Hello everyone, I am a student of management. I am doing a project on Asset Reconstruction Companies titled "Solutions for ARCs". In this project I have to find pout what are problems being faced by various ARCs and what can make them a success. What all are the challengs that they face.
E.g. one of the problems they face is lack of secondary market where they can sell the assets they bought from the banks. So how are they going to realize the proceeds to pay for the units that they issued to banks originally.
Also, if the banks contribute to the equity of this ARC then there might not be actual flow of cash because they have to contribute moneyt to capital of ARC also.
Like this there could be many other problem. Anybody who has any articles relevant to the same please post them to mail id. What possible solution could be offered to make them a success.
Recently Indian government passed an Ordinance on ARCs. Also, India now has its first ARC called Asset Reconstruction Company of India Limited. Please let me know of the above mentioned details.

There are cases of ARCs in S.E Asis like Danaharta, KAMCO etc. Reasonf for why they have been successful ?
