Future of securitisation in Europe

by (no login)

Im currently writing my graduate thesis on mortgage backed securitisation in europe and its future. I konw that Basle 2, euro integration, The Euro, Legal and Regulatory changes made by european countries, will influence the future of securitisation in Europe. I was wondering if there are other important factors (possible ripple effect from Enron -->off-balance sheet abuse) influencing the european market? Any ideas?

I was thinking of putting a questionnaire online, and hoping that investors and issuers throughout europe would willing to participate. any questionnaire suggestions?

thanks and greets

Erik

Idealy for this sort of a query, you may either like to read a book or to go for basic professional advice. Would you think of reading:

what is the accounting treatment, more specificaly how wil one resolve the imbalance between on and off balance items for securitisation?(assuming that the originator passes 100% control in the assets and continues to service the assets)

Accounting question

by (no login)

This is easily anwered by the accounting standards - you have to measure teh servicing fees as a servicing asset or servicing liability, and that stays on the books. The rest goes off. Would you like to see the accounting chapter in my book:

Well, google.com is always a good source for finding what you need. This is my personal choice for financial resources, structuring, and securitization.
