Pay it forward.......

Nice picture. Looks like a beautiful place to take a break.

I know what you mean on the camera. Hard to imagine sometimes how things turn out.

Last fall I had some surgery and of course, you can't wear any jewelry so I gave my wife everything (gold necklace and three rings, me wedding ring and one of which was my great grandfather's wedding ring) and she put it in a ziploc bag and into her purse. Well, somehow it fell out of her purse and it was all lost. She cried a lot while I was in the hospital (Labor Day weekend to boot) and when she told me she was just crushed. We figured it would be a waste of time, but someone suggested to check the lost and found at the Mayo building so on our last day in MN. she decided to take a walk over there. The nice lady said sorry, nothing had been turned in. Fast forward about 4 hours and we were down in the common area where the lost and found is located. We walked along (she did, me in the wheelchair) and she pointed out the desk and the lady she spoke with. I asked if she was going to check one more time before we left for the train station to which she replied that it was a waste of time, that she was so sorry, and that it was all her fault. I said "hey, we're right in front of the desk so let's just ask before we go". The lady behind the counter took one look at my wife and just lit up. She said she so hoped to see my wife again as she didn't leave a ph.#, just in case. Sure enough, she had the bag and everything was in it. We're talking about some cash value here and someone turned it in instead of doing what we expected.
