Seeking Japanese-speaking CMBS banker!!!!

I'm an executive recruiter with The Weatherly Group in New York specializing in the recruitment of investment professionals for our clients in the hedge fund industry. One of our clients is looking to hire an Associate to focus on Asian real estate securities in Greenwich, CT and a CMBS underwriter in Tokyo. They will be responsible for investing in debt instruments, including CMBS bonds, B-Notes, Mezzanine Debt, and whole loans in Asia with a focus on Japan. The ideal candidates will pay close attention to detail, be a team player, and have 3-5 years of financial experience, in investment banking, real estate private equity or on the buy side. Candidates should have Japanese language skills and/or experience with the Japanese markets.

Responsibilities
Property and asset evaluation
Fundamental analysis, modeling, and structural analysis of CMBS B-pieces and loans
Close interaction with Tokyo based analysts
Make specific investment recommendations and buy/sell decisions
Involvement with all aspects of the portfolio process
Interaction with Wall Street brokers/bankers/analysts and industry experts


Qualifications
3 - 7 years experience in real estate, investment banking, private equity, investment, treasury, or corporate banking
Strong academic track record MBA and/or professional certifications are highly desired
Prior analysis/coverage of CMBS, B-notes, mezzanine debt, whole loans, other elements of real estate finance
Fluency in Japanese and/or experience in Asian real estate markets Excellent communication and organizational skills
Superior work ethic and professional habits
Strong MS Office and computer skills Trepp, Intex, and Argus experience a plus
