Unit 4 + 2 - 3:30
Now I don't know how you managed to miss this, but this band was the other half that made up Argent, alongside with the Zombies, as you all know. The band was basically a one-hit wonder with "Concrete and Clay" in '65, releasing singles that charted lowly/didn't chart thereafter. This song, their last single, was their most psychedelic, sounding very Zombies-like. Minor piano chords, lush orchestration, and even a bit of guitar solo, too.

Happy End - Tobenai Sora
Okay, this is a bit better than Yellow Magic Orchestra, which the bass/keyboard player Haruomi Hosono went on to form. This has a folksy, dreamy Procol Harum-esque feel in it. Sounds pretty haunting, but I'm usually a sucker for that kind of organ tone, so say what you will.

Bill Fay - Screams in the Ears
Bob Dylan imitation here, and a mighty nice one too. Bill Fay here sounds a bit higher-pitched to make a dead-on imitation, but pretty convincing nevertheless. The result is pretty romping, yet somewhat majestic, and memorable too.

Lazy Smoke - Salty People
Incoming leeeetttharrrrggyyyland. With the second part even more slower, no less. But, I think the slowness actually makes the song a bit wistful, and hypnotic (the desired effect I suppose), what with someone whispering the song name non-stop. Nice song to snooze too/calm your mind to overall.

Tiny Tim - The Other Side
Oh yeah, there are quite a bit of freaky moments in Tiny Tim's debut,
God Bless Tiny Tim, but this one is undoubtedly the most freakiest. Starting with some "evil" laughter, the songs goes to an ominous groove with delayed vocals. The song, in the end, turns out to be an
environmental song, singing about the icecaps melting (!!!), and how
we'll all have a swimmin' time. Weeeeeiiiiiiirrrrdddd.
