"Oh he kissed her, Who did ? He did, Where?"

My late mother , born 1916 had this record which I liked as a child in the fifties. It was played by a male jazz type band with a tenor singing the opening line and the other guys joining in to shout out the question line:

Oh he kissed her
Who did?
He did,
Where?
On her doorstep last night.
(All repeated with different tune ending of last line)

He said You are my darling Kate
As he sqeezed her fingers in the garden gate
Oh he kissed her
Who did?
He did
Where?
On her doorstep last night.

.....Then there was a band playing the tune only but whith a voiceover from the lead saying things like
"Her neck was like a swan's...a black one understand..."
I thought this was really witty when I was bout 8. Any idea who or what it was? The record is long lost I fear.
