of the riders were caught off gaurd with the fuel usage against that wind.It would have been nice to see what the actual wind speed was, but it was directly against us,that I know.Just think if we had been running with the wind,we could have really run some miles with our Aux tanks. When Lun and I stopped to fill,our fuel usage was nearly Identical, I had a little more capacity than Lun,so he was setting the stops,about 150 miles,we had planned for 275 mile stops, so the difference between 5-6 fuel stops, and what should have been 3 stops to Miles City, already was taking it's bite out of the time frame. Then with the failure of the Mule,we were pushing the time even more.
