I wondered if any one could do a search for me please for The Aldro Dance Band based in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire. The Aldro was fronted by my Dads late Uncle, George Spence who played piano. We have photo's of the band members with their instruments and the business cards they used. Even old programmes of functions they attended between 1930 and 1940, but have never heard any of their recordings (if they ever made any??) My Dad was told they did record for the BBC just at the out break of WWII. But when most of the members were called up for active service in the forces, this stopped any thoughts of them having 'glittering careers' in the music business.
If any one could help or point me in the right direction I would be grateful.
