Does anybody know if I can contact somehow CGFNS about my ID# so I can then contact them "properly" about my file???
How long does it take to send me ID#???

it takes very long to get the cgfns id#. It took me more than a year. It depends how soon the cgfns gets all the required papers from the appropriate departments.
When did you apply for it?
Do you need the cgfns? In some states they don't require you to have the cgfns certificate. If you don't have to, it's a blessing because you'll save a lot of time.
I just passed the nclex. I think it took me to get this license about one and a half year.

My experience is that you have to talk to an actual person at the CGFNS customer service and just keep calling them till you get the answers you need. Also, always ask for the person's name and extension # so you can call him/her back in case you need to.

I have not applied to the Certification Program too but to the CVS program of the CGFNS. Try sending them an email, not necessarily an inquiry on your CGFNS ID. I did send them an email inquiring about the status of my case, and when they replied, my CGFNS ID # was already included in their letter to me thru email. Try it, it had worked for me.

I got my RN license in CA. After I sent my VisaScreen request form Dec, 2002, I received my CGFNS # on Feb. 22 this year. It was pretty quick though my status on their web site is still pending my NCLEX and English exam test results.
By the way, does anybody know how to get NCLEX test result send to VisaScreen? How much do they charge? All I saw on the NCLEX website is that they only offer personal verification requests to Board of Nursing, not Agencies like CGFNS, I am very troubled
