I'm looking for stories, pictures &c relating to bands who have played in Newcastle-on-Tyne between about 1920 - 1940, principally at Fenwick's Tea Rooms ( e.g. Billy Ternent, Jos Q Atkinson, Willie Walker ) or The Oxford Galleries ( London Sonora Orchestra, Percy Bush - with Lew Stone on the piano?, Peter Fielding, ? Richardson ).
This is for a small exhibition.
Oral Histories/ photos of musicians and dancers would be welcomed.
I'm a retired Museum Curator so know how to look after other people's treasures!
