Not too sure what you are considering the Sawtooth area. My concept is up near Lowman and Stanley,and that adds pretty many miles to your loop.
The road from ID Hwy 55(Banks-Lowman Rd at N44.08404 W116.11367) is paved and a fun,twisty road to run.Continue on ID Hwy 21 (at Lowman) & 75 over to Challis and US 93 S to get back on route. If you would do this, consider riding down thru Driggs, ID and seeing the backside of the Tetons, before riding up over Teton Pass on Hwy 22 into Jackson. Motels in the Jackson area are not cheap, if you find anything under $100 you are lucky.
Just ride, part of the adventure is finding "your own road."
