Does a lack of estrogen causes depressed mood? I have taken servial estrogen pill formulas that have not agreed with me. Might not the patch be a better source for me? Will I get the same affects as the pill?

There are a number of different estrogen preparations available. Those with progesterone in them are more commonly associated with mood disorders. A change to a patch or another type of estrogen may be helpful. You should discuss this with your gynecologist.
