In the Spring, the coaches were disappointed with this line because they said they were too soft. In the spring game, I felt they were big marshmallows, at 300+ lbs, who lacked any aggressiveness and it showed. In the scrimmage, they kind of looked the same way we did last year, IMO. We were only more successful than in the spring because we didn't hold onto the ball longer than a few seconds and we ran more than usual and we have physical backs. I'm going to have a guarded opinion on "best since the mid-80s" until after the scUM and UT games.
I certainly hope they're strong. If they are, then many, many things will happen this year that will be good. For one, Grossman can just about dust off a place for his Heisman and we'll have an unstoppable offense. |
