WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME.
DO YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE ON WHAT I SHOULD DO?
SHOULD I EVEN TAKE THE NCLEX-RN AGAIN?

Hi Liz!! I know what you feel. But pls dont give up hope. You pass nursing school so you have the ability to be a good RN. Maybe you need more time understanding the test. Did you try KAPLAN? Its very good and they will teach you how to answer the question using critical thinking. I am also struggling to pass the exam. Next Feb. will be my third try. I do believed that GOD hears all our prayers and grants all hearts desire in his time. Blessings to you and dont give up!!!

Liz:

To be successful on NCLEX you need to consider changing the method(s) you have been using to study. Many people have great success with Kaplan, if they adopt and consistently apply the strategies they suggest.

If you are studying alone, then strongly consider finding a study partner. Studying with a partner or small group can be very beneficial.

Also, have you contacted the school from which you graduated? They may be able to help you with content review, test taking advice (especially how to respond to questions on computer), and perhaps an opportunity to audit nursing classes.

Good luck with your efforts. The important thing to remember is that you are supported in your efforts. Don't go it alone, seek help from those around you.

I understand where you are coming from. I am all over this forum myself. I took the test 5 times myself. I passed in Sept. I took Kaplan and it helped me to pass. Don't give up. You can do it. I did. I strongly suggest Kaplan.

I just wanted to respond to what you were saying about losing faith in NCLEX. I know it's so tricky, and it seems like they actually try to trip you up any way they possibly can,but you CAN do it!! I took boards 3 times and failed. Then I bought the Kaplan book on HOW to answer their questions. It helped me so very much. It doesn't have so much content material, but it tells you what to look for, and how to know what they want you to answer. It taught me to reword the question after reading it, then elimate answers first before choosing the right answer. I too, strongly suggest KAPLAN. I passed on my 4th try, and am now an RN. You will be too.
Good luck. I'm praying for you.

HI: I TOOK THE RN BOARDS FOR THE FOURTH TIME AND PASSED. I CHANGED MY STUDY HABITS AND I WAS GIVEN THE HELEN FEUER REVIEW. IT HELPED ME AND JUST FOCUSING ON ONE STUDY MATERIAL IS BETTER. I TOOK THE KAPLAN REVIEW AND IT WAS NOT FOR ME. KEEP THE FAITH AND TRY AND REVIEW WHAT YOU HABITS WERE FOR THE OTHER EXAM AND CHANGE THEM FOR THE NEXT ROUND. GOOD LUCK AND KEEP YOUR FAITH...
