You will eventually be able to play XBox online. However, you will be able to play on-line as well with the PS II. I chose PSII over xbox, mainly due to the games. Sony already has established networks with game developers that Gates' whores have not. Without games, you've got a worthless hunk of crap sitting in the corner of your room. Also, I think Microsoft is planning on charging around $40 a month for their online service for Xbox.
