit out of the hat this week, we are coming out strong again against the Crush and we will find out who really is the weakest division...

That quote is awful, the best part about it, is that the super bowl is going to be both schenectady teams!!! SAWWWYYYYYY

That quote was meant to show how the division was, not certain teams bro. I've played in Schenectady and Troy divisions all my life (about 8yrs) and Schenectady, THIS SEASON, was weak. Lets be honest.

For the man that made a comment about my Albany statement, listen to what the man said a post or two below yours. #4 BOUNCED OUT OF THE PLAYOFFS!!! The Crush has had one of the easiest schedules, just like they have in seasons past (C Division-Albany). As for the comment on TCF, they are good, I just think Snap-On will be a little too fast, on the outsides and ruin TCF's center. If TCF can nickel and dime Snap-On and score on EACH possession, then TCF will stay in it. If they don't, they will let the game slip away.

Also, here's some food for thought....

Going against my picks, and going with the mass here on the boards, it looks like an Orange Crush/Tri-City Fire Super Bowl. If thats the case, then HANDS DOWN TCF WILL WIN BY ATLEAST A 21 POINT SPREAD!!! No joke! Thats if of course, these two even make it to the dance, and I'll be sticking with my predictions that I posted originally....Krackcase and myself have picked games throughout the seasons, and other then this season, I was beating him with his picks....believe in my wisdom...you can put your kids college tuition on these this week! lol ;)

The way I see it you can't argue with logic. The fact that Troy has 4 teams still alive says a lot about their division. There's one point that people are missing though. That's the fact that when you compare the bottom three teams across the three different divisions the difference between the points for and the points against shows that in Troy and Albany they had more points scored against them than in Schenectady and also didn't score as many points. No offense to the teams in question of course. What that says though is that those two divisions by far had an easier (stat padding) schedule than Schenectady did. With that said I am looking forward to actually being put to the test against the stronger teams in Troy. Statistically speaking of course because what it basically boils down to is what happens in a head to head match up. Stats don't mean a thing then. What matters most is heart and desire and the shear determination to win. That's why there's a funny little term known to the sporting world as an upset. We can sit here and disect this all we like until we're blue in the face but won't truly know until the dust settles on Sunday and the points are tallied up. Then we'll know who the real team was that wanted it the most. It doesn't always go to the most talented team statistically as the Giants proved 2 years ago. All I wish for is a good clean game and may the BEST TEAM THAT DAY WIN. That's what it's all about!

I got a chance to see them play.. and Simon looks like Ryan Leaf.. he's the most overrated quarterback since Joe Montana...Rich????..yeah he can talk all he wants but he knows he's not hype enough to play.. Brooks????...please..did you see the nightmare before Christmas?..he looks like that guy...TCF is the most overrated team in the playoffs...all they do is win but every time they win you have to point out why they suck so bad..maybe that the center for TCF's breath is so bad that defenses aren't as aggressive as you'd like..I just can't put a finger on it.. but Jessie thinks he's John Cena or like some super Military hero or something................
